Mommy: "The plants of watermelon and cantaloupe which were growing indoors are now planted in the vegetable bed outside. I hope they grow well. Please don't eat them, OK?"

ママ：「インドアで育っていたスイカとカンタロープ（という種類のメロン）の苗、お外の畑に植えた。ちゃんと育ってくれるといいな。苗、食べないでよ。」

Makana: "I won't. I'm interested in tomatoes here now."

マカナ：「食べないよ。ぼく、今、ここのトマトに興味があるから。」

Mommy: "Please don't have interest in those tomatoes."

ママ：「そのトマトに興味を持たないで。」

Mommy: "Oh, you were back in the house already."

ママ：「あら、さっちゃんは、もうおうちに戻ってきてたのね。」

Sachi: "Yes. Because I'm smart, I will be back to the garden when they have fruit of melons."

さち：「うん。わたちは、賢いでしゅからね、メロンの実がなったときに、畑に戻るんでしゅよ。」

Daddy: "Let's have quick lunch at In-N-Out."

パパ：「In-N-Outで、ささっとランチを食べよう。」

Mommy: "OK. We need to go back to work soon."

ママ：「うん。私たち、すぐ仕事に戻らなきゃいけないものね。」

A few hours later　数時間後

 Sachi: "You were out for a long time."

さち：「ママたち、長い時間出かけてまちたね。」

Makana: "I'm glad you are home. I felt a little burden to babysit Sachi."

マカナ：「帰ってきてくれてよかったよ。さっちゃんのベビーシッターは、ちょっと荷が重いんだもん。」

Sachi: "What do you mean? I'm always a good girl."

さち：「どういう意味でしゅか？　わたちは、いっつもいい子にちてるのに。」

Mommy: "OK, OK. You both are always good doggies. The fence has started to be built at the new restaurant & the tasting room today. I was excited."

ママ：「わかった、わかった。ふたりとも、いつもお利口さんよね。今日は、新しいレストラン＆テイスティングルームに、フェンスが建てられ始めたの。ワクワクするわね〜」

Sachi: "These eggs smell like chickens."

さち：「この卵、にわとりしゃんのにおいがしゅる。」

Mommy: "I just picked them up this morning."

ママ：「今朝、とりたてだからね。」

Makana: "Then, let's taste a little bit. (lick)"

マカナ：「じゃあ、ちょっと味見を。（ペロッ）」

Mommy: "No, no. These are not for you. I just wanted to show you."

ママ：「ダメ、ダメ。これは、マーくんのじゃないから。ちょっと見せたかっただけ。」

A humid day 〜蒸し暑い日〜

 

Mommy: "Oh, you are here."

ママ：「あ、さっちゃん、ここにいたのね。」

Sachi: "Yes, because it's so humid today. I needed the cool floor to lie down."

さち：「うん。今日は、蒸し暑いでしゅから。横になるのに、ひんやりちた床が必要だったんでしゅよ。」

Mommy: "I see. By the way, do you know where Ma-kun is?"

ママ：「なるほど。ところで、マーくんはどこにいるか知ってる？」

Sachi: "I think he collapses on the cool floor somewhere."

さち：「どこかのひんやりちた床で、倒れてると思いましゅよ。」

Mommy: "You are right. He is in the bathroom."

ママ：「あら、ホント。バスルームにいた。」

Makana: "Zzzz...."

マカナ：「Zzzz....」

Mommy: "Daddy said there was a thunder storm forecast yesterday. We didn't have it after all, but it's so humid. No wonder I got so much sweat from farm work."

ママ：「昨日天気予報では、雷になるってパパが言ってたわね。結局は雷にならなかったけど、とっても湿度が高い。ファームワークでいっぱい汗をかくはずだわ。」

Sachi got rechecked at the vet. 〜さち、お医者さんのところで再診〜

 

Sachi: "(sniff, sniff) This place is..."

さち：「（クンクン）この場所って‥‥」

Daddy: "Oh, did you notice? You are going to see the vet again for recheck your paws and ears after a foxtail problem."

パパ：「あ、気づいた？　またお医者さんに会うんだよ。フォックステールの問題があったから、足と耳の再診をするんだ。」

Sachi: "What!? Noooo!!!!"

さち：「えっ！？　やだーーーーっ！！！」

Sachi: "Huh, huh... I'm going to hide behind you."

さち：「はあ、はあ‥‥ わたち、ママの後ろに隠れましゅから。」

Mommy: "You don't need to be scared of anything."

ママ：「何にも怖がることはないのに。」

Sachi: "Oh course, I do. Look at that silver table. They are trying to cook me there."

さち：「何言ってるんでしゅか。見て、あのシルバーのテーブル。あしょこで、わたちを調理しゅる気でしゅよ。」

Mommy: "What!? That's not true."

ママ：「えっ！？　そんなわけないでしょ。」

Daddy: "You are actually impressive, because you with a big body are trying to fit yourself on the narrow bench like this."

パパ：「というより、さちはすごいよ。だって、大きな体のさちが、こんな狭いベンチに乗ってようとしているんだから。」

Sachi: "Are you saying I'm chubby?"

さち：「わたちのこと、太ってるって言ってる？」

Makana: "I don't want it. I'm not enthusiastic about even dog food."

マカナ：「ぼくは、いやだ。ドッグフードにだってワクワクしないのに。」

Mommy: "It doesn't mean you can eat only biscuits."

ママ：「だからって、ビスケットだけ食べればいいっていうもんじゃないのよ。」

ママ：「マーくん、廊下でゴロゴロしてるの？」

Makana: "Yes, because there is no space over there."

マカナ：「だって、あっち側にはスペースがないんだもの。」

Sachi: "That's right. So many boxes are here."

さち：「しょうでしゅよ。ここ、箱でいっぱい。」

Mommy: "Sorry..."

ママ：「ごめんね‥‥」 

Mommy: "Our new tasting room and the restaurant are not ready yet. The space just got painted. Many things for the tasting room and the restaurant are now in the house."

ママ：「新しいテイスティングルームとレストラン、まだ準備ができてないのよ。まだペンキが塗られたばかりでね。今テイスティングルームとレストラン用のものがたくさん、おうちの中にあるから。」

Sachi: "Boo."

さち：「ブー」

Mommy: "Please don't get upset. Well, you don't look like you are upset since your tail is moving up & down again."

ママ：「怒らないで。まあ、しっぽがパタパタしてるから、怒っているようには見えないけどね。」

Sachi: "This... I cannot control for some reason."

さち：「これは‥‥ なんでか、自分でコントロールできないでしゅから。」

Mommy: "Sorry. We were invited to a surprise party tonight. You are going to be good at home, aren't you?"

ママ：「ごめんね。今夜、サプライズパーティにお呼ばれされたから。きちんとお留守番してられる？」

Sachi: "I don't want to be away from mommy & daddy, but I guess it's going to be fun to surprise celebrate someone for their special occasion."

さち：「パパとママから離れるのはイヤでしゅけど、きっと、しょの人の特別な機会にサプライズでお祝いしゅるのは、楽ちいことなんでしゅよね。」

Mommy: "That's right."

ママ：「その通り。」

Mommy: "Especially, turning 60 years old is a big thing. I hope he has a great fun tonight."

ママ：「特に、60歳になるのは、大きなことだもの。今夜は、たくさん楽しんでくれるといいな。」

ケン：「うん。ぼく、成熟した大人の馬に育ってるから。」

Daddy: "I hope your mentality grows maturely, too."

パパ：「精神的にも成熟してくれるといいんだけどな。」

Daddy: "What about this? It's the wine color."

パパ：「これなんてどうかな？　ワインカラーなんだけど。」

Mommy: "I think it's great. Ken is getting the new necklace♪"

ママ：「いいと思うわ。ケンくんの新しいネックレスね♪」

Makana: "I'm jealous. I haven't got a new necklace for a long time. Thinking of it, this necklace is my sister Ehime's hand-me-down."

マカナ：「いいな〜　ぼく、長いこと新しいネックレスなんてもらってないよ。考えてみれば、このネックレスだってえひめねえのお下がりだし。」

Mommy: "Speaking of Ehime, June 19th is Ehime's birthday. If she was alive, she would be 12 years old. Happy Birthday, Ehime."

ママ：「ひめたんと言えば、6月19日は、ひめたんのお誕生日。生きていたら、12歳だったわね。ひめたん、お誕生日おめでとう。」
