I made the granola cluster. 〜グラノーラ・クラスターを作りました〜

Kahlua: "I might be going to take a little more nap, because I'm still sleepy."

カルア：「ぼくは、もうちょっとお昼寝させてもらうかも。まだ眠いから。」

Mommy: "OK."

ママ：「わかった。」

Mommy: "Then, I'm going to make the granola cluster. This spatula is from the cake contest when I won second place. I was happy then, and I realized that the second never becomes the first. Well, that's just a small thing."

ママ：「じゃあママは、グラノーラ・クラスターを作るわね。このスパチュラは、ケーキコンテストで２位を獲得したときのものだわ。あの時はうれしかったけれど、２位は永遠に１位にはならないのよね。まあ、小さなことなんだけど。」

Kahlua: "Who are you talking to, mommy?"

カルア：「誰に向かってしゃべってるの、ママ？」

Kona: "She is talking by herself as usual."

コナ：「いつもの独り言だよ。」

Mommy: "The sugar mixture is with organic sugar, farmer's market honey and molasses."

ママ：「お砂糖のミックスは、オーガニックのお砂糖と、ファーマーズマーケットのはちみつ、それからサトウキビを煮詰めた糖蜜よ。」

Ehime: "Are you making candy?"

えひめ：「ママ、キャンディーを作ってるでしゅか？」

Mommy: "No. I actually use six cups of oats and some of Rice Krispies, dry cranberries, almond & pecan nuts, flax seeds & pumpkin seeds. They are supposed to be good for our health in addition to the good taste."

ママ：「ううん。実はこの中には、６カップの麦やライスクリスピー、ドライクランベリー、アーモンドやピーカンナッツ、亜麻仁、パンプキンシードが入るからね。味がいいことに加えて、健康にもいいはずよ。」

Mommy: "Everything was mixed together. Now let's spread it on the baking sheet and bake it in the oven."

ママ：「全部混ざったわね。さあ、ベーキングシートに広げて、オーブンで焼こう。」

Kona: "What happened to our dinner?"

コナ：「ぼくたちの晩ごはんは、どうなった？」

Mommy: "Oh, 6:00pm already! I'm getting your dinner ready now."

ママ：「ああ、もう午後6時！今すぐ晩ごはんの支度をするわね。」

After dogs' dinner　犬たちの晩ごはんのあと

Mommy: "It's done. I think I'm going to cool it for now, so it can be hard enough to slice up."

ママ：「できた。ちょっと冷ましておこうかな。そうすれば、ちょっと硬くなってスライスしやすいから。」

Ehime: "Mommy, brother Kona is eating something."

えひめ：「ママ〜　コナにいがなんか食べてる〜」

Mommy: "What!? What is 'something'?"

ママ：「えっ！？　なんかってなに？」

Kona: "I'm just chewing a dog toy."

コナ：「犬のおもちゃをかじってるだけだよ。」

Mommy: "Oh, that's no problem. He took the trouble of bringing an orange to us that I happened to leave on the coffee table the other day, right? I thought he has the orange in his mouth again."

ママ：「ああ、それなら大丈夫。こないだ、ママがコーヒーテーブルに置きっ放しにしてしまったみかんを、コナくんがわざわざ持ってきてくれたでしょう？またコナくんが、お口にみかんを入れてるのかと思ったわよ。」

Daddy: "I think the granola cluster is cool enough. Let's slice up."

パパ：「グラノーラ・クラスター、もう十分冷めたんじゃないかな。スライスしよう。」

Mommy: "I guess you want to eat the granola cluster."

ママ：「パパ、グラノーラ・クラスターを食べたいんだね。」

Kahlua: "If I pray hard, I believe the food is falling down from the counter. (mumbling...)"

カルア：「一生懸命念じれば、きっとカウンターから食べ物が落ちてくるはずだ。（むにゃむにゃ‥‥）」
