Ehime: "Well, Ma-kun is practicing to roar for Halloween."

えひめ：「えっと、マーくんは、ハロウィーンに向けて、吠える練習をちてるんでしゅよ。」

Makana: "(munching)"

マカナ：「（ムシャムシャ）」

Ehime: "Ahhhh. You don't need to practice to feast, Ma-kun."

えひめ：「あああ。ごちそうを食べる練習をしゅる必要はないんでしゅよ、マーくん。」

After the shower 〜シャワーのあと〜

Mommy: "Are you drying yourself there, Ma-kun?"

ママ：「そこで体を乾かしてるの、マーくん？」

Makana: "Yes. I didn't run around after the shower, so I'm staying here close to the sunlight."

マカナ：「うん。シャワーのあと、走り回らなかったからね。太陽の光の近くのこの場所にいるの。」

Ehime: "I'm going to stay here and take a nap."

えひめ：「わたちはここにいて、お昼寝ちてましゅから。」

Mommy: "OK. Please don't catch a cold, though. I can't use the hair dryer since you hate it so much."

ママ：「わかった。でも風邪はひかないでよね。ひめたんはヘアドライヤーが大嫌いだから、使えないもの。」

Printed photos are great, aren't they? 〜印刷した写真っていいね〜

Makana: "Why did you put up photos on the sign?"

マカナ：「なんで看板に写真を貼ったの？」

Mommy: "Because our tasting room is in downtown. People don't get to see what we do on the vineyard and how we make wine. So we printed photos and and put them up. Then they can see."

ママ：「だって、うちのテイスティングルームはダウンタウンにあるからね。みなさん、ママたちがぶどう園でどんなことをしているか、どうやってワインを作っているか見る機会がないの。だからね、写真をプリントアウトして貼り出したのよ。そしたらみなさん、見れるでしょ。」

Makana: "But... there is no signature of us."

マカナ：「でも‥‥　ぼくたちのサインがない。」

Mommy: "What!? Do we need that?"

ママ：「えっ！？　それって必要？」

Mommy: "Mmm... Something like this? It's a little challenging to write letters at the bottom of the sign."

ママ：「んん‥‥　こんな感じ？　看板の下の方に文字を書くって、ちょっと大変ね。」

Makana: "That looks good. I approve it."

マカナ：「いいんじゃない？　承認します。」

Mommy: "What?"

ママ：「え？」

Ehime: "I'm getting hungry."

えひめ：「わたち、おなかしゅいてきた。」

Makana: "Isn't it our biscuit time?"

マカナ：「ビスケットの時間じゃない？」

Mommy: "That's true. I brought you two to the tasting room this morning, since daddy is not at home. But let's go home now and eat a little treat. Our tasting room is not open today."

ママ：「そうだわね。パパがおうちにいないから、今朝はふたりをテイスティングルームに連れてきちゃったけれど、そろそろおうちに帰っておやつを食べようっか。今日は、テイスティングルームを開ける日じゃないものね。」

After the rain storm left... 〜嵐が去ったあと‥‥〜

After the rain storm, we found out that the small chicken coop was blown away. No chicks were in it, so no one got hurt. But I'm sure it was scary for chickens hearing all the sound from outside.

嵐のあと、小さい方のにわとり小屋が飛ばされていることに気づきました。中にはひよこはいなかったので、誰もケガなどはしませんでした。でもきっと外から聞こえる音は、にわとりたちにとって怖かったことでしょうね。

Chicken A: "I'm glad we were safe."

にわとりA：「私たち、安全でよかったわ〜」

Chicken B: "Let's enjoy pecking the ground now."

にわとりB：「さあ、地面をツンツンするの、楽しみましょ。」

At night　夜

Daddy: "Let's pack wines to ship. Our club members on the East Coast are waiting for our wine."

パパ：「シッピングするワインの梱包をしよう。東海岸のクラブメンバーさんたちが、うちのワインを待ってるから。」

Mommy: "Let's do it."

ママ：「そうしましょ。」

Makana: "Did you pack the newest issue of newsletter and a little gift, too?"

マカナ：「ニュースレターの最新号とギフトもちゃんと入れた？」

Mommy: "Yes, we did, supervisor."

ママ：「はい、入れました、スーパーバイザー。」

First rain storm of the season 〜シーズン初の嵐〜

Daddy: "Go, Hana!"

パパ：「ハナ、行けー！」

Hana: "OK, daddy!"

ハナ：「はい、パパ！」

Hana: "I can do more! Yaaaaaaaa!!!!"

ハナ：「私、もっとできる！　やああああああ！！！！」

Mommy: "Are you OK, Hana? Are you sure you are pregnant?"

ママ：「ハナちゃん、大丈夫？　本当に妊娠してる？」

We were lucky we had a chance to take Hana out Sunday morning, because the rain has started in the afternoon and became the rain storm at night. One of our patio chair was upside down when we woke up this morning. It looks like we lost power during night as well (again). 

日曜日の朝、ハナをお外に出すことができてラッキーでした。なぜなら午後から雨が降り始め、夜には嵐になったからです。今朝起きた時には、我が家のパティオのいすがひとつ、逆さまになっていました。夜の間、（また）停電にもなったようです。

Makana: "Rain?"

マカナ：「雨？」

Ehime: "I don't like the rain, but I need to go chi-chi."

えひめ：「わたち、雨は好きじゃないでしゅけど、チッチしなきゃいけないでしゅから。」

Mommy: "You were born in Las Vegas. I know you are not a fan of the rain and the cold weather."

ママ：「ひめたんは、ラスベガス生まれだからね。雨とか寒いお天気とか、好きじゃないのよね。」

Ehime: "I want to go in the house now."

えひめ：「わたち、もうおうちに入る。」

Mommy: "OK. Come on it. Let's dry you out with the towel."

ママ：「いいよ、入って。さあ、タオルで乾かしましょうね。」

Makana: "Wait, wait! I'm still going chi-chi!"

マカナ：「待って、待って！　ぼく、まだチッチしてるの〜！」

Mommy: "I would like to take an advantage of this rain and sit for a little while this morning. I've been physically tired from work these days."

ママ：「この雨を利用して、今朝はちょっと座らせてもらおうかな。最近、お仕事で身体的に疲れてるから。」

A busy day 〜忙しい日〜

 

Makana: "Oh, me? I'm playing by myself here because it's a busy day for mommy & daddy today."

マカナ：「あ、ぼく？　ぼくはね、今日パパとママにとって忙しい日だから、ここでひとりで遊んでるの。」

Ehime: "I'm going to take a nap."

えひめ：「わたちは、お昼寝ちましゅからね〜」

Daddy: "I'm going to bring the heater to the tasting room now."

パパ：「ぼくは、テイスティングルームまでヒーターを運ぶから。」

Mommy: "OK. I'm going to make 50 individual charcuterie plates."

ママ：「わかった。私は、おひとり様用シャキューテリを50個作るわね。」

Whether you are asleep or awake... 〜寝ても覚めても‥‥〜

Ehime: "Mommy, I'm hungry."

えひめ：「ママ〜、わたち、おなかしゅいた〜」

Makana: "When can we get dinner?"

マカナ：「ぼくたちの晩ごはん、いつもらえる？」

Mommy: "Sorry for making you wait. But we've been so busy for harvesting grapes in the vineyard, and entertaining people in the tasting room. Tomorrow is our first Pickup Party at the tasting rom since 2019. We just hope everything goes well."

ママ：「お待たせしちゃってごめんね。でも、ぶどう園ではぶどうの収穫、テイスティングルームではみなさまのおもてなしと、忙しくしてたのよ。明日は、2019年以来の初ピックアップパーティだからね。色々うまくいくといいけれど。」

Weekly event with Goldens 〜ゴールデンズとの毎週の行事〜

Mommy: "Ahhh, Ehime. Don't rub yourself on the ground. I just washed you."

ママ：「あああ、ひめたん。地面にこすりつけないで。洗ったばっかりなんだから。」

Ehime: "Mmm."

えひめ：「んんん。」

Ehime: "Then, how should I get dry? My body is wet."

えひめ：「じゃあ、どうやって体を乾かせばいいんでしゅか？　体が濡れてるのに。」

Mommy: "Well..."

ママ：「それは‥‥」

Makana: "Sister, you can't bother mommy that much. If you want to get dry, you do like this."

マカナ：「ねえたん、そんなにママを困らせたらダメだよ。体を乾かしたいなら、こうするの。」

Mommy: "?"

ママ：「？」

(Makana shakes.)

（ブルルルルルル）

Mommy: "Ahhh! I'll get wet now!"

ママ：「あああ！　ママが濡れちゃう！」

Makana: "Umm... Nothing has fallen down from the counter yet."

マカナ：「あの‥‥　まだカウンターから何も落ちてきてないの。」

Mommy: "I don't think anything is going to fall down."

ママ：「何も落ちてこないと思うよ。」

Mommy: "It looks like your daddy is having a good time frosting the lemon cake."

ママ：「パパ、レモンケーキのフロスティングを楽しそうにしているし。」

Daddy: "♪♪♪"

パパ：「♪♪♪」

Daddy: "Done! I put candles on. Let's celebrate your birthday, honey."

パパ：「できた！キャンドルを乗せた、と。さあ、ママのお誕生日祝いをしよう。」

Makana: "One, two three... There are five candles on the cake. Do you count 10 for one?"

マカナ：「１、２、３‥‥　ケーキの上にキャンドルが５本。一本で10を数えるってこと？」

Mommy: "Umm... One more year to go to become 50."

ママ：「あの‥‥　50になるまであと1年あるもん。」

Lemon cake for mommy's birthday Part 1 〜ママのお誕生日にレモンケーキ パート１〜

Last Monday　先週の月曜日

Daddy: "It was mommy's birthday yesterday, but we were working in the tasting room. Let's make the lemon cake that she likes today."

パパ：「昨日はママのお誕生日だったんだけど、テイスティングルームで仕事してたからね。今日は、ママの好きなレモンケーキを作ろう。」 

Makana: "Lemon is sour, right?"

マカナ：「レモンって、酸っぱいんでしょう？」

Ehime: "I think I can manage it."

えひめ：「わたちは、なんとかできると思いましゅけど。」

Mommy: "Can you tell me who you are making the cake for, darling?"

ママ：「パパ。そのケーキ、誰用に作ってる？」

Daddy: "He he. Oven, oven♪"

パパ：「えへへ。オーブン、オーブン♪」

30 minutes later　30分後

Daddy: "Done♪"

パパ：「できた〜♪」

Mommy: "The cake smells so good♪"

ママ：「とってもおいしそうな香り♪」

Makana: "If it's not sour, I think I may want to try to eat."

マカナ：「酸っぱくないなら、ぼく、食べるのチャレンジしてみようかな。」

Mommy: "What!? It's not the cake for doggie, right, darling?"

ママ：「えっ！？　パパ。それ、犬用ケーキじゃないよね？」

Ehime: "Zzzz...."

えひめ：「Zzzz....」
