Mommy: "This balloon art is one of the largest one I've ever seen. The local balloon company did an amazing job for us. This is a perfect object for Downtown Block Party today."

Mommy: "I don't know if I would say 'play with them', but they attract people's attention for sure."

Pork sausage & mango salsa 〜ポークソーセージ＆マンゴーサルサ〜

Mommy: "Downtown Block Party today. We are going to have a hotdog & beer table in front of our business as our special today. A huge 100% pork sausasge and house-made mango salsa are so attractive♪"

ママ：「今日は、ダウンタウンブロックパーティ。今日のスペシャルとして、うちのお店の前で、ホットドッグ＆ビールのテーブルを出すのよ。100％のポークソーセージとマンゴーサルサが、とっても魅力的なのよね♪」

Makana: "I think I can eat pork and mango."

マカナ：「ぼく、ポークもマンゴーも食べられると思うな。」

Mommy: "You can. But mango salsa contains onions."

ママ：「うん。でも、マンゴーサルサには、玉ねぎも入ってるから。」

Makana: "You can get rid of them for me, can't you?"

マカナ：「ぼくのために、取り除いてくれる？」

Mommy: "What!?"

ママ：「えっ！？」

Feeling close 〜近くに感じて〜

Mommy: "I thought these rose plants were dying, but they came back to life. I guess they needed a little attention. It's like raising children."

ママ：「このバラの花の木たち、枯れてしまってるのかなあって思ってたけど、生き返った。ちょっと気を配ってもらいたかったのね。子育てみたいなものね。」

Makana: "I wish you are paying more attention to me, too. I'll be an even better child."

マカナ：「ぼくにももっと気を配ってくれればいいのに。ぼく、もっといい子になるよ。」

Mommy: "'More attention' means physical connection all day in your case, doesn't it?"

ママ：「”もっと気を配る”っていうのは、マーくんの場合、一日中ピタッとくっついてること？」

Makana: "That works with me❤︎"

マカナ：「ま、そういうこと❤︎」

Mommy: "It looks like Kali is having a hard time being there by herself. She won't come out from the chicken coop. But I saw she was drinking the water and pecking a mini tomato today. I hope she feels better."

ママ：「カリちゃん、ひとりでいることがつらいみたい。にわとり小屋から出てこないの。でも今日、お水を飲んでミニトマトをひとつツンツンしてるのを見たよ。気持ちが回復してくれるといいね。」

Makana: "Shall I lend my toy to her?"

マカナ：「ぼくのおもちゃ、貸してあげようか？」

Sachi: "She can have a little pieace of motzarella cheese."

さち：「わたちのモッツァレラチーズ、ちょこっと食べてもいいでしゅよ。」

Mommy: "Thank you, guys."

ママ：「ふたりとも、ありがとね。」

After work 〜仕事のあと〜

 

Mommy: "Daddy cleaned the beer tanks while I was restocking the wine shelves. Our day off didn't turn out to be an actual day off, but we are happy that we got things done."

ママ：「ママがワイン棚を補充しているあいだ、パパがビールタンクの掃除をしたの。ママたちの休日は休日にはならなかったけれど、仕事を片付けられたのはよかったわ。」

Makana: "Sachi & I were not happy. You & daddy came back home late. That means that our dinner time was late."

マカナ：「さっちゃんとぼくは、よくなかった。パパとママの帰りが遅かったから、ぼくたちの晩ごはんの時間、遅れたんだよ。」

Mommy: "Umm... You are right. I'm sorry. What about a little play now?"

ママ：「あの‥‥ だよね。ごめんね。今、ちょっと遊ぶ？」

Fuku 〜フク〜

 

We just burried Fuku, the hen. When I went to the chicken coop this morning, she was the place near the food and the water, where I relocated her yesterday. She probably passed away soon after I said good-bye. She was one happy and easy-going hen. Missing her. 

雌鶏のフクの埋葬をしてきました。今朝にわとり小屋に行くと、私が昨日フクを置いたフードとお水の近くの場所にいました。多分、私がさよならを言ってすぐ、亡くなったのでしょうね。ハッピーでのん気な雌鶏でした。フクに会いたいな。

Sleep well, Fuku.

よく眠ってね、フク。

Mommy: "Fuku is getting the last moment of her life. I just put her favorite green salad in front of her, and moved her near the water, since she cannot stand up and move anymore. Cali is getting her energy, and doesn't want to get out from the coop. I just hope Fuku feels peace in her heart."

ママ：「フクちゃんが、人生最後の瞬間を迎えている。もう立ち上がることができないから、フクちゃんをお水の近くに動かして、大好きなグリーンサラダを目の前に置いたの。カリちゃんはそのエネルギーを感じて、小屋から出てこない。フクちゃん、心に平和を感じてくれるといいな。」

Makana: "I hope mommy feels peace in your heart, too."

マカナ：「ママも心に平和を感じてくれるといいな。」

Mommy: "Thank you. You are also the one who easily gets energy from others."

ママ：「ありがと。マーくんも、他のひとからエネルギーを感じやすい子だったね。」

Shower 〜シャワー〜

Mommy: "I don't know why it took this long time to come up with this idea, but I washed Makana & Sachi at the different location this morning. It is in the shade here, and there is the steady table where I can keep the dry towels and support myself."

ママ：「このアイディアを思いつくまでに、どうしてこんなに長い時間がかかったのかわからないんだけど、今朝、いつもとはちがう場所でマカナとさちを洗ったのよね。ここは陰だし、きれいなタオルを置いたり自分を支えたりするためのしっかりしたテーブルがあるし。」

Mommy: "And the controler that is attached to this hose was very convenient to control the water for dogs with a thum. Sometimes we are just stucked in one idea, and we never think that there is actually a better idea. I bet our business is the same."

ママ：「それに、ここのホースについたコントローラー、親指ひとつで犬洗いのお水をコントロールするのがとっても便利。ときどき、私たちはひとつのアイディアにとらわれて、実は他にいいアイディアがあるとということを考えないのよね。きっと、私たちのビジネスも同じなんだろうね。」

Makana: "I don't know about business, but I'm glad the washing time was a shorter than usual."

マカナ：「ビジネスのことはわからないけど、いつもより洗われる時間が短かったのはよかったよ。」

Mommy: "Oh, you are in the bedroom."

ママ：「あら。さっちゃん、ベッドルームにいたの？」

Sachi: "Yes. It's my routine to come to the bedroom after getting back home from the backyard in the morning."

さち：「しょうでしゅよ。朝、裏庭から帰ってきたら、ベッドルームに来るのはわたちのルーティンでしゅから。」
