Gratitude 〜感謝の気持ち〜

Sachi: "Mommy, I need to go pee-wee."

さち：「ママ〜。わたち、チッチに行きたい。」

Mommy: "What!? Now?"

ママ：「えっ！？　今？」

Another busy day at the tasting room. If I say... This is like a Golden Week (a long holidays at the end of April to the beginning of May) in Japan. Since we had no time to take Goldens for bathroom, Sachi had to go emergency one time in the evening,.

テイスティングルームでは、また忙しい1日でした。言うならば‥‥ こちらは今、日本のゴールデンウィークといったところでしょうか。私たちは、ゴールデンズをトイレに連れていく時間もなかったので、夕方一度、さちが緊急でトイレに行きたがりました。

When the regular customers showed up, I led them to the table with the wine list and said "I'm very very sorry, but could I take Sachi out for 2 minutes?" Since they are a huge fan of dogs, "No problem at all! You can take Makana out, too." What wonderful regular customers we have. Support from the locals means a lot to us, and we never forget.

常連さんがお越し下さったとき、私はワインリストと共にお客様をテーブルまでご案内し、「本当に本当に申し訳ありません。2分だけ、さちをお外に出してきてもいいですか？」とお願いしました。常連さんは犬たちの大ファンな方々で、「どうぞ、どうぞ！なんなら、マカナくんも出してきていいですよ。」とおっしゃって下さいました。私たちの常連さんは、本当に素晴らしい方々です。地元の方々からのサポートは、私たちにとっては本当に大きな意味を持ち、そして私たちはそれを忘れることは決してありません。

We want to say hello. 〜ご挨拶したい〜

 

So many nice people visited our tasting room yesterday! It's three-day-weekend because of Memorial Day, and people traveled using this opportunity. We even received the beautiful flowers from the local hotel that we used to pour at before we opened the tasting room in 2019. What an amazing day it was.

昨日、たくさんの方々がテイスティングルームを訪れてくれました！　メモリアルデーを含めた3日休日の週末なので、この機会を利用して、旅行に出る方が多いようです。2019年に私たちがテイスティングルームをオープンする前に、お客様にワインテイスティングご提供していた地元のホテルから、きれいな花束もいただきました。なんてステキな一日だったのでしょう。

Sachi: "I'm tired tonight. Our dinner was late, too."

さち：「わたち、今夜疲れちゃった。晩ごはんも遅かったち。」

Makana: "If you are tired, you don't need to jump up on the gate to say hello to people all the time. You can just let me do that."

マカナ：「疲れてるなら、さっちゃん、みんなにご挨拶するのにいつもゲートにジャンプしなくていいんだよ。その仕事、ぼくに譲ってくれていいんだから。」

Sachi: "That... I can't. I want to say hello to everyone."

さち：「しょれは‥‥ ムリ。わたち、みんなにご挨拶ちたいでしゅから。」

A broken window 〜壊れた窓〜

 

Mommy: "Oh, my. We heard the sound of glass when we were getting ready for breakfast. It was our broken window. This is a two-layer-window, so the one inside is still good. But the one outside is probably breaking down soon."

ママ：「あら。朝ごはんの支度をしているときにガラスの音が聞こえたと思ったけど、壊れた窓だったのね。これは二層の窓だから、内側のは大丈夫だけど、外側のは多分、もうすぐ崩れちゃうわね。」

Daddy: "This is the special-order-window. The company said that it's going to take about four weeks. I hope they come soon to replace the window."

パパ：「これは、特注の窓だからね。業者さんは、４週間くらいかかるって言ってた。早く窓の入れ替えに来てくれるといいけど。」

Makana: "Well... I don't think I broke the window... did I?"

マカナ：「えっと‥‥　ぼく、窓を壊してない‥‥よね？」

Mommy: "No worries. It's not you. The broken window has a limitation to keep the cracked glass in place."

ママ：「心配しないで。マーくんじゃないから。壊れた窓だから、ヒビが入ったままのガラスをそこにキープしておくには限界があるのよ。」

Sachi: "Mommy, mommy! This way!"

さち：「ママ〜、ママ〜！　こっち〜！」

Mommy: "Oh, my. I guess you don't feel pain any more after the surgery."

ママ：「あら。さっちゃん、術後の痛みはもうないみたいね。」

Sachi: "I can jump, too. See? (jump)"

さち：「ジャンプだってできましゅよ。ほら。（ジャンプ）」

Mommy: "I see that. And you look very happy."

ママ：「そうみたいね。それに、すごくハッピーって感じで。」

Makana: "Then, Sachi. Can we play and chase each other?"

マカナ：「じゃあ、さっちゃん。追いかけっこする？」

Sachi: "Yes, we can! You are it!"

さち：「しゅる！　にいにいが、おに！」」

Makana: "Ahh, that's unfair!"

マカナ：「ああ、ずるいっ！」

Mommy: "The game starts anytime anywhere."

ママ：「ゲームは、いつでもどこでも始まるのね。」

Thursday wash 〜木曜日洗い〜

 

Mommy: "Huh, washing Ma-kun is much easier than washing Sachi. I wanted to take a photo of washing Sachi, but it was just so impossible."

ママ：「はあ、マーくんを洗うのは、さっちゃんを洗うのよりずっと簡単だわ。さっちゃんを洗ってる写真を撮りたかったけど、もうそれは本当に不可能だもの。」

Makana: "Now you miss the time when Sachi was controllable, don't you?"

マカナ：「今となっては、さっちゃんが制御可能だったときがなつかしいでしょ。」

Mommy: "I think you are right."

ママ：「確かにそうだわね。」

Makana: "Umm, I might want to go pee-wee."

マカナ：「あの、ぼくちょっとチッチに行きたいかも。」

Mommy: "Can you go later? Let's wash you first."

ママ：「あとにしてくれない？　先にマーくんを洗っちゃいましょ。」

Makana: "Later? When?"

マカナ：「あとって？　いつ？」

Sachi: "Have you finished packing wines for club members?"

さち：「クラブメンバーさんへのワイン梱包、終わりまちたか？」

Daddy: "Just a little more. Did you want to play?"

パパ：「あともうちょっと。遊びたかった？」

Sachi: "Yes, I did."

さち：「うん、遊びたかった。」

Makana: "I'm waiting here on the couch. Please let me know when you are done."

マカナ：「ぼくは、ここのソファーで待ってるから。終わったら教えてね。」

Daddy: "OK."

パパ：「わかった。」

Daddy: "Let's do our best for packing and try to finish as soon as possible."

パパ：「梱包がんばって、できるだけ早く終わらせよう。」

Sachi: "OK. How can I help you?"

さち：「わかった。わたち、何のお手伝いちようか？」

Daddy: "Well... No thank you, but I appreciate your kindness."

パパ：「えっと‥‥ それは大丈夫かな。気持ちだけ受け取っておくね。」

Sachi is obsessed about Koe. 〜コエちゃんにぞっこんなさち〜

 

Sachi: "Should I adopt this bunny, too?"

さち：「このうさぎしゃんも、養子縁組ちようかな？」

Mommy: "Adopt... Are they your babies now?"

ママ：「養子縁組って‥‥ その子たち、さっちゃんの子供になったの？」

Mommy: "When I look closely, you actually have Lamby nearby, too."

ママ：「よく見たら、ラミーちゃんも近くに置いちゃって。」

Sachi: "I don't know why, but I suddenly feel like a mommy."

さち：「なんでかわからないけど、突然ママの気持ちになっちゃったから。」

Bed time　ベッドタイム

Mommy: "Let's go to bed... Oh. You are already asleep... with a little toy. Hmm... Should I name this stuffed toy Koe? Ko is from Kona, and E is from Ehime."

ママ：「さあ、寝ましょ‥‥ あ。もう寝ちゃったのね‥‥ 小さなおもちゃと一緒に。うーん‥‥　このぬいぐるみは、コエちゃんと名付けようかな。コはコナくんから、エはえひめのエってことで。」

A stuffed toy with memories 〜思い出のぬいぐるみ〜

 

Makana: "Doesn't Sachi want to come out?"

マカナ：「さっちゃんは、出てこないの？」

Mommy: "Hmm, I wonder what she is doing. Let me go check."

ママ：「うーん、何してるのかしらね。ちょっと見てくるわ。」

Mommy: "Oh, there you are. What are you doing here? Don't you want to go out?"

ママ：「ああ、さっちゃん、ここにいたのね。何してるの？　お外に出たくない？」

Sachi: "Well, if I go, this little lamb will be alone."

さち：「えっと、わたちが行ったら、この子羊ちゃんがひとりになっちゃうから。」

Mommy: "I have a lot of good memories of Kona & Ehime with that little lamb. If it's possible, I wanted to keep it nicely as my treasure. But for some reason, you've fallen in love with it and whine when I take it away. I guess you can have it. Probably Kona & Ehime are good with it."

ママ：「その子羊にはね、コナくんとひめたんのいい思い出がたくさんあるのよ。できることなら、宝物としてきちんと取っておきたかったんだけどね。でもなぜかさっちゃん、ものすごく気に入っちゃって、取り上げるとクンクン泣いちゃうから。持っててもいいわよ。きっとコナくんとひめたんも、いいよって言うと思うから。」

We were happy to see club members. 〜クラブメンバーさんたちに会えてうれしかった〜

 

Mommy: "Chicken thigh sandwich marinaded with homemade Teriyaki sauce. I hope club members enjoy this."

ママ：「自家製照り焼きソースでマリネした鶏もも肉のサンドイッチ。クラブメンバーさんたち、気に入ってくださるかしら。」

Daddy: "I'm sure they do. I prove it because I already ate it♪"

パパ：「きっと気に入ってくれるよ。ぼくが証明するよ、だってぼく、もう食べたから♪」

Mommy: "When???"

ママ：「いつ？？？」

Next day　次の日

Sachi: "I entertained so many people at the pickup party yesterday. I'm tired."

さち：「昨日のピックアップパーティでたくさんの人たちのおもてなちをちまちたから。わたち、疲れちゃった。」

Mommy: "Me, too. My legs still hurt."

ママ：「ママも。まだ足が痛い。」

Mommy: "We are getting there. Let's finish packing wines before Spring Club Pickup Party."

ママ：「だいぶできてきたわね。スプリングクラブピックアップパーティの前に、ワインの梱包を終わらせましょ。」

Mr. Staff: "OK."

スタッフさん：「はい。」

Next morning　次の日の朝

Mommy: "Mmm? I don't see Sachi. Where did she go?"

ママ：「ん？　さっちゃんの姿が見えない。どこに行ったのかしら？」

Makana: "She went to bed. Since we have a big party at the tasting room, we should save our energy now, right?"

マカナ：「さっちゃんなら、ベッドに行ったよ。テイスティングルームで大きなパーティがあるから、今はエネルギーを蓄えておかなきゃ、でしょ？」

Mommy: "Umm, I guess. What are you exactly planning to do at the party?"

ママ：「あの、まあね。いったいパーティで何する気なの？」

Makana: "♪♪♪"

さち：「ママ、おかえり〜！」

Mommy: "It's so nice to see your smile again, Sachi."

She started to eat the wet food. 〜ウェットフードを食べ始めました〜

Sachi has started to eat wet food! We put a small amount of dry food in her food bowl as well. It took some time, but she ate up.

さちが、ウェットフードを食べ始めました！　少量のドライフードも混ぜてみました。時間はかかりましたが、全部食べました。

Sachi: "I should eat up before brother Ma comes."

さち：「マーにいにいが来る前に、全部食べなきゃ。」

Makana: "♪♪♪"

マカナ：「♪♪♪」

Next day　次の日

Mommy: "I wonder if you can go to the tasting room today."

ママ：「さっちゃん、今日テイスティングルームに行けるかな。」

Sachi: "I want to go. I don't want to stay alone at home."

さち：「わたち、行きたい。ひとりでお家にいるの、やだ。」

Mommy: "I understand. But you need to make sure that you rest in the tasting room, not jump up on the gate, OK?"

ママ：「そうよね。でも、テイスティングルームではちゃんと休んで、ゲートに飛び上がらないようにしないといけないよ。」

Sachi: "...... I don't know if I can promise..."

さち：「‥‥ お約束できるかわかりましぇん‥‥」

Mommy: "What did you say?"

ママ：「なんだって？」
