For our good friend♪ 〜仲良しのお友達のために♪〜

Ehime: "Why don't we play with a tennis ball this afternoon?"

えひめ：「今日の午後は、テニスボールで遊ぶっていうのはどうでしゅか？」

Mommy: "Well, Ehime. I heard Leo's & Sophie's mommy is feeling down today. "

ママ：「あのね、ひめたん。今日レオくんとソフィちゃんのママさんが元気がないらしいの。」

Ehime: "Oh, really?"

えひめ：「しょうなんでしゅか。」

Mommy: "So I want to make something with the chocolate she loves and cheer her up."

ママ：「それでね、ママさんの大好きなチョコレートで何か作って、元気づけてあげたいのよ。」

Ehime: "Good idea."

えひめ：「いいでしゅね〜」

Mommy: "We already did a walk twice today. Can you chew a bone with your brothers for a little while?"

ママ：「今日はもう二回お散歩に行ったから、お兄ちゃんたちと一緒に、しばらくカミカミしててくれる？」

Ehime: "No problem."

えひめ：「もちろんでしゅよ。」

Mommy: "Let's use Kiss chocolate that I used for making a flower decoration."

ママ：「お花のデコレーションを作るのに使ったキスチョコレート、これを使おうっと。」

Mommy: "Low sodium peanut butter. I think this is good."

ママ：「減塩のピーナッツバター。うん、これでいいわね。」

Mommy: "Combine peanut butter, sugar and an egg. And roll them into small balls on the cookie sheet and bake in the oven."

ママ：「ピーナッツバターとお砂糖、卵を一緒に混ぜて、と。それから生地を小さなボールに丸めてクッキーシートに乗せて、オーブンで焼いて。」

Mommy: "After finishing baking, put a kiss chocolate in the middle of the ball. Mmm, looks yummy!"

ママ：「 焼き上がったらボールの真ん中にキスチョコレートを乗せる、と。ん〜、おいしそう！」

Kona: "They smell so good♪"

コナ：「おいしそうなにおい♪」

Ehime: "Please drop one for me♥"

えひめ：「ひとつ落とちてくだしゃ〜い♥」

Mommy: "No chocolate for you guys, unfortunately."

ママ：「残念だけど、チョコレートはダメ。」

Mommy: "Would you like one, darling?"

ママ：「パパ、ひとつ食べる？」

Daddy: "Oh, is it the time for a bribe?"

パパ：「おお、わいろの時間？」

Mommy: "What do you think of putting them in a box like this, Kahlua?"

ママ：「カルアくん、こうやって箱に詰めるのはどうかな？」

Kahlua: "They look nice."

カルア：「すごくいいよ。」

Ehime: "Are you doing to drop them off now?"

えひめ：「今から持っていくでしゅか？」

Mommy: "No. I go when Leo's & Sophie's mommy comes back home from work tonight."

ママ：「ううん。レオくんとソフィちゃんのママさんが、今夜お仕事から戻ってから。」

Mommy: "Oh, wow! Look. Nectarine flowers are now having leaves. That's quick, isn't it?"

ママ：「あ、見て！ネクタリンのお花、もう葉っぱが出てきてる。早いわね〜」

February heat 〜二月の暑さ〜

Walk No.1　お散歩第一弾

The highest temperature in Las Vegas today is 73F. People wear T-shirts and shorts for walking. It's still February, but we are getting a suntan now.

今日のラスベガスの最高気温は、約23℃。道行く人は、Tシャツやショーツで歩いています。まだ二月なのに、日焼けをしてきているような気がします。

Ehime: "Another beautiful morning, isn't it?"

えひめ：「今日もステキな朝でしゅね〜」

Ehime: "I wonder where Crystal is."

えひめ：「クリスタルちゃん、どこでしゅか〜」

Mommy: "She is not there today. Maybe staying in the sun is too warm for her."

ママ：「今日はクリスタルちゃん、いないね。陽の当たるところは、暑すぎるのかな。」

Kahlua: "When do they pick up those leaves, daddy?"

カルア：「パパ、この落ち葉、いつ片付けられるのかな？」

Daddy: "I'm not sure. But don't even think about bringing them back home, OK? Mommy is not going to be happy."

パパ：「さあね〜　あ、持って帰ろうなんて思ったらダメだよ。ママに怒られるから。」

Walk No.2　お散歩第二弾

Sophie: "Huh, I love this beautiful weather♥"

ソフィ：「はあ〜、この素晴らしいお天気、大好き♥」

Mommy: "It's a new training for you, Sophie. Don't move."

ママ：「ソフィちゃん、これは新しいトレーニングよ。動かないでね。」

Sophie: "Huh, I love the lamb biscuits you bring from home♥"

ソフィ：「はあ〜、ママさんがおうちから持ってきてくれるラム肉のビスケット、大好き♥」

Walk No.3　お散歩第三弾

Leo: "Where did my dry bananas go?"

レオ：「ぼくの干しバナナは？」

Mommy: "Your mommy wants to figure out where your allergy comes from. Until then, let's stick with your prescription dog food."

ママ：「レオくんのママさんがね、レオくんが何にアレルギーがあるか突き止めたいんだって。それまで、処方箋のドッグフードだけで頑張ろうね。」

Ehime: "Welcome back, mommy. Let's go for a walk♪"

えひめ：「ママ、おかえり〜　さあ、お散歩に行くでしゅよ♪」

Mommy: "Can't! Let me sit down for three min."

ママ：「ムリ！三分すわらせて。」

Walk No.4　お散歩第四弾

Ehime: "Sit in front of the house, OK, brother Kona?"

えひめ：「コナにい、おうちの前でおすわりでしゅよ。」

Kona: "OK."　コナ：「わかった。」

Mommy: "Did I teach that?"

ママ：「そんなの教えたかな？」

Kona: "How's your pollen allergy, mommy?"

コナ：「ママ、花粉症はどう？」

Mommy: "Better than morning now. Thanks for asking."

ママ：「朝よりはいいみたい。尋ねてくれてありがとう。」

Mommy: "Ahhh, it's really warm now. Daddy must be suffering from the heat in the computer room."

ママ：「ああ〜、暑いね〜　パパきっと、コンピューターのお部屋で暑がってるな〜」

Ehime: "I wonder what's for snack today. (lick)"

えひめ：「今日のおやつはなんでしゅかね〜（ぺろっ）」

Kona: "I saw mommy packed some dry bananas in her bag before we took off."

コナ：「お散歩の前にママが、バッグに干しバナナを詰めているのを見たよ。」

Ehime: "Sit in front of the mail box stand, OK, brother Kona?"

えひめ：「コナにい、郵便受けの前でおすわりでしゅよ。」

Kona: "OK."　コナ：「わかった。」

Mommy: "Did I teach that?"

ママ：「そんなの教えたかな？」

Last training of the day　一日の最終トレーニング

Mommy: "Sit!"　ママ：「おすわり！」

(sit)　（すわる）

Mommy: "Umm, you don't have to link arms with each other..."

ママ：「あの、お互いの腕は組まなくていいんだけど‥‥」

The life we can save and the life we cannot save 〜救える命と救えない命〜

When Sochi Olympics had started, one of my friends sent me a message and said "My husband cannot watch Olympics, because Russia killed many dogs for opening this."

ソチオリンピックが始まったとき、お友達のひとりがメッセージをくれました。「主人がオリンピックを見れないっていうの。ロシアがオリンピック開催のためにたくさんの犬を殺処分にしたからって。」

I did some research and got to know the truth. In the history of Russia, there were many people who couldn't keep their own dogs and cats, and had to let them go. And many puppies and kittens were born in the wild. 

リサーチをしてみて、真相を知りました。ロシアの歴史上、たくさんの人たちが犬やネコを飼えなくなり、捨てました。そしてたくさんの子犬や子猫が野生で生まれることになったのです。

President Putin ordered to kill them to open the Olympics in Sochi. Friendly ones were killed first, because they were easy to capture.

プーチン大統領は、ソチでのオリンピック開催のため、これらの動物たちを殺処分するように命じました。フレンドリーな動物たちが最初に処分されました。なぜなら、フレンドリーな動物たちは、捕まえるのが簡単だからです。

If they were born in USA or in Japan, could we save their lives? What's the difference between the life we can save and the life we cannot save?

もしこの動物たちがアメリカや日本で生まれていたら、命を救うことができたのでしょうか？救える命と救えない命の差は何なのでしょう？

This morning, I heard a piece of news from Golden Retriever Rescue Southern Nevada. They saved one cute Golden Retriever mix from a local shelter at the last hour! It was her day to die. GRRSN named her "Lamb" for her "gentle as a lamb".  She wished only a comfy bed. She can walk nicely on a leash, according to GRRSN.

今朝、ゴールデンレトリバーレスキューサザンネバダからニュースが届きました。地元のシェルターから、かわいいゴールデンレトリバーミックスの子を、最後の一時間！というときにレスキューしたそうです。この日は、この子の殺処分の日でした。GRRSNは、この子にラムちゃんという名前をつけたそうです。ラム（子羊）のようにやさしいからだそうです。ラムちゃんのたったひとつの願いは、心地よいベッドで眠ることです。リードでのお散歩も上手に歩くとのことでした。

Ehime: "There is already someone who wants to have her. I hope she gets her happiness with her new owner."

えひめ：「すでに、ラムちゃんを飼いたいという人が見つかったらちいでしゅよ。ラムちゃん、新しい飼い主しゃんと幸せになってくれるといいでしゅね。」

I received some sad news last week. My best friend from college lost her very precious dog, Robin. He was with her and her husband as a family for a long time. It looks like Robin accomplished his life, but every time I think of my best friend and the difficult time they are going through right now, my heart gets ache. Tonight, I would like to write a card for them with my husband.

先週悲しいお知らせを受けました。大学時代の私の親友が、とても大切に思っていた愛犬、ロビンくんを亡くしました。ロビンくんは、私の親友と旦那様の家族として、長い時間を一緒に過ごしたそうです。犬生を全うしたと思います。が、今、親友と旦那様がどんなにつらい時間を過ごしているだろうと思うと、とても胸が痛みます。今夜は、主人と一緒にお二人宛にカードを書こうと思います。

Kona: "Rest in peace, Robin."

コナ：「ロビンくん、安らかに眠ってね。」

PS: Tonight, I heard one of the silver-medalists, Gus Kenworthy from the USA is trying to bring 4-5 puppies home with him from Sochi. He is not only an Olympic medalist, but is also an animal rescue medalist!

PS：今夜、銀メダリストのガス・ケンワーシーが、ソチから4-5匹のパピーをアメリカに連れて帰ろうとしているという情報を聞きました。オリンピックのメダリストというだけでなく、アニマルレスキューのメダリストです！

Welcome, Leo & Sophie♪ 〜レオくんソフィちゃん、いらっしゃい♪〜

Mommy: "Leo, Sophie. We are going to my house after you finish eating breakfast, OK?"

ママ：「レオくん、ソフィちゃん。朝ごはんを食べ終わったら、私の家に行くからね。」

Sophie: "OK."

ソフィ：「はい。」

Daddy: "Don't eat my fingerer today, OK, Leo?"

パパ：「今日はぼくの指、食べないでね、レオくん。」

Leo: "I'll try not to."

レオ：「努力します。」

Ehime: "Leo sees only tennis ball."

えひめ：「レオくんは、テニスボールちか見てないでしゅからね〜」

Daddy: "Ready?"

パパ：「いくよ？」

Leo: "I'm ready!"

レオ：「行きます！」

Ehime: "Can I have a ball, Leo?"

えひめ：「レオくん、しょのボールくだしゃい。」

Leo: "Then, would you date with me?"

レオ：「じゃあ、ぼくとデートしてくれる？」

Ehime: "I have Jack."

えひめ：「ジャックくんがいましゅから。」

Sophie: "Kona's mommy? Kona decided to take a nap."

ソフィ：「コナくんのママさん？コナくんがね、お昼寝するって。」

Mommy: "Kona, I'll be happy if you exercise instead."

ママ：「コナくん、お昼寝じゃなくて運動してくれるとうれしいんだけど。」

Sophie: "Mmm? You smell great. What perfume are you using?"

ソフィ：「ん？えひめちゃん、いいにおいね。どこの香水を使ってるの？」

Ehime: "Of course Chanel. You can get it at Petsmart♪"

えひめ：「もちろんシャネルでしゅよ。ペットスマートっていうペットのお店に売ってましゅから♪」

Mommy: "What a beautiful senior group♪"

ママ：「あら、ステキなシニアグループね〜♪」

Sophie: "I'm still six years young."

ソフィ：「私はまだピチピチの６歳です。」

Mommy: "Did you have a good time, Leo, Sophie?"

ママ：「レオくん、ソフィちゃん、楽しかった？」

Sophie: "I did!"　ソフィ：「楽しかった！」

Leo: "I think I lost my weight."　レオ：「ぼく、体重が減ったような気がするよ。」

Ehime: "Are we still going for a walk after playing with Leo & Sophie?"

えひめ：「レオくんやソフィちゃんと遊んだあとも、お散歩に行くでしゅか？」

Mommy: "Kona cannot go bathroom while other dogs are there."

ママ：「他の犬たちがいると、コナくん、トイレができないからね。」

Lunch time　ランチタイム

Daddy: "Dog walk & training with large dogs is a very physical work. You should eat a lot, honey."

パパ：「大型犬のお散歩とトレーニングは、体を使う仕事だからね。ママ、しっかり食べてね。」

Mommy: "Thank you, darling."

ママ：「ありがと、パパ。」
