Mommy: "We put the picture panels on the wall in our restaurant. This picture reminds me of the beach town in Oahu where we used to live. I can still hear the waves in my ears."

ママ：「うちのレストランの壁に、ピクチャーパネルを貼ったの。この絵を見ると、ママたちが住んでたオアフ島のビーチタウンを思い出すわ。耳にまだ波の音が聞こえる。」

Makana: "I don't want to hear the waves. I don't think I like the water coming to me."

マカナ：「ぼくは、波の音聞きたくない。お水がぼくのところに寄ってくるの、きっと好きじゃないと思うから。」

Sachi: "I'm finally getting used to the shower. Taking a bath might be a little challenging."

さち：「わたち、やっとシャワーに慣れてきたところでしゅから。お風呂に入るのは、ちょっと難ちいかも。」

Mommy: "Well... Going in the ocean is different from taking a bath."

ママ：「えっと‥‥ 海に入ることと、お風呂に入ることは別物なんだけど。」

Chewing... I mean... holding in my mouth 〜かじって‥‥ じゃなくて、お口で持って〜

 

Mommy: "You did a good job on putting the banners up today. It was cold and windy. It wasn't the best day to do it."

ママ：「パパ、今日バナーを貼るの、がんばったね。寒かったし、風が強かったし。バナーを貼るのに適した日ではなかったね。」

Daddy: "You are right about it. But we work in the restaurant and the tasting room six days a week. Monday is the only day we could spend time for something else."

パパ：「確かに。でも、ぼくたち、レストランとテイスティングルームで週に6日は働いているから。他のことに時間を使えるのは、月曜日だけだもの。」

Mommy: "That's right. I'm glad we got this done."

ママ：「そうね。この仕事を終えられてよかったわ。」

Sachi: "I could help you if you told me."

さち：「言ってくれたら、お手伝いできたのに。」

Mommy: "By doing what?"

ママ：「何して？」

Sachi: "Chewing the rope.... I mean... holding the rope in my mouth."

さち：「ロープをかじって‥‥ じゃなくて、ロープを口で持って。」

The temperature in fall 〜秋の気温〜

 

Sachi: "Where did the sun go?"

さち：「太陽しゃん、どこに行ったでしゅか？」

Mommy: "Right?"

ママ：「だよね。」

Mommy: "Today is actually better. I saw the weather forecast next week, and the highest temperature next Saturday will be only 59F. It's going to be cold."

ママ：「今日は、まだいい方よ。来週の天気予報を見たんだけどね、次の土曜日、最高気温は、摂氏15℃までしか上がらないんだって。寒くなるわね。」

Makana: "Hello, Mr. Vacuum Cleaner. Are you working?"

マカナ：「こんにちは、掃除機さん。お仕事？」

Mr. Vacuum Cleaner: "Yes. I see your hair here and there on the floor."

掃除機さん：「うん。床のあちこちに、キミの毛が落ちてるから。」

Makana: "Oh, thank you for cleaning after me."

マカナ：「ああ、ぼくの後片付けをしてくれてありがとう。」

Mr. Vacuum Cleaner: "Then, I'll vacuum this area next."

掃除機さん：「じゃあ、今度はこの場所のお掃除を。」

Sachi: "No!!! Don't come close to me!!!"

さち：「やだーーーっ！！！　近寄らないでっ！！！」

Mele: "I don't drop my hair. And I won't move."

メレ：「ぼくは、毛を落としません。そして動きません。」

Sachi: "Welcome back, mommy. How was work today?"

さち：「ママ、おかえり。今日のお仕事は、どうでちたか？」

Mommy: "It was good. But I missed you and Ma-kun so much."

ママ：「よかったよ。でも、さっちゃんとマーくんに会えなくて、とってもさびしかったよ。」

Sachi: "Now, I'm going to lick your hands, arms, and face to add my smell on you. So you won't feel lonely."

さち：「じゃあ、わたちがママの手と腕とお顔をなめて、わたちのにおいをママにつけてあげましゅから。そちたらママ、さびちいって思わなようになりましゅから。」

Mommy: "Umm... I'm about to take a shower. Is it OK?"

ママ：「あの‥‥ シャワーを浴びるところなんだけど、いいかな？」

Sachi: "There are so many English Cream Golden Retrievers in the field."

さち：「原っぱに、イングリッシュ・クリーム・ゴールデンレトリバーがいっぱいいる。」

Makana: "What?"

マカナ：「え？」

Makana: "Oh, they are sheep. Not English Cream Golden Retrievers."

マカナ：「ああ、羊さんたちだよ。イングリッシュ・クリーム・ゴールデンレトリバーじゃなくて。」

Makana: "But I kind of understand why you made a mistake. You are as chubby as the sheep are."

マカナ：「まあ、さっちゃんが間違えるのもわかるけどね。さっちゃん、羊さんと同じくらいぽっちゃりしてるから。」

Sachi: "You are chubby, too!"

さち：「にいにいも、ぽっちゃりちてるじゃないでしゅか！」

Makana: "No, I'm not. I don't eat as much as you do."

マカナ：「してないよ。ぼく、さっちゃんほどは食べないもん。」

Delicious dish by the chefs 〜シェフさんたちによるおいしいお料理〜

 

Mommy: "Our chefs created an amazing dish to pair with our wine. I hope people see how much effort the chefs put in to make everything from scratch from mango shoyu to chive oil."

ママ：「うちのシェフさんたちが、ワインとのペアリングに、素晴らしいお料理を作ってくれたの。マンゴー醤油からチャイブオイルまで、全部ゼロからシェフさんたちが作ってくれたその努力、皆さんがわかって下さるといいわね。」

Sachi: "Our new brother is not going to eat the dish, isn't he? I want to eat them all."

さち：「我が家の新ちい弟は、しょのお料理、食べないでしゅよね？　わたちが全部食べたい。」

Makana: "I'm good with sharing with him. I got a little closer to him today♪"

マカナ：「ぼくは、弟くんとシェアしてもいいよ。今日は、ちょっと近づいてみた♪」
