Being washed on the rainy day? 〜雨の日に洗われる？〜

 

Sachi: "I don't understand at all why we had to be washed on the rainy day."

さち：「雨の日になんで洗われなきゃいけないのか、さっぱりわからない。」

Makana: "Well, we were already wet from the rain. But did you really need to take the trouble and wash us by hose?"

マカナ：「まあ、雨ですでに濡れてたけどね。わざわざホースでぼくたちを洗う必要、ある？」

Mommy: "Then, I would like to ask you guys. Why do you have to come back with the dirt every time you go out?"

ママ：「じゃあふたりに聞くけど、なんで毎回お外に出るたびに、ドロドロになって帰ってこなきゃいけないの？」

Sachi: "What?"

さち：「え？」

Makana: "That is because..."

マカナ：「それは、だから‥‥」

Mommy: "Did you run around by chasing each other and possibly dig a hole again on this rainy day?"

ママ：「まさかこんな雨の日に、追いかけっこして走り回ったり、また穴掘りしたんじゃないわよね？」

Sachi: "Well..."

さち：「えっと‥‥」

Makana: "Mmm......"

マカナ：「うーんと‥‥」

Sachi: "Umm... You can wash my tail, too."

さち：「あの‥‥ しっぽも洗ってもらおうかな。」

Mommy: "I already did."

ママ：「もう洗いました。」

Because of a pollen allergy 〜花粉症だから〜

 

Mommy: "You are with Ms Lamby, Sachi?"

ママ：「さっちゃん。ラミーちゃんと一緒にいるの？」

Sachi: "Not Ms Lamby, Mr. Lamby."

さち：「ラミーちゃんじゃなくて、ラミーくんでしゅから。」

Sachi: "I'm cleaning his butt now."

さち：「いま、ラミーくんのおしりをきれいにちてあげてるんでしゅよ。」

Mommy: "Oh, are you?"

ママ：「あら、そうなの？」

Mommy: "By the way, Sachi. It looks like Mr. Lamby has a runny nose."

ママ：「ところで、さっちゃん。ラミーくん、鼻水出てるみたいだけど。」

Sachi: "I know."

さち：「知ってる。」

Sachi: "He has a pollen allergy."

さち：「花粉症なんでしゅよ。」

Mommy: "It's spring, isn't it?"

ママ：「春だもんね。」

Feeling a little spring 〜少し春を感じて〜

 

Mommy: "It's a little chilly this morning. I see frost on the fence. But it's nice to see the sunlight again."

ママ：「今朝はちょっと寒い。フェンスに霜も降りてるし。でも、また太陽の光が見えてよかったわ。」

Makana: "Ma-kun's bite! (bite)"

マカナ：「マーくんのカミカミ！（カプッ）」

Sachi: "Kyaaaaa! Did you do that?"

さち：「きゃあああ！　やりまちたね〜」

Makana: "See, see? I can do more♪"

マカナ：「ほれ、ほれ。もっとできる♪」

Sachi: "Ahhh! Stop it!"

さち：「あああ！　やめて〜！」

Ken: "I'm going to run around, too. I feel good with the sunlight♪"

ケン：「ぼくも走り回ろうっと。太陽の光を受けて気持ちいい♪」

Mommy: "Chickens laid eggs this morning. Everyone gets excited when the sun is out."

ママ：「にわとりさんたち、今朝卵を産んでくれた。太陽が出ると、みんなワクワクしちゃうのよね〜」

Makana in the morning 〜朝のマカナ〜

 

Mommy: "Oh, Ma-kun. you are here. I was wondering where you went. You ate breakfast very slowly this morning. Are you feeling OK?"

ママ：「あら、マーくん。ここにいたのね。どこに行ったのかなあって思ってたのよ。今朝は朝ごはんを食べるのもゆっくりだったしね。気分は大丈夫？」

Makana: "I was getting some fresh air. I'm feeling OK."

マカナ：「風にあたってたんだ。大丈夫だよ。」

Mommy: "Let's go back in the house."

ママ：「さあ、おうちに戻りましょ。」

Makana: "Well, I feel like someone is staring at me."

マカナ：「あの、誰かに見つめられている気がするんだけど。」

Mommy: "It's Sachi inside. She was also wondering where you went."

ママ：「中にいるさっちゃんよ。さっちゃんも、マーくんがどこに行ったのかなあって思ってたのよ。」

Nothing can stop me being romantic. 〜ロマンチックが止まらない〜

 

Mommy: "This is the photo I took on my iPhone last night. The most shiny one is the moon, and the one below is Venus. You can see the Pleiades above. The amazing thing is that you can see the color of blue well by the naked eye."

ママ：「これは、昨夜私のiPhoneで撮った写真。一番輝いているのが月で、その下のが金星。プレアデス星団も上に見える。すごいのは、肉眼でちゃんと青い色が見えるってことなのよね。」

Mommy: "This is the picture from Sky Guide. You see what's going on in the sky. Jupiter, Mercury and the sun is lining up under the ground. Isn't it romantic?"

ママ：「これは、スカイガイドから撮った図。空で起こっていることを見ることができるのよ。木星、水星、そして太陽が一列に並んでる。ロマンチックじゃない？」

Daddy: "Sorry for bothering you when you are being romantic, but could you open the the door, honey? I need to put Sachi in the car."

パパ：「ロマンチックになっているときに悪いんだけどね、ママ、ドアを開けてくれない？　車にさちを乗せなきゃいけないんだ。」

Mommy: "Oh, sorry. I'll do it right now."

ママ：「あ、ごめん。今すぐ開けるね。」

Sachi: "I don't want to go in the car..."

さち：「わたち、車に乗りたくない‥‥」

The rare guests visited us. 〜珍客がやって来た〜

 

Ms. Staff: "Oh, no! Four wild birds walked in the tasting room!"

スタッフさん：「あら、大変！　野鳥が４羽、テイスティングルームに歩いて入ってきました！」

Mommy: "Gosh! They are relaxing at the vines! Let's get them out safely."

ママ：「なんてこと！　ぶどうの木でリラックスしちゃってる！　安全に出て行ってもらいましょ。」

Makana: "Oh, no. Oh, no. Something wrong is going on."

マカナ：「大変だ、大変だ。なんか良くないことが起こってる。」

Sachi: "I'll help you, mommy. Do you want me to catch them?"

さち：「わたち、お手伝いちましゅよ、ママ。鳥しゃん、捕まえようか？」

Mommy: "No, thank you. We've got a broom and the blanket. We opened the door and the window widely. Let us take care of it." 

ママ：「いや、大丈夫。ほうきと毛布があるし。ドアと窓も大きく開けたからね。なんとかしてみるわ。」

Mommy: "Good! Another one went out. There is just one more left."

ママ：「よかった！　また１羽、出て行った。残っているのは、あと１羽。」

The staff: "Good! We can do it."

スタッフさん：「よし！　がんばりましょ。」

Mommy: "Yay! All went out!"

ママ：「イエーイ！　みんな出て行った！」

Sachi: "I want them come back! It was fun!"

さち：「みんなに戻ってきてもらいたい！　楽ちかったもん！」

Makana: "I prefer dogs to birds."

マカナ：「ぼくは、鳥さんより犬の方がいい。」

It must be a routine. 〜ルーティーンにちがいない〜

Mommy: "It's nice to be able to go out, isn't it?"

ママ：「お外に出られるのっていいね〜」

Sachi: "......"

さち：「‥‥」

Makana: "......"

マカナ：「‥‥」

Sachi: "Brother. I kind of want to run around."

さち：「にいにい。わたち、なんか、走り回りたい。」

Makana: "Shhhh. We'll figure it out later."

マカナ：「しーーーっ。そのことは、あとでなんとかしよう。」

During the farm work　ファームワーク中

Mommy: "Gosh. My boots got a lot of dirt from the mud."

ママ：「あらら。ぬかるみの泥が、ブーツにいっぱいついちゃった。」

After the farm work　ファームワークのあと

Mommy: "Huh... I thought I don't need to wash you guys this week."

ママ：「はあ‥‥ 今週は、ふたりのこと洗わなくてもいいと思ってたんだけど。」

Makana: "Well, it's not my fault. Sachi is the one who started to run first."

マカナ：「えっと。ぼくのせいじゃないよ。さっちゃんが、先に走り始めたの。」

Sachi: "Brother Ma was having a good time, too."

さち：「マーにいにいも、楽しんでまちたよ〜」

During the rain in California 〜カリフォルニア州の雨の中で〜

 

Since the rain stopped, I took Makana & Sachi out to the backyard, and went to do some farm work. Then, the rain started again! I put chickens back in the coop and quickly brought grains to cows. All of us got wet (again).

雨が止んだので、マカナ＆さちを裏庭に出し、ファームワークに出かけました。そしたらなんと、また雨が降り出したのです！　にわとりたちを鶏小屋に戻し、急いで牛たちに穀物を持っていきました。私たちみんな、（また）びしょびしょになりました。

Makana: "Sachi. Aren't you getting cleaner and fluffier for some reason?"

マカナ：「さっちゃん。なんか、ふわふわしてきれいになってきてない？」

Sachi: "I've been wet and towel-dried many times these days."

さち：「最近、何度も濡れてタオルで拭かれてましゅから。」

Sachi: "It feels like a massage and it feels good♪"

さち：「マッサージみたいで、気持ちいい♪」

Mommy: "That's good."

ママ：「それは、よかった。」

Mommy: "I heard the rain will stop tonight. We'll get to see the sunlight this weekend."

ママ：「今夜、雨が止むって聞いたよ。今週末には、陽の光が見れるわね。」

Missing the sunlight 〜陽の光が恋しくて〜

Mommy: "Oh, no! The shingles on the big chicken coop are coming off with the strong wind! I need to pound the new nails on it."

ママ：「大変！　大きい方の鶏小屋の屋根が、強風で吹き飛ばされそう！　新しい釘をハンマーで打たなきゃ。」

Mommy: "Hyaaa! The small coop got blown away toward me when I was fixing the roof. I really need to move this away, otherwise it might hit the big coop with the strong wind. But I can't carry it by myself. Let's ask my husband to help me."

ママ：「ひゃあああ！　屋根の修理をしているときに、小さい方の鶏小屋が私に向かって飛ばされてきた。これ、移動させなきゃ。じゃないと、強風で大きい方の鶏小屋にぶつかっちゃう。でも一人じゃ運べない。パパの助けを借りよう。」

At home　おうち

Mommy: "Oh, gosh. I'm soaking wet to the underwear..."

ママ：「あら、下着までびちょびちょ‥‥」

Makana: "Hey! Please don't get so close to mommy!"

マカナ：「ちょっと！　そんなにママに近づかないで！」

Sachi: "Why! I missed her, too!"

さち：「なんででしゅか！　わたちだって、さびちかったんでしゅから！」

Makana: "No! I was the one who missed her!"

マカナ：「ちがうっ！　さびしかったのは、ぼく！」

Sachi: "Ouch! Do you want to wrestle with me again?"

さち：「いてっ！　またレスリングしゅるでしゅか？」

Mommy: "Hey! Who brought a hammer here?"

ママ：「ちょっと！　ここにハンマーを持ってきたの、だれ？」
