Daddy: "Let's pack the wines for online orders. These wines are going to Georgia and California."

パパ：「オンラインオーダーのワインの梱包をしよう。これらのワインは、ジョージア州とカリフォルニア州に行くんだよ。」

Mommy: "I guess they are going to be someone's New Year's Eve celebration."

ママ：「きっと、誰かの大晦日のお祝いになるんだろうね。」

Makana: "I wonder what we get for our New Year's Celebration?"

マカナ：「ぼくたちの大晦日のお祝いは、なんだろう。」

Sachi: "I would like to get doggie champagne."

さち：「わたちは、犬のシャンペーンをいただこうかな。」

Mommy: "That means... The vintage 2022, Fresh Water from the well in the country. Maybe I can whisk to create the bubble somehow?"

ママ：「それって‥‥ 2022年物、田舎の新鮮井戸水。どうにかして泡立て器で泡を作ってみるっていう感じ？」

Practicing for the show 〜ショーに向けて練習〜

Daddy: "Ken. Let's practice how to stand beautifully for the show. OK?"

パパ：「ケン。ショーに向けて、キレイに立つ練習をしよう。いい？」

Ken: "OK."

ケン：「はい。」

Daddy: "Move one back leg a little behind the other one, and the front legs are together. Keep your ears stand and stretch your neck now."

パパ：「後ろ足の一本は、もう一本より後ろに。前足は一緒にそろえて。耳は立てて。今度は首を伸ばして。」

Ken: "Like this?"

ケン：「こう？」

Daddy: "That's right! You are awesome!"

パパ：「そうそう！　ケンはすごいな〜！」

Mommy: "Maybe our Goldens can be trained.... Well.... Never mind."

ママ：「うちのゴールデンズもトレーニングすればきっと‥‥ あの‥‥　まあ、いいわね。」

Makana: "This is mine!"

マカナ：「これ、ぼくのっ！」

Sachi: "Wow. This reindeer has a red nose."

さち：「わあ。このトナカイしゃんのお鼻、赤い。」

Mommy: "His name is Rudolgh. This is your first Rudolph the red-nosed reindeer."

 ママ：「名前は、ルドルフっていうのよ。これ、さっちゃんの初めての”赤鼻のトナカイ”ね。」

Mommy: "Mmm? The show is still going on. Don't you want to see it?"

ママ：「んん？　番組、まだ続いてるけど。見たくないの？」

Sachi: "I'm only interested when the animals are there."

さち：「わたちが興味があるのは、動物が映ってるときだけでしゅから。」

Christmas Day　クリスマス

Sachi: "Oh, my. He is jumping over the bar."

さち：「わあ。この子、バーを飛び越えてる。」

Mommy: "He has a good agility skill, doesn't he? Would you like to do that, Sachi?"

Sachi: "Never."

Makana: "That's not yours. My sister and I got that donut from Santa Claus last year."

The shortest day of the year 〜一年で日中が一番短い日〜

 

The shortest day of the year came, and the winter has officially begun. My reaction from a booster shot got better this morning. I'm so happy to feel that the body pain is now disappearing.

一年で日中が一番短い日がやって来て、本格的に冬が始まりました。私のブースター注射への副反応も、今朝はよくなりました。体の痛みが消え始めたの感じ、とてもうれしく思っています。

My husband worked at the tasting room for me yesterday. One of our tasting room staff brought a Christmas gift for us, and the other one made a Christmas dessert. We might be a small winery in California, but we are so proud of having very thoughtful staff with us.

 昨日は、主人が私の代わりにテイスティングルームで働いてくれました。テイスティングルームスタッフの一人は私たちにクリスマスギフトを持ってきてくれて、もう一人は、クリスマスのデザートを手作りしてくれました。私たちは、カリフォルニア州の小さなワイナリーですが、私たちと共に働いてくれるとても思いやりのあるスタッフたちのことを、本当に誇りに思っています。

Mommy: "Ma-kun. Let's put your Christmas costume on. Originally this used to be Kona's. He is your big brother whom you've never met."

ママ：「マーくん。クリスマスのコスチュームを着ましょ。もともとは、これ、コナくんのだったのよ。コナくんは、マーくんが会ったことのないお兄ちゃんなの。」

Makana: "I guess brother Kona was big. I don't see anything because of the hood."

マカナ：「コナにいたん、大きかったんだね。ぼく、フードで何も見えないよ。」

Mommy: "Really?"

ママ：「そう？」

Mommy: "Then, you don't see this biscuit, do you?"

ママ：「じゃあ、このビスケットも見えないわね？」

Makana: "I can smell instead, so I can eat♪"

マカナ：「代わりににおいはするから、食べられます♪」

Sachi: "What are you doing?"

さち：「なにちてるでしゅか？」

Mr. Gardener: "Me? I'm weeding. Your parents hired me for weeding by hand. I'll do it as much as I can, so that we don't have to use the chemical much. It's all for you, dogs."

ガーデナーさん：「ぼく？　草むしりだよ。キミのご両親が、手で草むしりをするようにと、ぼくを雇ったんだ。できるだけがんばれば、あんまり化学薬品を使わなくて済むからね。キミたち犬のためなんだよ。」

Sachi: "Wow, you weeded great here. How' did you do?"

さち：「ここ、上手に草むちりちまちたね〜　どうやったでしゅか？」

Mr. Gardener: "Right? I used the special scooper. That way, I can get rid of weeds with the roots from the ground."

ガーデナーさん：「だろ？　特別なスクーパーを使ったんだ。そしたら、地面から草を根こそぎ取り除けるから。」

Sachi: "Oh, my gosh. You are a genius."

さち：「しゅごーい。天才。」

Sachi: "Please make me your apprentice!"

さち：「わたちを弟子にちてくだしゃい！」

Mr. Gardener: "When you turn 16 years old, OK?"

ガーデナーさん：「１６歳になったらね。」

Mommy: "Mmm? Ma-kun. Don't you look like a little brown-ish???"

ママ：「んん？　マーくん。なんかちょっと、茶色くない？」

Makana: "Really?"

マカナ：「そう？」

Mommy: "See? Did you roll over somewhere? You have a little dirt on you."

ママ：「ほらね？　どこかでゴロゴロしちゃった？　ちょっと汚れてるけど。」

Makana: "Mmm, I don't remember."

マカナ：「んんん、覚えてない。」

Mommy: "I know it's a little chilly, but let's wash you. You can warm up when you get in the house."

ママ：「ちょっと寒いけれど、洗いましょ。おうちの中に入ったら温まるから。」

Makana: "OK."

マカナ：「いいよ。」

Makana: "Phew, I feel clean♪"

マカナ：「ふう、きれいになった♪」

Mommy: "Oh, don't shake your body yet. I'll get the bigger towel when we go in the house."

ママ：「ああ、まだブルブルしないで。おうちに入ったら大きなタオルを持ってくるから。」

Mommy: "Oh, gosh. You are even dirtier, Sachi. Did you go in the vegetable garden again?"

ママ：「ああ、なんてこと。さっちゃんは、もっとドロドロ。また野菜畑に入っちゃった？」

Sachi: "Mmm, I don't remember. But I played with the soil and enjoyed digging."

さち：「んんん、覚えてない。でも土遊びちて、穴掘りを楽ちみまちた。」

Mommy: "It means you were in the vegetable garden."

ママ：「ということは、野菜畑にいたのね。」

In the cold weather 〜寒い気候の中〜

 

(Beep, beep, beep　ピー、ピー、ピー）

Makana: "Gosh, it surprised me."

マカナ：「おお、びっくりした〜」

Sachi: "The backdoor opened. That means daddy is taking trash out."

さち：「バックドアが開いた。ということは、パパがゴミ出しちてる。」

Makana: "As usual, mommy is not helping him because she is holding dinner on her lap.... Mm?"

マカナ：「いつものように、ママがパパを手伝わないのは、おひざに晩ごはんを抱えてるから‥‥ んん？」

Sachi: "She is not holding anything."

さち：「なーんにも抱えてない。」

Mommy: "Well, we have leftover-pizza at home. We don't need to buy more food that we cannot eat."

ママ：「だって、おうちに残り物のピザがあるんだもん。食べきれない食べ物を買う必要はないの。」

Sachi: "But you still don't help daddy?"

さち：「でも、やっぱりパパを手伝わないでしゅか？」

Mommy: "My great husband said he doesn't need to get a help.❤︎"

ママ：「ママの素晴らしい旦那様が、手伝いは必要ないよって言ってくれたから❤︎」

Ken had a little pain on his back legs yesterday. We talked with the breeder. He said it was because he stayed in the stable in the cold weather, and his blood didn't circulate much. After doing some exercise, he started to run better. The freezing cold weather last week affected a lot to everyone. 

昨日ケンは、後ろ足に少し痛みがありました。ブリーダーさんに相談したところ、寒い気候のなか馬小屋にいて、血の循環があまりなかったからだと言われました。しばらく運動したところ、ちゃんと走り始めました。先週の身も縮むような寒い気候は、みんなに影響を及ぼしたようです。
