Serene: "I'm going to eat♪"

セリーン：「いただきます♪」

Mommy: "Oh. You are going to accept my love, aren't you?"

ママ：「あら。セリーンくん、私の愛を受け入れてくれるのね。」

Mommy: "I guess you don't, Sunny."

ママ：「サニーちゃんはダメなのね。」

Sunny: "......"

サニー：「‥‥」

Mommy: "By the way, it's amazing that the wheat is growing naturally around the hay stack. This is 'Farm to feeder', isn't it?"

ママ：「それにしても、干草のまわりで自然に麦が生えてくるなんて、すごいわね〜　これって、ファーム・トゥ・フィーダー、だわね。」

Sachi: "What's naturally growing? Biscuits?"

さち：「何が自然に生えてくるでしゅか？　ビスケット？」

Makana: "I can eat biscuits that were made of duck."

マカナ：「ダックでできたビスケットなら、ぼく、食べられる。」

Mommy: "Well, this is actually wine."

ママ：「いや、これはワインだけどね。」

Being washed weekly 〜週に一度、洗われる〜

 

Makana: "Phew, we got washed again."

マカナ：「ふう、また洗われた。」

Mommy: "It was good, right? We have nice warm weather today. It must feel great being washed with the water."

ママ：「よかったでしょう？　今日は暖かくていいお天気だからね。お水で洗われるの、きっと気持ちいいでしょうね。」

Makana: "By the hose water outside, you mean."

マカナ：「お外でホースのお水で、だけど。」

Mommy: "But that was good, right? And it looks like you are getting used to it, Sachi."

ママ：「でも、よかったでしょう？　それに、さっちゃんも、慣れてきたみたいだし。」

Sachi: "I guess. But I prefer to get towel-dried."

さち：「しょうかも。でも、タオルドライしゃれる方が好きでしゅけど。」

Mommy: "I know. You dry yourself even on my clothes."

ママ：「知ってる。さっちゃん、ママの服でも自分を乾かそうとするし。」

Mommy: "The gardener is working in the backyard now. I know you two might want to be in the sun, but let's stay inside of the house for now."

ママ：「ガーデナーさんが今、裏庭でお仕事してくれてるからね。太陽のもとに行きたいとは思うけど、今はおうちの中にいましょうね。」

Makana: "OK."

マカナ：「はい。」

Sachi: "OK."

さち：「はい。」

Wine-tasting at the local fancy winery 〜地元の極上ワイナリーでのワインテイスティング〜

 

My husband well-planned for our 19th wedding anniversary. He took a day off from his computer work, and made a reservation at the local fancy winery to go out for lunch.

私たちの19年目の結婚記念日のために、主人はよく計画してくれました。コンピューターの仕事から1日休日を取り、ランチに出かけるために、地元の極上ワイナリーでの予約を取ってくれました。

Did you know you can order lunch at some wineries? We ordered one salad and one scallop dish while we were wine-tasting. These scallops were amazing! We sell grapes to this winery. Knowing our grapes are used in their delicious wine makes us so proud of ourselves. All their wines we tasted were really delicious.

ワイナリーによっては、ランチをオーダーできること、ご存知でしょうか。私たちは、ワインテイスティングをしている間、サラダとホタテのお料理をひとつずつ注文しました。このホタテは、素晴らしかったです！　私たちは、ここのワイナリーにぶどうを売っています。自分たちのぶどうが、ここのおいしいワインに使われると思うと、鼻が高いです。テイスティングしたすべてのワインは、本当においしかったです。

Sachi: "Which grapes are we selling to that winery?"

さち：「しょのワイナリーには、どのぶどうを売ってるでしゅか？」

Makana: "Petite Sirah, isn't it?"

マカナ：「ペティートシラーでしょ？」

Mommy: "How did you know?"

マカナ：「なんで知ってるの？」

Becoming bigger and bigger 〜どんどん大きくなって〜

Mommy: "It's so nice to see the vines are finally growing."

ママ：「ようやくぶどうの木が育ってきてくれて、本当によかったわ〜」

Mommy: "They are going to grow more this week. I saw the weather forecast, and it says over 80F every day."

ママ：「今週は、もっとツルが伸びるわね。天気予報を見たけれど、毎日摂氏26℃以上になるって言うから。」

Makana: "Speaking of growing, you grew so much, Sachi. You take more space than I do. Can you move over a little bit?"

マカナ：「育つと言えば、さっちゃん、よく育ったよね〜　ぼくよりもっとスペース取ってるし。 ちょっと向こうに寄ってくれない？」

Mommy: "No, I can't."

ママ：「ムリでしゅよ。」

Sachi: "I've got to watch the car behind us. What is if that car crashes into our car?"

さち：「後ろの車を見張ってなきゃいけないでしゅから。あの車がうちの車に衝突ちたら、どうしゅるんでしゅか。」

Makana: "What!? I don't think that would happen."

マカナ：「えっ！？　そんなことは、起こらないと思うけど。」

All about eggs 〜卵ばかり〜

 

Daddy: "Honey. Come and look."

パパ：「ママ。ちょっと来て見て。」

Mommy: "What. What!? Eggs inside of the utility car?"

ママ：「なに。えっ！？　ユーティリティーカーの中に卵？」

Daddy: "Yes. I opened the backside of the utility car to fill the gas in, and found these eggs. What should we do with these?"

パパ：「うん。ガソリンを入れるのに、ユーティリティーカーの後ろを開けたんだ。そしたらこの卵があって。これ、どうする？」

Mommy: "What beautiful blue eggs in the well-built nest. I don't know if we cam move eggs safely."

ママ：「またよくできた巣にきれいな青い卵ね〜　安全に卵を移動させられるかわからないわよ。」

Daddy: "I think I'm going to leave eggs like this and use the pickup truck for now instead of the utility car."

パパ：「このまま卵を残しておいて、今のところは、ユーティリティーカーの代わりにピックアップトラックを使うか。」

Mommy: "Speaking of eggs, our chickens laid many eggs last night."

ママ：「卵と言えば、うちのにわとりさんたち、昨夜たくさん卵を産んだのよ。」

Makana: "See. Daddy & mommy talk about only eggs today. Sachi, you are a girl. Can you lay eggs somehow?"

マカナ：「ほら〜　パパとママ、今日は卵のことばっかり話してる。さっちゃん、女の子でしょ。なんとか卵を産んでくれない？」　

Sachi: "What!? Eggs from me? Hmm... I guess I can try."

さち：「えっ？　わたちから卵？　うーんと‥‥ やってみるかな。」

Mommy: "Try? How?"

ママ：「やってみる？　どうやって？」

Getting ready breakfast & dinner at the same time 〜朝ごはん＆晩ごはんを同時に準備〜

 

Mommy: "Pouring breakfast into the bowls and packing dinner with supplements in the plastic bags. Dental bones for today are also packed."

ママ：「朝ごはんはボールに入れたし、晩ごはんはサプリメントと一緒にプラスチックバッグに入れた、と。デンタルボーンも詰めたわね。」

Sachi: "Please don't forget turkey & veggie onigiri for toppings for dinner."

さち：「晩ごはんのトッピング用のターキー＆お野菜のおにぎりも忘れないでくだしゃいよ。」

Mommy: "That's in the freezer. I'll take it out when we leave to the tasting room."

ママ：「それは冷凍庫に入ってるから。テイスティングルームに行くときに取り出すわね。」

Mommy: "I topped with some mozzarella cheese on their breakfast. I think I'm ready to serve."

ママ：「朝ごはんにモッツァレラチーズをトッピングしたし、準備完了だわね。」

Sachi: "If you think so, please serve."

Sachi：「しょう思うなら、早く出ちてくだしゃいよ。」

Makana: "You have enough photos by now."

マカナ：「もう十分写真は撮ったんじゃないかな。」

A sleepy season 〜眠くなる季節〜

 

Mommy: "Oh, my. Serene & Sunny must be feeling good after grazing around. They look like they want to take a nap hearing the water that I'm filling in the water trough."

ママ：「わあ、セリーンくんとサニーちゃん、放牧で草を食べて、きっと気分がいいのね。私が水桶に入れているお水の音を聞きながら、お昼寝したいみたい。」

Serene: "......"

セリーン：「‥‥」

Sunny: "Zzzz...."

サニー：「Zzzz....」

Mommy: "And, thank you for eggs, chickens. I really feel spring now."

ママ：「それから、にわとりさんたち、卵をありがとね。本当に、春っていう感じがするわ〜」

Chickens: "You're welcome."

にわとり：「どういたしまして。」

Makana: "I kind of started to feel sleepy. I did wrestling with Sachi in the backyard."

マカナ：「ぼく、なんか眠くなってきた。さっちゃんと裏庭でレスリングしたし。」

Sachi: "It was fun. But I kind of want to take a nap, too."

さち：「楽ちかったでしゅよね。わたちも、お昼寝ちたいかも。」

Mommy: "Spring is a sleepy season, isn't it?"

ママ：「春って、眠くなる季節なのよね〜」

A growing season 〜育ち盛りの季節〜

 

Mommy: "It was a long and cold winter. I'm so happy to see the grape vines are finally growing."

ママ：「長くて寒い冬だったからね。ようやくぶどうの木が育ってるのが見られて、とってもうれしいわ。」

Mommy: "Oh! These are growing the parts that will become flowers, too. Spring is a growing season, isn't it?"

ママ：「あら！　これなんて、お花になる部分も育ってる。春って、育ち盛りの季節ね〜」

Sachi: "That's right. It's a growing season. I need to eat a lot and sleep a lot especially."

さち：「しょのとおり。育ち盛りの季節でしゅからね。たくしゃん多べてたくしゃん寝なきゃ。」

Mommy: "Can you pick up toys on the floor first, Sachi?"

ママ：「さっちゃん。先に、床のおもちゃを片付けてくれない？」

A car wash is a monster. 〜洗車は魔物〜

Daddy: "This is going to be Sachi's first experience."

パパ：「これは、さちの初体験になるな。」

Mommy: "Yes, it is."

ママ：「なるね〜」

Sachi: "Oh, surprised. Someone sprayed something on our car."

さち：「おお、びっくりちた〜　だれかが、車になんかスプレーちた。」

Daddy: "It's the soap."

パパ：「ソープだよ。」

Sachi: "Gosh, what a sound! Our car is going to be eaten by an evil..."

さち：「わあ、なんて音！　車が、邪悪なものに食べられていく‥‥」

Daddy: "It's a car wash."

パパ：「洗車だよ。」

Makana: "I think Sachi is right. We must be going in the stomach of the monster. Because..."

マカナ：「さっちゃんが正しいと思う。きっとぼくたち、魔物のおなかの中に入っていってるんだよ。だって‥‥」

Makana: "I see the purple around us..."

マカナ：「まわりにパープルが見えるもん‥‥」

Daddy: "Then, I guess the monster didn't like us."

パパ：「じゃあ、パパたち、モンスターに嫌われたらしいな。」

Makana: "?"

マカナ：「？」

Daddy: "It looks like we are coming out from its stomach."

パパ：「おなかから出されるみたいだよ。」

Makana: "Ohhhh! Did we win!?"

マカナ：「おおおお！　ぼくたちが勝ったの！？」

Sachi: "I don't like riding a car anyway."

さち：「どっちにちても、わたち、車に乗るの、やだ。」
