Appliances have arrived♪ 〜家電製品がやって来た♪〜

Daddy: "Honey, that's a range hood. It's going to be in place above the stove."

パパ：「ママ、あれはレンジフッドだよ。コンロの上に装着されるんだ。」

Mommy: "It looks big! Did we really buy that?"

ママ：「大きいね〜　本当にあれ、私たちが買ったもの？」

Ehime: "Is that OK leaving workers at home and going for a walk?"

えひめ：「作業員しゃんたちをおうちに残ちて、お散歩に行っても大丈夫でしゅか？」

Mommy: "No problem. They are going to be at home for a while."

ママ：「大丈夫よ。作業員さんたち、しばらくおうちにいるだろうしね。」

Chicken A: "Let me get up there, too."

にわとりさんA：「私もそこに登らせて。」

Chicken B: "Sorry. This space is only for two."

にわとりB：「ごめんなさい。このスペース、二人用なの。」

Mommy: "Treat tour. Please come this way. After eating corn, please eat the weeds here♪"

ママ：「おやつツアーですよ〜　こっちに来てくださ〜い。とうもろこしを食べたら、ここの雑草も食べてくださいね〜♪」

Chicken C: "Corn was tasty."

にわとりC：「とうもろこし、おいしかったわね〜」

Chicken D: "Phew, I'm full."

にわとりD：「ふう、私、おなかいっぱい。」

Mommy: "What? Are you going back home already?"

ママ：「えっ？もうおうちに帰るの？」

Worker: "This is a big fridge. Don't hurt the door."

作業員さん：「これは大きな冷蔵庫だからね。ドアを傷つけないように。」

Kahlua: "Wow, that's huge."

カルア：「わあ、大きい。」

Ehime: "What's in it?"

えひめ：「中になにが入ってるでしゅか？」

Kona: "Salmon? (wagging the tail)"

コナ：「サーモン？（しっぽフリフリ）」

Worker: "The bottom is OK. Let's set this in."

作業員さん：「下もOK。さあ、設置しよう。」

Daddy: "You can put six pots on this stove. What do you cook?"

パパ：「このコンロ、おなべが６つ置けるね。ママ、どんなお料理を作るの？」

Mommy: "Well, rice♪"

ママ：「えっとね、ごはん♪」

We had six people working around the house this morning. In the afternoon, more people came!

今朝、家では６人の作業員さんが働いてくれていました。午後、さらに人がやって来ます！

Kahlua: "Some people are outside."

カルア：「お外に何人かいます。」

Ehime: "Daddy is there, too."

えひめ：「パパもいましゅよ。」

Ehime: "Who are they?"

えひめ：「誰が来たでしゅかね〜」

They were roof-fixing people. Since we got a new stove and and a range hood, our general contractor sent those people to check if everything is OK on the roof.

それは、屋根を直す人たちでした。家に新しいコンロやレンジフッドが入ったので、屋根に問題がないかを確かめるために、私たちのジェネラルコントラクターが、この人たちに見てもらうように頼んだのでした。

Ehime: "Mommy, I'm a little scared. I hear the noise from the ceiling."

えひめ：「ママ、わたち、ちょっとこわい。天井から音がしゅる。」

Mommy: "You don't need to be scared. They are just checking the roof."

ママ：「怖がらなくても大丈夫よ。屋根をチェックしてくれているだけだから。」

Kahlua: "Then, do you want to play soccer with this ball?" 

カルア：「じゃあ、このボールでサッカーでもする？」

Kona: "I prefer the peeling a ball game."

コナ：「ぼくは、ボールの皮むきゲームがいいな〜」

Ehime: "I want the treat-eating game."

えひめ：「わたち、おやつを食べようゲームがいい。」

Some go, some come. 〜逝く者、来る者〜

Mommy: "Everyone, follow me. This is the tour to get treats♪"

ママ：「みなさ〜ん、ついてきてくださ〜い。おやつのツアーはこちらですよ〜♪」

Chickens: "OK♪"

にわとりさんたち：「は〜い♪」

Mommy: "When you finish eating corn, please eat the weeds here."

ママ：「とうもろこしを食べ終わったら、こっちに来て雑草も食べてね〜」

Well, they didn't eat weeds because they didn't want to go too far from the chicken coop. So I pulled some of the weeds and put them in their chicken coop.

えっと、にわとりさんたちは、雑草を食べに来てくれませんでした。にわとり小屋からあまり遠くに行きたくなかったようです。それで、雑草をいくつか抜いて、にわとり小屋に入れてみました。

Chicken A: "Wow, more food here♪"

にわとりA：「わあ、こんなところにも食べ物がある♪」

Chicken B: "Yeah! Can we eat?"

にわとりB：「ホント！食べてもいいのかしら？」

Chicken C: "Look what I found❤︎"

にわとりC：「見て。こんなの見つけちゃった❤︎」

Mommy: "Good for you. (Eat, please.)

ママ：「よかったね〜　（はい、食べて。）」

Happy news! In our neighborhood, some new baby sheep were born. 

ハッピーニュースです！ご近所で、羊の赤ちゃんがが何頭か生まれました。

Daddy: "Ahhh! Look, honey! Baby sheep!"

パパ：「あああ！ママ、見て！羊の赤ちゃんだ！」

Mommy: "Kyaaaa! So cuuuuuuute! Welcome to this world♪"

ママ：「きゃあああああ！かわいい〜〜〜〜！この世界へようこそ♪」

Mommy: "Mommy is licking the baby."

ママ：「お母さんが赤ちゃんをなめてる〜」

Daddy: "That baby is learning how to get milk."

パパ：「あの赤ちゃん、ミルクのもらい方を習ってるんだよ。」

Mommy: "Mmm? I've seen this before..."

ママ：「ん？確か前にもこういうのを見たことがあるような‥‥」

Kona: "He he♪"

コナ：「えへへ♪」

That's right. Ehime wanted to get milk from Kona, a male dog when she was a puppy...

そうです。えひめがパピーだったとき、（一応）男のコナからミルクをもらおうとしていたんです‥‥

At home　おうち

Kona: "Something smells good here."

コナ：「なんかここからいいにおいがする。」

Ehime: "Please show me."

えひめ：「見せてくだしゃい。」

At 4:00pm　午後４時

Kona: "It's time to go for an afternoon walk."

コナ：「午後のお散歩に行く時間です。」

Ehime: "That's right."

えひめ：「しょうでしゅよ。」

Kahlua: "I can take a nap a little more."

カルア：「ぼくは、もうちょっとお昼寝しててもいいけど。」

Mommy: "There is Cheer. Hello♪"

ママ：「あっ、チアだ。こんにちわ〜♪」

Ehime: "Mommy, there is a new cow over there."

えひめ：「ママ、あしょこに新ちい牛しゃんがいましゅよ。」

If you are a stock rising farmer, you can't avoid this day. It looks like that Happy, a big male cow was shipped. And they got a new cow to raise on their property. 

畜産農家を営む者であれば、この日を避けることはできません。大きなオスの牛のハッピーは、どうやら出荷されたようです。そしてこの敷地で育てるために、新しい牛がやってきました。

Mommy: "Nice to meet you, Happy the second. We are your neighbor."

ママ：「はじめまして、ハッピー二世。私たち、ご近所さんよ。」

Mommy: "Let's go home, Ehime."

ママ：「さあひめたん、おうちに帰ろうね。」

Ehime: "OK."

えひめ：「あい。」

Kitchen & the answer from the quiz! 〜キッチン、そしてクイズの答えで す！〜

Chicken A: "We are losing the grass around here."

にわとりA：「このあたり、草がなくなってきたわね。」

Chicken B: "Because we eat."

にわとりB：「私たちが食べるからよ。」

Chicken A: "Why don't we walk further today?"

にわとりA：「今日はちょっと遠出してみない？」

Chicken B: "Don't go too far. Dogs might come out."

にわとりB：「あんまり遠くに行っちゃダメよ。犬が出てくるかもしれないから。」

It's been about one month and a half since we started the kitchen renovation. Today, we got the granite counter top! 

キッチンのリフォームが始まってから、約１ヶ月半が経ちました。今日は、granite（みかげ石）のカウンタートップが入りました！

Kona: "When the kitchen renovation is done, will Chloe visit me?"

コナ：「キッチンのリフォームが終わったら、クロエ、ぼくのところに遊びに来てくれるかな？」

Mommy: "Of course, she will."

ママ：「もちろん、来てくれるよ。」

Ehime: "What are these wood for?"

えひめ：「この木、なに用でしゅか？」

Mommy: "I'm not sure."

ママ：「さあ、なんだろね〜」

Mommy: "Look, everyone. The stove & the oven is going to be in the middle of this area. Mmm? Where are you, doggies?"

ママ：「みんな、見て。ここの真ん中に、コンロやオーブンが入るのよ。ん？あれ？みんなどこ？」

Ehime: "Just a second. I'm busy finding a good rock now."

えひめ：「ちょっと待ってくだしゃい。いま、いい石を見つけるのに忙ちいでしゅから。」

Kona: "I'm busy grazing."

コナ：「ぼくは、放牧で忙しいので。」

Mommy: "What a small space you found."

ママ：「またえらく小さな放牧で。」

Kona: "The water is tasty, isn't it, Ehime?"

コナ：「ひめたん、お水、おいしいね。」

Ehime: "Yes, it is."

えひめ：「うん、おいちい。」

Mommy: "Why are you drinking from the one bowl together?"

ママ：「どうしてわざわざひとつのボールから一緒に飲んでいるのかしら？」

Mommy: "It's interesting to see how they smooth the granite."

ママ：「granite（みかげ石）、こうやってスムーズにするのね〜」

We saw a few interesting things when we went out for lunch.

ランチに出かけたとき、おもしろいものを見かけました。

Daddy: "Look, honey. Who's driving that truck?"

パパ：「ママ、見てごらん。あのトラック、誰が運転してる？」

Mommy: "Ahaha! A dog! And there is another dog sitting right next to him. It's a beautiful day for a couple to going for a drive♪"

ママ：「あはは！犬！となりに座っているのも犬よね。まあ、カップルにとっては、ドライブに出かけるのにいい日和だものね♪」

Mommy: "Look, darling. It's a bluebird of happiness!"

ママ：「パパ、見て。幸せの青い鳥よ！」

Daddy: "Oh, yeah! You should share the photo with everyone."

パパ：「あ、ホントだ！この写真は、みなさんとシェアしなきゃね。」

In the evening, all the counter tops were set in place.

夕方、すべてのカウンタートップがあるべき場所に収まりました。

Daddy: "I'm so happy♪" 

パパ：「うれしいな〜♪」

When we saw this property for the first time last summer, that was our impression because of California drought. Also, I guess my husband is thinking our Goldens are running the business. Is that true???

昨日のクイズへのコメント、本当にありがとうございます！正解は‥‥　Aのクラぶどう園です！クラはハワイ語でゴールデンという意味。昨年の夏、この土地を初めて見たとき、カリフォルニア州の干ばつでここはゴールデン色だと思ったのが最初の印象でした。そして、主人は我が家のゴールデンズがビジネスを経営してると思っているふしがあります。そうなのかな？？？
