Too warm to work very hard 〜暑すぎてあまり働く気がしない〜

 

Mommy: "Oh, my. I guess it's too warm to work very hard even for hens."

ママ：「あら、まあ。にわとりさんたちにとっても暑すぎるから、あんまり働く気がしないみたいね。」

Sachi: "I understand. I was born in Idaho. The heat in the summer time is not my favorite."

さち：「わかる〜　わたちは、アイダホ生まれでしゅから。夏場の暑さは、あんまり好きじゃないんでしゅよね。」

Mommy: "Watch out, Sachi. You are going to drop the ball again."

ママ：「気をつけて、さっちゃん。またボール落としちゃうよ。」

Sachi: "Ooops."

さち：「あっ。」

Mommy: "I told you."

ママ：「やっぱりね。」

Mid State Fair 2023 〜ミッドステイトフェア2023年〜

Mommy: "Mid State Fair last night was so much fun! We started from seeing backyard animal races."

ママ：「昨夜のミッドステイトフェア、本当におもしろかったわね〜　バックヤードアニマルのレースを見ることから始めたのよね。」

Daddy: "We were Team Orange. The goat in Team Orange won the race."

パパ：「ぼくたちは、チームオレンジだったんだ。チームオレンジのやぎがレースに勝ったんだよ。」

Mommy: "That's right."

ママ：「そうだったわね。」

Mommy: "Then, we went to see the concert of Iam Tongi, the American Idol winner. His Hawaiian songs reminded me of our Hawaii life. I got a little emotional."

ママ：「それから、アメリカンアイドルの勝者、イアム・トンギのコンサートを見に行ったのよね。彼のハワイアンの歌を聞いて、なんか私たちのハワイでの生活を思い出しちゃって、ちょっと感傷的になっちゃった。」

Daddy: "You should check the video I took at the concert. You'll like it."

パパ：「ぼくがコンサートで撮ったビデオを、チェックしてみて。きっと気に入るよ。」

Mommy: The cow-showing that we went after the concert was wonderful. Both 4H kids and cows did an amazing job."

ママ：「コンサートの後に行った牛の審査のショーは、素晴らしかったわ。4Hの子たちも牛たちも、よくがんばってたわね〜」

Daddy: "Kula should buy a cow."

パパ：「クラで牛を買うべきだな。」

Mommy: "We already have two cows, darling."

ママ：「もう２頭いるけどね、パパ。」

Sachi: "Yay, yaaaay! I won the Golden Retriever race!"

さち：「イエイ、イエーイ！　わたちが、ゴールデンレトリバーレースの勝者でしゅよ！」

Makana: "You are the only one running in the race."

マカナ：「レースで走ってるのは、さっちゃんだけだけどね。」

マカナ：「またぼくの心をママの愛情で補充しなきゃ、なの。」

Mommy: "Oh, my. You are close."

ママ：「あらマーくん、近いね〜」

Sachi: "I'm here, too."

さち：「わたちもいましゅよ。」

Mommy: "You are close, too."

ママ：「さっちゃんも近い。」

Sachi: "We both need your affection."

さち：「わたちたち、ふたりともママの愛情が必要でしゅから。」

Makana: "Sachi is just copying me."

マカナ：「さっちゃんは、ぼくのマネしてるだけなの。」

Sachi: "No! I really need affection."

さち：「ちがう！　本当に愛情が必要なんでしゅよ。」

Makana: "I'm a big brother. I'll get affection first."

マカナ：「ぼくはお兄ちゃんだから、先に愛情をもらうの。」

Sachi: "No! (bite)"

さち：「ダメッ！（カプッ）」

Sachi: "I'm the first one to get affection!"

さち：「わたちが先に愛情をもらうっ！」

Makana: "Ahhhh!!!"

マカナ：「あああ！！！」

Mommy: "They are going to fall down on the floor in two seconds."

ママ：「あと2秒で床に落ちるわね。」

The reason of a special big smile 〜特大ニコニコ顔の理由〜

 

Mommy: "I made honey lemon marinated tomatoes. Honey is from our friend's bee hives, lemon & mint leaves from our garden."

ママ：「ハチミツレモン漬けトマトを作った。ハチミツはお友だちのハチの巣箱から、レモンとミントの葉は、うちのお庭からよ。」

Mommy: "These honey lemon tomatoes are so refreshing in the summer time. Even just as a little side dish with the simple sandwiches, it makes a great meal."

ママ：「このハチミツレモン漬けトマト、夏場はとってもリフレッシング。シンプルなサンドイッチの副菜としても、すごくいいお食事になるし。」

Sachi: "Did you say tomatoes? I think I can eat tomatoes. I like the ripe and sweet ones♪"

さち：「トマトって言った？　わたち、トマトなら食べられる。熟ちて甘いのが好き〜♪」

Mommy: "Well, these are already marinated with honey and lemon."

ママ：「えっと、すでにハチミツとレモンでマリネしてるし。」

Sachi: "Honey? I love honey water! I can eat it every day."

さち：「ハチミツ？　わたち、ハチミツウォーター好き！　毎日でも飲める〜」

Mommy: "What a special big smile you have."

ママ：「また特大ニコニコさん顔しちゃって。」

Sachi: "Why don't you move to the other side like you normally do? I'm already in this spot."

さち：「にいにい、なんでいつもみたいに、向こう側に移動ちてくれないんでしゅか？　わたちもう、こっち側に来てましゅけど。」

Makana: "I don't want to go."

マカナ：「ぼく、行きたくない。」

Sachi: "Why?"

さち：「なんで？」

Makana: "Because there is no blanket on the seat."

マカナ：「だって、シートにブランケットがないから。」

Mommy: "Oh, it just fell down."

ママ：「ああ、下に落ちちゃったのね。」

Sachi: "You are so picky."

さち：「にいにい、好き嫌いちたらダメでしゅよ。」

Makana: "Then, you should move there."

マカナ：「じゃあ、さっちゃんが向こう側に移動してよ。」

Sachi: "No."

Babysitting Sachi 〜さちのベビーシッティング〜

Makana: "Huh... I'm tired."

マカナ：「はあ‥‥ 疲れた。」

Mommy: "How come?"

ママ：「なんで？」

Mommy: "I think we are the ones who are tired. Mommy & daddy poured for Gold Medal Wine Tasting at Mid State Fair yesterday."

ママ：「疲れてるのは、ママたちのほうだと思うけど。パパとママ、昨日、ミッドステイトフェアのゴールドメダル・ワインテイスティングでみなさんにワインを注いでたから。」

Mommy: "It was nice to show that we received Best of Class in addition to Double Gold."

ママ：「ダブルゴールドに加えてベストオブクラスを受賞したことをお知らせできたのは、よかったわね〜」

Makana: "I'm tired because I had to babysit Sachi while you were away to work yesterday."

マカナ：「ぼくが疲れてるのは、ママたちが昨日お仕事でいなかった間、さっちゃんのベビーシッターをしないといけなかったからだよ。」

Mommy: "Oh, that must've been hard. Please go back to sleep."

ママ：「それは、大変だったわね。どうぞ寝てちょうだい。」

Sachi: "Umm... What's this for?"

さち：「あの‥‥ これ、なに用？」

Mommy: "Don't worry such a small thing. Hi-Five, Sachi♪"

ママ：「まあ、そういう小さいことは気にしないで。さっちゃん、ハイファイブ♪」

Sachi: "You usually do Hi-Five when you want to give a compliment, right? Did I do anything good? Or is this actually some kind of punishment?"

さち：「ハイファイブってふつう、褒めたいときにしゅるんでしゅよね？　わたち、何かいいことちたでしゅか？　しょれとも逆に、これは何かの罰でしゅか？」

Mommy: "Just enjoy the moment♪"

ママ：「まあ、この瞬間を楽しんで♪」

The smoke detector that speaks 〜しゃべるスモーク探知機〜

The smoke detector in the master bedroom suddenly went off yesterday. The recent smoke detector is amazing. Not just the alert sound, but it speaks the words!

昨日突然、マスターベッドルームのスモーク探知機が鳴りました。最近のスモーク探知機はすごいですね〜　警報の音だけでなく、言葉もしゃべるんです！

Mommy: "There you are. I wonder where you went, Ma-kun."

ママ：「そこにいたのね。マーくん、どこに行っちゃったかと思った。」

Makana: "Well... the machine that had a big noise said 'Please evacuate!'. So I evacuated."

マカナ：「だって‥‥ 大きい音のした機械が、”避難してください！”って言ったから、ぼく、避難したの。」

Mommy: "Oh, yeah. It really said it."

ママ：「ああ、そうね。本当にそう言ったわよね。」

Sachi: "Daddy asked if mommy smoked tabacco in the bedroom."

さち：「パパが、ママがベッドルームでタバコを吸ったんじゃないかって聞いてまちたよ。」

Mommy: "I've never smoked tabacco even once in my life."

ママ：「人生で一度もタバコを吸ったことないから。」

Makana: "Did the machine stop making a noise? Don't we need to evacuate?"

マカナ：「機械、音出してない？　ぼくたち、避難しなくていいの？」

Mommy: "I think the smoke detector is just running out of the battery. It's quiet now. I'm sure it scared you two. But everything is OK now."

ママ：「スモーク探知機、バッテリーが切れてきただけだと思うよ。今はもう静かになったから。きっとふたりとも、怖かったよね。でももう大丈夫よ。」
