To the good-bye trip Part 7 〜さよならの旅へ パート７〜

(Chloe's & Henry's daddy is chopping the turkey.)

ウィーン、ウィーン（クロエちゃん＆ヘンリーくんパパ、ターキーの解体）

Ehime: "Chloe, what are you doing there?"

えひめ：「クロエちゃん、しょこで何ちてるでしゅか？」

Chloe: "Oh, Ehime."

クロエちゃん：「あら、えひめちゃん。」

Chloe: "My daddy is chopping the turkey. If you stay here, you might get a good luck."

クロエちゃん：「うちのパパがね、ターキーの解体をしてるの。ここにいたら、いいことがあるかもよ。」

Ehime: "Oh, really? Then, I'll sit here."

えひめ：「しょうでしゅか？じゃあ、ここでおすわりちてようっと。」

Ms K: "We should start to stretch the dough for the blueberry pie.

Kさん：「さあ、ブルーベリーパイ用の生地を伸ばし始めましょ。」

K's boyfriend: "OK."

Kさんのボーイフレンド：「はい。」

Ms K: "Now it's your turn. Put the dough in the aluminum pie bowl."

Kさん：「さあ、あなたの番よ。アルミのパイのボールに、生地を入れて。」

K's boyfriend: "I'll do my best."

Kさんのボーイフレンド：「がんばります。」

K's boyfriend: "Yay. I did it♪"

Kさんのボーイフレンド：「やった。できた♪」

Ms K: "Good job."

Kさん：「よくできました。」

Chloe: "Daddy, I collected everyone. When can we get turkey?"

クロエちゃん：「パパ。みんなを集めたけれど、いつターキーをもらえる？」

Chloe's & Henry's daddy: "What!?"

クロエちゃん＆ヘンリーくんのパパさん：「えっ！？」

Kona: "I kind of want to stay at the corner. I just feel like it now."

コナ：「ぼくは、端っこにいようかな。今は、なんかそんな気分なんだ。」

Everyone made an effort to make the great Thanksgiving Day meal, and everything was delicious. But my memory at the table is not clear. 

みんながおいしいサンクスギビングデーの食事を作ることに努力をして、そしてすべてのお料理がおいしかったです。でもテーブルに座っていた時の私の記憶は、あまりはっきりしていません。

After the meal, I remember that Chloe's & Henry's mommy sat down right next to me and talked to me about Kahlua with tears. My husband was sitting on the other side of me. Then Mr K brought a glass of champagne. 

食事のあと、クロエちゃん＆ヘンリーくんのママさんが私のすぐ横に座り、涙をためて私にカルアの話しをされたことを覚えています。主人も私の隣りに座っていました。その時、Kさんがシャンペーンを持ってきてくれました。

One thing I remember is that Chloe's & Henry's mommy said that Kahlua chose this time to leave us. He was surrounded by everyone he loves, and also he created the situation where my husband and I didn't have to make any decision for his ending.

クロエちゃん＆ヘンリーくんのママさんが言ってくれたことで覚えていることは、「カルアくんが、私たちの元を去るのを、”この時だ”と選んだんだよ」ということです。カルアは大好きなみんなに囲まれ、また主人も私も、カルアの最後に関して決断しなくていいような状況にしてくれた、ということでした。

I probably cried a lot like my both eyes got swollen. We were busy for cooking, but it was only some hours ago since Kahlua left us.

多分私は、両目が腫れるほど、たくさん泣いたと思います。お料理を作ることに忙しくしていましたが、カルアが私たちの元を去ってから、まだ数時間しか経っていませんでした。

At night　夜

Ehime: "Chloe, is it tasty?"

えひめ：「クロエちゃん。しょれ、おいちいでしゅか？」

Chloe: "Yes, it is. You ate your dinner already, right?"

クロエちゃん：「おいしいわよ。えひめちゃんは、もう晩ごはんを食べたんでしょう？」

Ehime: "I did. But I can eat many times."

えひめ：「食べまちたよ。でもわたちは、何回でも食べられましゅから。」

Kona: "Chloe. If you want me to come over and eat with you, I can..."

コナ：「クロエが望むなら、ぼくがそばに行って一緒に食べても‥‥」

Chloe: "I ate up♪"

クロエちゃん：「食べちゃった♪」
