Bow-Wow Thursday at the winery 〜ワイナリーのバウワウ・サーズデー〜

Makana: "You came to our Bow-Wow Thursday for the first time? I'm Makana. What's your name?"

マカナ：「初めてうちのバウワウ・サーズデーに来たの？　ぼくは、マカナ。きみの名前は？」

Scout: "I'm Scout. I'm 12 years old."

スカウトくん：「スカウトだよ。12歳なんだ。」

Ehime: "(sniffing) Oh, you are a boy."

えひめ：「（クンクン）男の子でしゅね。」

Makana: "I'm just one year old. I have a lot of energy. Can you play with me?"

マカナ：「ぼくは、1歳。エネルギーがいっぱいあるんだ。遊んでくれる？」

Scout: "Oh, my. You are still a puppy."

スカウトくん：「ああ。まだパピーくんか。」

Ehime: "Scout's mommy is going to play with me♪"

えひめ：「スカウトくんのママしゃんは、わたちと遊ぶの♪」

Scout's mommy: "Umm... Ehime. You are stepping on my foot."

スカウトくんのママさん：「あの‥‥　えひめちゃん。私の足、踏んでるんだけど。」

Birdie: "How could you take me to Bow-Wow Thursday? I like humans better than dogs!"

バーディちゃん：「なんで私をバウワウ・サーズデーに連れて来たのよ〜　私、犬より人間の方が好きなのに！」

Birdie's daddy: "Well, there are some humans here, too."

バーディちゃんのパパさん：「いや、人間だっているから。」

Ari: "I'm a regular here♪"

アリちゃん：「私、ここの常連さんなの♪」

Ari's mommy: "That's right. We come here every Thursday."

アリちゃんのママさん：「そうね。毎週木曜日、ここに来るものね。」

Makana: "I'm gook at hugging & kissing, Ari's mommy."

マカナ：「アリちゃんのママさん。ぼく、ハグとチュッチュが得意なの。」

Ehime: "Ari's mommy. I'm good at jumping on you. Let me show you."

えひめ：「アリちゃんのママしゃん。わたちは、ジャンプしゅるのが得意なんでしゅよ。見せてあげましゅからね。」

Ari's mommy: "Oh, my. I get busy every time we come to Bow-Wow Thursday."

アリちゃんのママさん：「なんか、バウワウ・サーズデーに来ると忙しいわ、私。」

Makana's personality 〜マカナの個性〜

Makana: "He he. I've been a little lazy."

マカナ：「へへ〜　ちょっとぐうたら〜」

Mommy: "Haha. What a good life you are having."

マカナ：「はは。なかなかいい犬生送ってるわね。」

Mommy: "You were so being needed by us when you came to our house in 2019, Ma-kun. Of course, now, too. You are cheerful, respectful for other dogs, and not stubborn at all."

ママ：「マーくんが2019年に我が家にやって来たとき、本当に必要とされてたのよ。もちろん今もだけどね。マーくんは陽気で、他に犬たちのことを尊重して、 ガンコなところがまったくなくて。」

Mommy: "You are different from Kona, Kahlua and Hailey, but you are like a dog who has all three in one."

ママ：「マーくんは、コナくんやカルアくん、ヘイリーちゃんとちがうけれど、三頭がひとつになったような犬よね。」

Makana: "Am I?"

マカナ：「そう？」 

Mommy: "Yes, you are. You need a lot of attention, and are very jealous. But that's your personality, and I don't hate it."

ママ：「そうよ。マーくんはとっても手がかかる子で、本当にヤキモチ焼きで。でもそれがマーくんの個性だから、ママ、嫌いじゃないわよ。」

Makana: "Are you giving me a compliment or what?"

マカナ：「褒めてるの？　それともなに？」

Mommy: "Well, I just want to say that Ehime, daddy and I are enjoying having you close to us."

ママ：「まあ、言いたいのは、ひめたんもパパとママも、マーくんが近くにいてくれることを楽しんでるってことよ。」

Makana: "Wow, that's moving."

マカナ：「わあ、それ、感動。」

Makana: "Then, I'll get closer."

マカナ：「では、もっとお近くに。」

Mommy: "How close do you want?"

ママ：「どんだけ近くなのよ。」

Donation to the local humane society 〜地元の動物愛護協会への寄付〜

Mommy: "Today, I'm going to take photos of wine bottle lights. All sales from this wine bottle lights are going to be donated to the local humane society to help animals. Can you cooperate to be in the photo?"

ママ：「今日は、ワインボトルライトの写真を撮るわね。このワインボトルライトの売上金は全額、動物たちを助けるために、地元の動物愛護協会にするからね。写真に入って協力してくれる？」

Makana: "I guess."

マカナ：「まあ、いいけど。」

Makana: "Sister, wake up. We are going to donate bottle lights, mommy said."

マカナ：「ねえたん、起きて。ボトルライトを寄付するってママが言ってる。」

Mommy: "Not the bottle lights. The sales from the bottle lights."

ママ：「ボトルライトじゃなくて、ボトルライトの売上金。」

Mommy: "One two... three. (click) Mmm... It looks like Ma-kun is glaring at the camera."

ママ：「いち、にーの‥‥　さん。（カシャッ）うーん‥‥　なんかマーくん、カメラをにらんでるように見えるのよね。」

Makana: "I'm not."

マカナ：「にらんでないもん。」

Ehime: "Why don't you sit on the other side of me, Ma-kun?"

えひめ：「マーくん、わたちのこっち側に座ってみたらどうでしゅか？」

Makana: "Like this?"

マカナ：「こう？」

Mommy: "That's better. Well, Let me take another photo vertically. It shows better that way on Instagram."

ママ：「さっきよりいいわね。えっと、縦向きでもう一枚撮らせて。インスタグラムでは、その方がきれいに見えるから。」

Makana: "I did my best, but this never ends!"

マカナ：「ぼくがんばったのに、全然終わらないじゃないか！」

Ehime: "Ahhh! It's not my fault!"

えひめ：「あああ！　わたちのせいじゃないでしゅよっ！」

Mommy: "OK, OK! I'll give you the salmon treats when we finish."

ママ：「わかった、わかった！　終わったら、サーモンのおやつをあげるから。」

Mommy: "Say, cheese. Oh, This looks great. The sun is going down, so it even brings the nice orange color. I love it❤︎"

ママ：「はい、チーズ。あら、これ、ステキ。太陽が沈んでいくところだから、いいオレンジ色も入っちゃった。気に入った❤︎」

Ehime: "It looks like we are finishing."

えひめ：「終わりみたいでしゅね。」

Makana: "Phew, finally."

マカナ：「ふう、やっとだ。」

ママ：「有名なワインの雑誌に送る写真を撮るわね。ワイナリードッグの写真を集めてるんだって。あっ、ひめたん。目を閉じちゃった。もう一回ね。」

Ehime: "......"

えひめ：「‥‥」

Makana: "......"

マカナ：「‥‥」

Mommy: "Oh! Now Ma-kun closed his eyes. Hmmm.... Let's take a cheerful photo next."

ママ：「あっ！　今度は、マーくんが目を閉じちゃった。うーん‥‥　今度は、陽気な写真を撮ってみようか。」

Ehime: "......"

えひめ：「‥‥」

Makana: "I can do that."

マカナ：「それならできる。」

Makana: "Yay, yaaaaaay!!!"

マカナ：「イエイ、イエーーーーイ！！！！」

Mommy: "Ahhhh! You are covering up Ehime!!! Please come this way, Ehime."

ママ：「ああああ！　ひめたんとかぶってる！！！　ひめたん、こっちに来て。」

Ehime: "OK."

えひめ：「あーい。」

Mommy: "Ahhh, that's too close!!!"

ママ：「あああ、近すぎ！！！」

Ehime: "I'm tired now."

えひめ：「わたち、もう疲れた。」

Makana: "Are you OK, sister?"

マカナ：「ねえたん、大丈夫？」

Mommy: "Awww.... I'm sorry..."

ママ：「あうう‥‥　ごめん‥‥」

At the forest where the fresh green hasn't grown much 〜あまり新しい草が育っていない林で〜

 

Sunny: "Umm... We finished eating the treat."

サニー：「あの‥‥　おやつ食べ終わった〜」

Serene: "Are we getting any hay next?"

セリーン：「次は干し草？」

Mommy: "What? Didn't daddy give you the hay earlier this morning?"

ママ：「えっ？　今朝早く、パパに干し草もらわなかった？」

Happy: "I don't remember."

ハッピー：「覚えてないわねえ。」

Mommy: "I'm going to fill your water now. I guess you drink a lot of water when the weather is good."

ママ：「お水、いっぱいにしておくわね。お天気がいいと、みんなお水をたくさん飲むと思うから。」

Mommy: "There is not much green growing in the forest this year because of a lack of rain. But cows are probably enjoying what they have."

ママ：「今年は雨不足だから、林にあんまり草が育ってないわ。でも牛たちはきっと、今あるものを楽しく食べてるのね。」

Happy: "Yes. But we welcome the hay, too♪"

ハッピー：「そうねえ。でも干し草もウェルカムよ〜♪」

Makana: "A lack of rain... We had a big storm at the end of January, but we haven't seen the rain much after that."

マカナ：「雨不足か‥‥　一月の終わりに大きな嵐がやってきたけど、そのあとは、あんまり雨を見てないな。」

Mommy: "That's right. Well, what do you have in your mouth, Ma-kun?"

ママ：「そうね。って、マーくん。お口になにをくわえてるの？」

Makana: "Oh, this? Doesn't it look cool? I have tobacco in my mouth. My sister told me how to do it."

マカナ：「ああ、これ？　かっこよくない？　お口にタバコをくわえてるの。ねえたんに、やり方を教えてもらったの。」

Mommy: "Oh, that means that you are holding a bone in the mouth."

ママ：「ああ、お口にカミカミをくわえてるってことね。」

Ehime: "No, that's tobacco."

えひめ：「ちがいましゅよ。タバコでしゅから。」

マカナ：「ありがと♪」

Makana: "I love to get affection like this❤︎"

マカナ：「ぼく、こうやって愛情をもらうの、だーい好き❤︎」

Mommy: "Then, why don't you give affection to Ehime? I think she will love it."

ママ：「じゃあ、ひめたんにも愛情をあげたら？　きっと、ひめたんも大好きだと思うよ。」

Makana: "OK."

マカナ：「はーい。」

Makana: "Then, I'll sniff your butt."

マカナ：「じゃあ、ねえたんのおしりをクンクンします。」

Mommy: "What!? I think she will like to get a lick on her head better."

ママ：「えっ！？　ひめたんは、頭をなめてもらう方が好きだと思うよ。」

A thoughtful dog 〜思いやりのある犬〜

Makana: "Daddy, I'm going to give you chu-chu❤︎"

マカナ：「パパ。チュッチュしてあげるね❤︎」

Daddy: "Thank you. Well, my back is a little tired from leaning down."

パパ：「ありがと。えっと、腰をかがめてたら、ちょっと疲れてきちゃった。」

Makana: "No problem. I can stand up like this, so you don't need to lean down. Nothing can be a problem in between us♪"

マカナ：「大丈夫。ぼくがこうやって立てるから、パパは腰をかがめる必要はないよ。ぼくたちの間では、問題になるものはなにもないからね♪」

Daddy: "How thoughtful of you. Chu♪"

パパ：「マカナは、思いやりのある子だなあ。チュッ♪」

Mommy: "This is one scene from California country-living in winter."

ママ：「これは、冬のカリフォルニア・カントリーリビングのワンシーン。」

Mommy: "And I found you hiding at the lemon tree, U-chan♪"

ママ：「そして、レモンの木のところで隠れてるうーちゃん、みーつけた♪」

U-chan: "Ahhhh! Please don't stare at me! I'm shy."

うーちゃん：「ああああ！　私のこと、見つめないで！　私、シャイなんだから。」

Makana: "Oh, that's the game called 'hide-and-seek', isn't it?"

マカナ：「おお。それって、”かくれんぼ”っていう遊びだよね？」

Mommy: "That's right."

ママ：「そうよ。」

Makana: "I prefer being chased to hide-and-seek! Dash!!!"

マカナ：「ぼくは、かくれんぼより、追いかけられる方がいい！　ダッシュ！！！」

Mommy: "Oh, playing tag."

ママ：「ああ、追いかけっこね。」

Ehime: "I prefer taking a nap on the couch peacefully. Can you open the door now?"

えひめ：「わたちは、ゆっくりソファーでお昼寝しゅるのが好き。ドア、開けてくれる？」

Mommy: "What a Las Vegasian."

ママ：「なんてラスベガスっ子。」
