2019 California Mid State Fair Part 1 〜2019年度 カリフォルニア・ミッドステイト・フェア パート１〜

At the fair, what would you enjoy the most? The rides? The fair food? My husband and I usually enjoy seeing the animals. 

フェアに行ったら、何をするのが一番好きですか？乗り物に乗ること？フェアならではな食べ物を食べること？主人と私は、動物を見ることを楽しみにしています。

We sometimes see 4H kids or FFA students with their animals at the fair. I remember one small girl who was trying to lead her big Angus cow to the stage a few years ago. Don't you think that's impressive? I never thought that I would be able to lead the big livestock animals when I was in the elementary school.

フェアで、ときどき自身の動物たちを連れた４Hの子供たちやFFA（農業クラブ連盟）の学生たちを見かけます。数年前、ステージに大きなアンガス牛を導いている一人の小さな女の子がいたことを覚えています。印象深い姿だと思いませんか？私が小学生のとき、大きな家畜動物を自分が導くことができるなんて、考えもしませんでした。

At California Mid State Fair　カリフォルニア・ミッドステイト・フェア

Mommy: "Wow! There is the big Jersey mommy here."

ママ：「わあ！ここに、大きなジャージー牛のお母さんがいるよ。」

Daddy: "She looks like she has a lot of milk there. I think they are going to demonstrate milking cows soon."

パパ：「そこ、ミルクがたくさん入っているみたいだね〜　もうすぐ、搾乳のデモンストレーションをするみたいだ。」

Daddy: "Look. There is one month old Jersey boy over there."

パパ：「見て。あそこに、生まれて１ヶ月のジャージー牛の男の子がいるよ。」

Mommy: "I wonder if his mommy is the one we just saw."

ママ：「この子のお母さん、今見たばっかりの牛かしら。」

Ehime: "The baby calf is so cute. Both Serene and Sunny were cute, too."

えひめ：「牛の赤ちゃん、とってもかわいい〜　セリーンくんもサニーちゃんもかわいかったでしゅよね。」

A lady: "The next piggy race is at 7:00pm. Are you all excited?"

女性：「次の子豚のレースは、午後7時でーす。みんな、ワクワクしてる〜？」

Daddy: "I'm getting excited♪"

パパ：「ワクワクしてきた♪」

Mommy: "It has begun! Go, go, piggies!!!"

ママ：「始まった！　ゴー、ゴー、子豚ちゃん！！！」

Kona: "Piggies can run fast actually."

コナ：「子豚さんって、実は足がはやいんだね〜」

Daddy: "They know that they can get the treats at the goal. They are very smart."

パパ：「ゴールでおやつがもらえるって知ってるからね。子豚って、実はとっても頭がいいんだよ。」

Ehime: "Well, I can run fast if I know there are apple biscuits waiting for me. He he♪"

えひめ：「えっと、わたちだって、りんごのビスケットがわたちを待ってるって知ってたら、速く走れましゅから。えへへ♪」

A goat: "Hello there. How are you?"

やぎ：「こんにちは〜　元気？」

Mommy: "Oh, look. Goats can get their heads out from the fence."

ママ：「あら、見て。やぎさんって、フェンスから頭を出せるのね〜」

Daddy: "They are cute, aren't they?"

パパ：「かわいいね〜」

Mommy: "Would you like chu-chu with me?"

ママ：「私とチュッチュする？」

A goat: "What's chu-chu?"

やぎ：「チュッチュってなに？」

Mommy: "Fu fu."

ママ：「うふふ。」
