Leo: "We would like to show our chorus to you today."

レオ：「今日は、ぼくたちのコーラスをお見せしたいと思います。」

Sophie: "Please watch carefully."

ソフィ：「よく見ていて下さいね。」

Leo & Sophie: "AGHAGHAGHAGHAGH!!!"

レオ＆ソフィ：「ああ〜ああ〜ああ〜ああ〜！！！」

Sophie: "Tarararara♪"　ソフィ：「タララララ♪」

Leo: "Sharararara♪"　レオ：「シャララララ♪」

Sophie: "How was our chorus?"

ソフィ：「私たちのコーラス、どうだったかしら？」

Leo: "Can we have a concert?"

レオ：「コンサート、できるかな？」 

Kona: ".... We need to buy tickets for their concert before they are sold out."

コナ：「‥‥売り切れる前に、チケット買わなきゃ。」

Comfortable excessive heat? 〜心地よい灼熱？〜

Summer in Las Vegas is hot! We need to come back from a morning walk by 8:30am, otherwise it's too hot for doggies to walk on the sidewalk. We normally see local senior group at the park. And we give the water to their dogs.

ラスベガスの夏は暑い！朝のお散歩は、8時半までに済ませるようにします。それ以降になると歩道が熱くなって、犬たちが歩けないからです。公園では、たいてい地元のシニアグループの皆さんにお会いします。そして皆さんの犬たちにお水を配ります。

Mommy: "Good morning, Miss Sydney♪"

ママ：「シドニーちゃん、おはよう♪」

Mommy: "You must be very thirsty, Mr. Ragnar."

ママ：「ラグナーくんは、とってものどがかわいてるのね。」

Ehime: "He he♪ I got a massage again♥"

えひめ：「えへへ♪　またマッサージをちてもらいまちた♥」

In the afternoon　午後

Ehime: "Umm, brothers? Isn't it too hot..."

えひめ：「あの、にいたまたち？暑くないんでしゅか？」

Ehime: "to sleep there?"

えひめ：「しょんなところで寝て。」

Kona: "Zzzz..."

コナ：「Zzzz...」

Mommy: "I feel weird when Kahlua is quiet."

ママ：「カルアくんが静かだと、なんだか不思議だわね。」

Kahlua: "Zzzz...."

カルア：「Zzzz....」

Mommy: "Oh, wow. He is deeply asleep."

ママ：「あら、カルアくん、本格的に眠っているみたい。」

I don't know how they can feel so comfortable in this excessive heat, but I want to avoid from making them get a heatstroke. After spending a short time outside, I decided to let them inside of the house. 

私には、みんながどうしてこの灼熱を心地よいと思えるのかわかりませんが、熱中症になると大変です。お外で少し過ごした後、家の中に入ってもらうことにしました。

Mommy: "Snack time♪"

ママ：「おやつの時間よ〜♪」

Ehime: "Dry apples♥"

えひめ：「干しリンゴ♥」

Mommy: "It looks like Kona prefers napping outside to eating snacks."

ママ：「コナくんは、おやつを食べるより、お外でお昼寝するほうがいいみたいね。」

Daddy plays with his new toy. 〜新しいおもちゃで遊ぶパパ〜

Yesterday, the highest temperature was 102F. On a hot day like that, my husband started...

昨日の最高気温は、約39℃。そんな暑い日に主人が始めたのは‥‥

Daddy: "Charcoal grill♪"

パパ：「炭火焼グリル♪」

Kahlua: "Is it your new toy you received on your birthday, daddy?"

カルア：「それ、パパがお誕生日のときにもらった新しいおもちゃじゃない？」

Daddy: "That's right."

パパ：「そうだよ。」

Daddy: "Skewers for grilling♪"

パパ：「グリル用の焼き串♪」

Ehime: "One skewer is done."

えひめ：「一本目ができた。」

Daddy: "The charcoal is getting ready."

パパ：「炭火、そろそろいいかな。」

Daddy: "Let's put chicken skewers here♪"

パパ：「ここにチキンの串焼きを置いて、と。」

Some minutes later　数分後

Ehime: "The smell is so good♪"

えひめ：「おいちそうなにおい♪」

Mommy: "Oh, wow! Just looking makes me very hungry!"

ママ：「わあ〜！見ているだけで、とってもおなかがすいてきた！」

Daddy: "These are going to be delicious♪"

パパ：「これはおいしくなるぞ〜♪」

Kona: "I got you♪"　コナ：「隙あり〜♪」

Kahlua: "I got you♪"　カルア：「隙あり〜♪」

Ehime: "Ahhh! Two to one is not good!"

えひめ：「あああ！二対一はダメでしゅよ！」

Kona: "Then, only me."

コナ：「じゃあ、ぼくだけ。」

Ehime: "Mmm? Where is brother Kahlua?"

えひめ：「ん？カルアにいは？」

Kahlua: "Daddy, I'm a very good boy. How can I help you?"

カルア：「パパ、ぼくはすごくいい子です。なにをお手伝いすればいい？」

Leo: "Kona's daddy, please invite us for a charcoal grilling someday♪"

レオ：「コナパパさん、いつか炭火焼にぼくたちを招待してね♪」

Sophie: "Let's see. Steak sounds great to me♪"

ソフィ：「そうね〜、ステーキなんかいいわね〜♪」

AC is not working in Vegas! 〜ラスベガスでエアコンが効かない！〜

Ehime: "We are going out today♪"

えひめ：「今日はおでかけ〜♪」

We normally don't walk with doggies during a day in summer, because the highest temperature might get up to 104F or even higher. But today, we all had to get out from the house, because we asked the cleaner people to come. On the way to lunch, while doggies and I were waiting in the car for my husband doing some errands at one place, I suddenly realized the AC is not working. This is an emergency in Las Vegas! I called my husband and we hurried to Chloe's & Jack's house since we couldn't go back to our house yet. Doggies were safe. We all had plenty of water in the yard.

夏場は日中、あまり犬たちとお散歩することはありません。なぜなら最高気温が40℃かそれ以上になるからです。でも今日は、お掃除の方々にお願いしていた日だったので、みんなで家を出なければいけませんでした。ランチに行く途中、主人がちょっと用事を済ませるのを犬たちと私が車の中で待っていたその時、突然車のエアコンが効かなくなってきていることに気づきました。これはラスベガスでは緊急事態です！主人に連絡をして、そのまますぐクロエちゃんとジャックくんのおうちへ急いで行かせてもらうことにしました。そのときはまだ、我が家に帰ることができなかったからです。犬たちはみんな無事でした。お庭に出て、みんなでお水をたくさん飲みました。

Kona: "Chloe's house♥"

コナ：「クロエのおうち♥」

Kona: "I'm in the water♪"

コナ：「ぼく、お水に入った♪」

Ehime: "I already swam♪"

えひめ：「わたち、もう泳ぎまちた♪」

Kahlua: "Warning, warning! Goldens are in the water!"

カルア：「警報、警報！ゴールデンズがお水に入っています！」

Kona: "Yaaaaa!"

コナ：「やあああああ！」

Kona: "Jump!!!"

コナ：「ジャンプ！！！」

Ehime: "I can get the ball, too. (swim, swim)"

えひめ：「わたちだって、ボール取れましゅよ。（スイスイ）」

Kona: "Don't you have one ball in your mouth already?"

コナ：「ひとつもうお口に持ってるんじゃないの？」

Ehime: "See? I got it♪"

えひめ：「ほらね？取れまちた。」

Kona: "You dropped the yellow one."

コナ：「黄色いほうは落としたけどね。」

Mommy: "Huh, it feels good to be in the nature, doesn't it?"

ママ：「はあ。自然の中にいるのって気持ちいいね〜」

Daddy: "Are you enjoying, Kahlua?"

パパ：「カルア、楽しんでる？」

Kahlua: "Very♪"

カルア：「とっても♪」

At home　おうち

Mommy: "Everyone is tired now. I don't think doggies want to walk on a treadmill today."

ママ：「みんな疲れたのね。今日は犬たち、トレッドミルはしたくないようね。」

PS: My husband called the maintenance of Lexus right after we got back home. We hope everything gets fixed soon!

PS：帰ってすぐ、主人がレクサスのメンテナンスに電話をしてくれました。悪いところが全部直りますように！

Our essential fruit 〜我が家に欠かせない果物〜

Mommy: "Ehime, what are you doing?"

ママ：「ひめたん、なにしてるの？」

Ehime: "Oops..."

えひめ：「あっ‥‥」

Mommy: "You ate the grass!? And made a hole???"

ママ：「草、食べちゃったの！？穴まであけた？？？」

Mommy: "Don't do that."

ママ：「ダメでしょ。」

Ehime: "That's because..."

えひめ：「だって‥‥」

Ehime: "We don't have dry apples anymore."

えひめ：「もう干しリンゴがないでしゅから。」

Mommy: "You are right."

ママ：「あら、ホント。」

Ehime: "How could I survive without dry apples?"

えひめ：「干しリンゴなちで、どうやって生きていけばいいでしゅか？」

Mommy: "You are exaggerating."

ママ：「そんな大げさな。」

Mommy: "Although, I understand how you feel. Apple is the essential fruit in our house, even though this is not the best season for them. Let's make dry apples now."

ママ：「でもまあ、気持ちはわかるよ。今の季節ものではないけれど、リンゴは我が家では欠かせない果物だからね。よし、今から干しリンゴを作ろう。」

Ehime: "Yay♪"　えひめ：「やった♪」

Kahlua: "My job is tasting♪"　カルア：「ぼく、味見役♪」

Mommy: "Is this too thick? No, right?"

ママ：「これ、太すぎるかな？そんなことないよね？」

Mommy: "Do you want to taste apples?"

ママ：「リンゴの味見してみる？」

Kahlua: "Please."

カルア：「ぜひお願いします。」

Kahlua: "Tasty♪"　カルア：「おいしい♪」

Ehime: "Yummy♪"　えひめ：「おいちい♪」

Kona: "Do you have more?"　コナ：「もっとある？」

Mommy: "Let's put the apple slices on the dehydrator. On high heat, it probably takes about five hours."

ママ：「さあ、食品乾燥器にリンゴのスライスを入れようね。高温にすれば、多分5時間くらいでできるかな。」
