Recent news of the vineyard 〜ぶどう園の近況〜

There are big projects going on both in the vineyard & winery right now. In our vineyard, 19-year-old Syrah vines are pulled from the ground, made the great soil by a tractor and did re-wiring for the new vines, Cabernet Franc.

現在、ぶどう園とワイナリーの両方で、大きなプロジェクトが進んでいます。私たちのぶどう園では、19歳のシラーの木を地面から引き抜き、トラクターで土を整え、カルベネフランというぶどうの木のために、新しくワイヤーを張り替えました。

While my husband and I are working for the winery, our vineyard workers start to work in the vineyard at 5:00am, and take care of the grapes. These are grapes of Cabernet Sauvignon.

主人と私がワイナリーに尽力している間、ぶどう園の作業員さんたちは朝5時にぶどう園で働き始め、ぶどうのお世話をしてくれています。このぶどうは、カルベネ・ソーヴィニヨンです。

These are grapes of Petite Sirah. Petite Sirah is one of my favorite wines, so we are very looking forward to harvesting them this year and making wine with them. The earliest release of the wine could be 2021.

これは、ペティートシラーのぶどうです。ペティートシラーは、私の大好きなワインのひとつなので、今年の収穫とワイン造りを楽しみにしています。ワインのリリースは、早くても2021年になります。

Ehime: "I wish we were the apple growers instead of grape growers."

えひめ：「うちが、ぶどう栽培者じゃなくて、りんご栽培者だとよかったのに。」

Mommy: "I think I know the answer, but why?"

ママ：「まあ、答えはわかっているけれど、どうして？」

Ehime: "Because, the farm is going to be my own buffet, all you can eat."

えひめ：「だって、ファームがわたちの食べ放題ビュッフェになりましゅから。」

Kona: "Ahaha. That's funny, Ehime."

コナ：「あはは。ひめたん、おもしろ〜い。」

Kona: "If we were the apple growers, we would be bankrupted by now."

コナ：「うちがりんご栽培者だったら、今ごろ破産してるよ。」
