Let's get going to Las Vegas! Part 7 〜いざ、ラスベガスへ！パート７〜

My husband and I went to the dentist for cleaning after we dropped off Goldens at the grooming salon. As you probably know, I'm super scared of the dentist, which means that I'm not the best patient for them.

ゴールデンズをグルーマーさんのサロンに送って行ったあと、主人と私は、歯のクリーニングのために歯医者さんに行きました。多分もうご存知だと思いますが、私は歯医者さんをものすごく怖いと思っています。そしてそれは、歯医者さんにとっても私が最良の患者だとは言えません。

Since my husband's hygienist called in sick, my hygienist cleaned my husband's teeth as well. My husband is super easy person at the dentist. I think He can probably fall asleep while he is getting a cleaning on his teeth. I'm pretty sure my hygienist thought "Oh, yay! I finally got an angel!"  

主人の歯科衛生士さんが病気でお休みだったので、私の歯科衛生士さんが、主人の歯のクリーニングも行いました。歯医者さんでは、主人はものすごく扱いやすい人です。私が思うに、多分歯のクリーニンをしてもらいながら、眠れる人ではないでしょうか。きっと私の歯科衛生士さんは、「ようやく天使がやって来た！」と思ったことでしょうね。

At the groomer's salon　グルーマーさんのサロンで

Daddy: "Let's pick up Kona & Ehime."

パパ：「コナとえひめのお迎えに行こう。」

Ehime: "Oh, mommy & daddy. Welcome back♪"

えひめ：「あ、パパとママ。おかえり♪」

Kona: "Please get me out from the jail!!!"

コナ：「ぼくを牢屋から出して〜〜〜！！！」

Daddy: "Both of you look nice."

パパ：「二人とも、きれいだなあ。」

Kona: "I'm not going back there anytime soon."

コナ：「ぼく、あそこにはしばらく戻らないからね。」

Ehime: "I ate biscuits at the beauty salon. They were delicious♪"

えひめ：「わたち、ビューティーサロンでビスケットを食べたでしゅよ。おいちかった♪」

Kona: "They were delicious, but I prefer to eat biscuits at home."

コナ：「おいしかったけど、ぼくは、おうちでビスケットを食べる方がいい。」

Daddy: "Let's go see Chloe's & Henry's family one last time before we get on the road."

パパ：「帰路につく前に、もう一度クロエちゃん＆ヘンリーくんご家族に会いに行こう。」

Chloe: "Oh, are you going back home? I'm going to miss you."

クロエちゃん：「あら、もうおうちに帰るの？寂しくなるわ〜」

Henry: "See you next time."

ヘンリー：「じゃあ、また今度。」

On the road　道中

Mommy: "Is that the California inspection?"

ママ：「あれ、カリフォルニアのインスペクション？」

Daddy: "Yes. They changed the location."

パパ：「うん。場所を変えたんだ。」

Kona: "Ehime. Can I use your tail as a pillow?"

コナ：「ひめたん。枕がわりに、ひめたんの尻尾を貸してくれる？」

Ehime: "Sure. I'll use yours later."

えひめ：「いいでしゅよ。わたちは後で、にいたまの尻尾を借りましゅから。」

Daddy: "Oh, no... We are in the big traffic now. We are only moving 2/mph."

パパ：「これは大変だなあ‥‥　すごい渋滞だ。時速２マイルでしか動かない。」

Mommy: "We just passed the previous traffic!"

ママ：「やっと前の渋滞を抜け出たのに！」

Ehime: "Are we going to eat dinner somewhere?"

えひめ：「わたちたち、どこかで晩ごはんを食べるでしゅか？」

Kona: "I'm getting hungry."

コナ：「ぼく、おなかすいてきた。」

Daddy: "Huh, it's already dark. Let's get the gas in the car and feed dogs. We humans need to get dinner somewhere."

パパ：「はあ、もう真っ暗だな。車にガソリンを入れて、犬たちにごはんをあげよう。ぼくたち人間も、どこかで晩ごはんを買わなきゃ。」

Mommy: "I wonder how long it takes to get back home."

ママ：「おうちに帰るまで、どれくらいの時間がかかるかしら。」

Let's get going to Las Vegas! Part 6 〜いざ、ラスベガスへ！パート６〜

Ehime: "Where are we going this early morning?"

えひめ：「こんな朝早く、どこに行くでしゅか？」

Kona: "I thought we are going back to our vineyard house in California, but I don't see any suitcases in the car."

コナ：「カリフォルニアのぶどう園の家に戻ると思ったけれど、車の中にスーツケースはないしね〜」

Daddy: "Just enjoy the ride."

パパ：「ドライブを楽しんでいればいいんだ。」

Mommy: "I used to love the brown mountains in Las Vegas. I never thought the brown mountains are this much beautiful until we moved to Las Vegas in 2010."

ママ：「ラスベガスの茶色い山々、大好きだったのよね。2010年にラスベガスにお引越しして来るまで、茶色い山々がこんなにきれいだとは思わなかった。」

25 minutes later　25分後

Daddy: "Here we are."

パパ：「さあ、到着したぞ。」

Mommy: "You two are going to the beauty salon this morning♪"

ママ：「ふたりとも、今日はビューティーサロンに行くのよ♪」

Kona: "!?"

コナ：「！？」

Kona: "Umm...  I kind of have an errand to do this morning. Please take just Ehime to the beauty salon."

コナ：「あの‥‥　ぼく、今朝はちょっと用事というか、そういうのがあるので。ビューティサロンへは、ひめたんだけ連れて行って。」

Mommy: "Please get out from the car, Kona!"

ママ：「コナくん、車から降りて！」

Daddy: "Let's go, Kona."

パパ：「コナ、さあ、行くぞ。」

Kona: "No!"

コナ：「やだっ！」

Ehime: "Brother Kona, don't worry. I'll be with you."

えひめ：「コナにい、心配ちないで。わたちがついてましゅから。」

Kona: "Ahhhhhhh!!!!"

コナ：「ああああああ！！！！」

Daddy: "Good boy, Kona."

パパ：「いい子だ、コナ。」

Ehime: "Good job, brother Kona!"

えひめ：「コナにい、えらい！」

Groomer: "I'm going to make sure that they eat the biscuits you brought."

グルーマーさん：「持って来てくれたビスケット、ちゃんと食べさせますね。」

Ehime: "Biscuits, brother♪"

えひめ：「コナにい、ビスケットでしゅよ♪」

Kona: "I'd rather go with mommy and daddy."

コナ：「ぼくはむしろ、パパやママと一緒に行きたいよ。」

A little break from a trip story 〜旅のお話しから中休み〜

Daddy: "Go, Hana! Run!"

パパ：「行けー、ハナ！走れ！」

Hana: "Kyaaaaaa! Why is Daddy so strict today?"

ハナ：「きゃあああああ！どうしてパパは今日、そんなに厳しいの〜？」

Mommy: "I'm glad both my husband and horse run and do exercise together♪"

ママ：「よかったわ〜、うちのパパと馬が一緒に走って運動してくれて♪」

Kona: "Good to be young. I, as a senior Golden Retriever, will lay down on the couch and take a nap today."

コナ：「若いっていいよね〜　シニアのゴールデンレトリバーのぼくは、今日はソファーに寝っ転がって、お昼寝することにするよ。」

Let's get going to Las Vegas! Part 5 〜いざ、ラスベガスへ！パート５〜

Mommy: "Are you OK, Kona?"

ママ：「コナくん、大丈夫？」

Kona: "Yes. I'll stay here."

コナ：「ぼくは、ここにいるから。」

Chloe: "He is a little scared of Henry."

クロエちゃん：「コナはね、ヘンリーのことがちょっと怖いのよ。」

Chloe's & Henry's mommy: "You are good here, right, Henry?"

クロエ＆ヘンリーのママさん：「ヘンリーは、ここでいい子にしてるでしょ？」

Henry: "I am. I just don't know what to do with Kona."

ヘンリー：「してるよ。ただ、コナとどう付き合っていいかわからないんだ。」

Ehime: "It's hard being a guy. You two should eat a turkey together, and become good friends."

えひめ：「男って大変でしゅよね〜　ふたりで一緒にターキーを食べて、いいお友達になればいいのに。」

Mommy: "Don't break their turkey toy, Ehime."

ママ：「ひめたん、そのターキーのおもちゃ、壊さないでよ。」

Chloe's & Henry's mommy: "Hmm... it's windy & cloudy. Lunar eclipse should happen soon. I wonder if we can see."

クロエ＆ヘンリーくんのママさん：「うーん‥‥　風が吹いてるし雲が出てるわ。月食がもすぐ始まるのに。見れるかしら。」

There is a Japanese restaurant four of us really love. It's called Sen of Japan. An executive chef is a very skillful Japanese chef, and they serve authentic Japanese food. As the last meal together, we decided to go to that restaurant again.

私たち4人が大好きな日本食レストランがあります。セン・オブ・ジャパンと言います。エグゼクティブシェフは高い技術を持った日本人シェフで、本物の日本食を作ってくれます。私たちは一緒に食べる最後の食事に、またそのレストランに行くことにしました。

Chloe's & Henry's daddy: "Shrimp tempura is not curled."

クロエ＆ヘンリーのパパさん：「えびの天ぷら、丸まってないよ。」

Chloe's & Henry's mommy: "I wonder how they do that."

クロエ＆ヘンリーのママさん：「どうやったらこうなるのかしら。」

Mommy: "Mmm! Salmon melts in my mouth♪"

ママ：「んん！サーモンが、お口の中でとろける〜♪」

Chloe's & Henry's daddy: "Every time we order something, it will be gone quickly."

クロエ＆ヘンリーのパパさん：「頼んでも頼んでも、すぐ無くなるなあ。」

Daddy: "Women are hungry."

パパ：「女性軍が、おなかをすかせてますから。」

Chloe's & Henry's mommy: "What a good looking ahi sushi!"

クロエ＆ヘンリーのママさん：「なんて格好のいいマグロのお寿司！」

Daddy: "You should take a photo, honey."

パパ：「ママ、写真を撮らなきゃ。」

Mommy: "Oh, no! My iPhone is full of data, and it doesn't allow me to take a photo! I need a camera."

ママ：「あら、大変！iPhoneのデーターがいっぱいで、写真を撮らせてくれない！カメラ、カメラ。」 

Chloe's & Henry's daddy: "This beef is delicious♪"

クロエ＆ヘンリーのパパさん：「このビーフ、おいしい〜♪」

Daddy: "We should come back here again."

パパ：「またここに来ましょうね。」

Chloe's & Henry's mommy: "Look! We can see Lunar eclipse now!"

クロエ＆ヘンリーのママさん：「見て！月食が見える！」

Mommy: "Oh, yeah! That's beautiful♪"

ママ：「あら、ホント！きれいですね〜♪」

Let's get going to Las Vegas! Part 4 〜いざ、ラスベガスへ！パート４〜

Seeing Chloe's & Henry's family again was very nice. They didn't say a word about Kahlua, but they just welcomed us in their beautiful home. 

クロエちゃん＆ヘンリーくんご家族にまた会えて、とても良かったです。カルアに関しては一言もおっしゃいませんでしたが、ご家族のステキなおうちに、私たちを歓迎してくれました。

I went in the house and looked at the living room area where Kahlua passed away last Thanksgiving day. It choked me, but I was able to push the sad feelings back this time.

私は家の中に入り、昨年のサンクスギビングデーにカルアが亡くなったリビングルームを見ました。私は首が締まるような思いになりましたが、今回は、その悲しい思いを押し戻すことができました。

Sunday　日曜日

Daddy: "I now remember the winter in Las Vegas is very cold."

パパ：「今更ながら、ラスベガスの冬はとても寒いってことを思い出すよ。」

Chloe's & Henry's mommy: "I heard it's going to be very windy tonight. I wonder if we can see the Lunar eclipse."

クロエ＆ヘンリーのママさん：「今夜はとても風が強くなるんですって。月食、見れるかしら。」

Chloe: "Why is Kona's mommy taking so many photos of us?"

クロエちゃん：「コナのママさん、どうして私たちの写真をたくさん撮ってるの？」

Chloe's & Henry's mommy: "Because she wants to write her blog with our photos."

クロエ＆ヘンリーのママさん：「写真と一緒に載せてブログを書きたいからよ。」

Ehime: "You are supposed to smile to the camera."

えひめ：「カメラに、ニコッとちなきゃいけないんでしゅよ。」

Kona: "I usually don't do that."

コナ：「ぼくは、たいていニコッとしないけどね。」

Henry: "Daddy, should we do something to the camera?"

ヘンリーくん：「パパ。ぼくたちもカメラに向かって何かした方がいいかな？」

Chloe's & Henry's daddy: "You don't have to do anything. Being natural is the best."

クロエ＆ヘンリーのパパさん：「何もしなくていいんだよ。自然なままが一番だ。」

Chloe: "I wonder what kind of story she is going to write on her blog."

クロエちゃん：「ブログでは、どんなお話しになるのかしら。」

Ehime: "I'm not sure. Mommy has been writing her blog over six years. She still laughs while writing the blog." 

えひめ：「どうでしゅかね〜　ママは、ブログを書いてもう6年以上になりましゅけど、いまだにブログを書きながら笑ってましゅから。」

Kona: "Laughter is the key to happiness, right?"

コナ：「笑う門には福来る、だね。」

At home　おうち

Mommy: "OK, guys. I'm going to get my hair done."

ママ：「じゃあ、みんな。私は、髪の毛をきれいにしてもらいに行ってくるね〜」

Kona: "Oh, at the salon you always go?"

コナ：「ああ、いつも行くヘアサロンで？」

Ehime: "Do you need your hair cut, mommy?"

えひめ：「ママ。ヘアカット、必要？」

Chloe: "The important thing is not about hair cut, Ehime. It's about becoming a woman again, right, Kona's mommy?"

クロエちゃん：「えひめちゃん、大切なのは、ヘアカットじゃないのよ。また女性に戻るってことなのよ、ねえ、コナママさん？」

Mommy: "Umm.... yes.... I feel complicated when someone else tells me about becoming a woman again..."

ママ：「あの‥‥　うん‥‥　女性に戻るって他のひとに言われると、なんだか複雑な気持ちになるわね。」

Henry: "Good luck on becoming a woman. I'm going to take a nap here..."

ヘンリー：「女性になるの、ガンバってね。ぼくは、ここでお昼寝するから‥‥」

Mommy: "It sounds like I'm not a woman now. See you later, everyone."

ママ：「なんだか今は、女性じゃないみたいに聞こえるわね。じゃあ、みんな、またあとでね。」

Hair dresser: "It's done."

ヘアドレッサーさん：「できましたよ。」

Mommy: "Wow, it looks great. Thank you so much for making me feel like a woman again♪"

ママ：「わあ、ステキ〜　また女性だと感じさせてくれて、どうもありがとう♪」
