Opening of the new year 〜新年の幕開け〜

"Happy New Year!"

「あけまして、おめでとうございます！」

Mommy: "Another new year has started."

ママ：「新しい年が始まったね〜」

Mommy: "January 1st. New beginning. Nothing really changed in the house. Kona & Ehime, two Goldens want to hold the same toy at the same time, and Kahlua, the Sheltie wants other dogs to chase him. Same as always."

ママ：「１月１日。新しいスタート。でもうちの中では何も変わりなく‥‥。コナとえひめ、二匹のゴールデンレトリバーが同時に同じおもちゃを持ちたがり、シェルティのカルアが ’ぼくのこと追いかけて’ とせがむ姿。いつもとまったく同じ。」

Ehime: "I watched Japanese singing show, Kohaku last night."

えひめ：「きのうの夜、わたち、日本の紅白歌合戦を見まちたよ。」

Kona: "I saw mommy and daddy ate King crab and soba noodle. Japanese people eat soba noodle at the end of the year to wish a long life."

コナ：「ぼくは、パパとママが、キングクラブっていうカニとおそばを食べるのを見たよ。日本の人は、長生きできますようにって願って、年越しそばを食べるんだって。」

Kona: "They forgot the fact I'm a seafood guy, though..."

コナ：「でもパパとママ、ぼくがシーフード大好きってことを、忘れてたみたいだけれど‥‥」

Ehime: "They forgot on purpose, I say."

えひめ：「多分、わざと忘れてたと思いましゅよ。」

Ehime: "Daddy? We did a good job on being the photo, didn't we?"

えひめ：「パパ？わたちたちの写真撮影、うまくいきまちたよね？」

Daddy: "Umm... if you say so."

パパ：「あの‥‥　ま、えひめがそう言うなら。」

Kahlua: "I couldn't stay up late."

カルア：「ぼくはそんなに遅くまで起きてられなかったけど。」

Ehime: "I fell asleep on the way to climb up the couch."

えひめ：「わたちは、ソファに乗り上がる途中で力果てまちた‥‥」

Kona: "We usually see the fireworks from upstairs, but we stayed in the house this time for daddy. He's a little sick."

コナ：「いつもなら二階から花火を見るんだけれど、今回はおうちの中にいたんだよね。パパ、ちょっと風邪気味だから。」

Ehime: "It was still beautiful. We saw fireworks on TV, and we saw the actual fireworks through the windows at the same time!"

えひめ：「でもとってもきれいでちたよ。テレビで花火を見ながら、同時に、窓の外にも実際の花火が見えまちた。」

Mommy: "Look. Osechi is almost ready. Braised Pork Belly is going to be in the empty space. I'll make sushi when daddy gets up."

ママ：「見て。もうすぐおせち料理ができるよ。空いているところには、豚の角煮が入るの。パパが起きたら、おすしを作るわね。」

Kahlua: "We hope everyone is having a happy new year."

カルア：「皆様が良い新年を迎えていますように。」

Ehime: "We love you all♥ Please watch out when the Goldens get close to you."

えひめ：「みなしゃんのこと、大好きでしゅよ〜♥　ゴールデンレトリバーが近くに来るときには、ぜひ気をつけてくだしゃいね〜」

Kona: "You are the Golden, too."

コナ：「ひめたんもゴールデンレトリバーでしょ。」
