Mommy's struggle story Part 1 〜ママの奮闘記 パート１〜

Yesterday　昨日

Mommy: "Kona, I'm thinking to bake a French Baguette this afternoon. What do you think?"

 ママ：「コナくん。ママね、今日の午後、フレンチバゲットを焼こうと思っているんだけれど、どう思う？」

Kona: "(smile)"

コナ：「（ニコッ）」

Mommy: "Haha♪ I take it as a good idea."

ママ：「あはは♪　グッドアイディアってことね。」

Everyone has some kinds of dream when they are young, right? One of my dreams when I was 19 years old was to become a baker. Why didn't I become a baker? Well, my husband always laughs about this saying "I completely understand why you couldn't." But one time, I figured out a baker needs to wake up very early morning, and that's one thing I'm not good at! I gave up my dream because of that reason.

みなさん、若い頃は、なにかしらの夢を持っていますよね？19歳のときの私の夢のひとつは、パン屋さんになることでした。どうしてならなかったのかって？その、主人はいつも「ママがパン屋になれなかった理由、わかるわ〜」と言って笑うのですが、あるとき、パン屋さんは、朝とっても早く起きなければいけないことを知ったんです。そしてそれは、私の不得手なことのひとつなんです。そういうわけで、パン屋さんの夢はあきらめることとなりました。

Mommy: "Oh, no! They got a little flat. Is that because I put the wet towel on top of them?"

ママ：「あら、やだ！平たくなっちゃった。上に濡れタオルを乗せてたからかしら？」

Mommy: "Hmm... they got rounder in the oven, but they still look flat."

ママ：「う〜ん‥‥　オーブンの中で丸くはなったけど、まだ平たく見えるわ。」

Daddy: "Gosh! This tastes awesome! Not like the normal bread taste, but it tastes like a real French Baguette. I don't want you to change anything."

パパ：「わあ！これ、とってもおいしい！普通のパンの味じゃなくて、本物のフレンチバゲットの味がする。なにも変えることないと思うけどなあ。」

Mommy: "I like the tastes and texture. But... they just don't look like a French Baguette. How should I do that?"

ママ：「味と噛みごたえはいいと思うんだけど‥‥　フレンチバゲットっていうルックスじゃないのよね。どうすればいいかしら。」

Kona: "I'll be able to give you advice what you can do if you let me taste it."

コナ：「ぼくに味見させてくれたら、どうすればいいかアドバイスしてあげるよ。」

Ehime: "Me, too."

えひめ：「わたちも〜」

Kona: "Aaaaaaaan♪"

コナ：「あ〜〜〜〜〜ん♪」

Ehime: "(saliva)"

えひめ：「（じゅる）」

Ehime: "Aaaaaaan♪"

えひめ：「あ〜〜〜〜〜ん♪」

Kona: "One more for me, please."

コナ：「ぼくに、もうひとつお願い。」

Mommy: "What happened to the advice?"

ママ：「アドバイスはどうなったの？」

Mommy: "For dinner, oven-baked wild cod in the aluminium foil, veggie sauté with kale & celery & mini tomatoes & garlic, and slices of French Baguette."

ママ：「晩ごはんは、アルミフォイルの天然タラオーブン焼き、ケール＆セロリ＆ミニトマト＆ガーリックの野菜ソテー、それからフレンチバゲットのスライスよ。」

Daddy: "I like French Baguette the best in these."

パパ：「ぼくはこの中で、フレンチバゲットが一番好き。」

Today　今日

Mommy: "A new day has begun."

ママ：「新しい一日が始まった。」

Daddy: "Oh! French Baguette turkey sandwich for lunch. Yum♪"

パパ：「あっ！ランチ、フレンチバゲットのターキーサンドイッチだ。おいしそう♪」

Kona: "You know, Ehime? Mommy is going to bake French Baguettes again today."

コナ：「ひめたん、知ってる？ママ、今日もまたフレンチバゲットを焼くんだって。」

Ehime: "Why?"

えひめ：「なんで？」

Kona: "She really wants to make the French Baguettes rounder."

コナ：「どうしても、丸い感じのフレンチバゲットを作りたいんだって。」

Kahlua: "Oh, no. Do you remember the time when mommy made a recipe of shampoo? She made so many bottles of shampoo until she was satisfied with the recipe. I wonder how many French Baguettes she is going to bake."

カルア：「大変だ。ママがシャンプーのレシピを作ったときのこと、覚えてる？レシピに満足するまで、いったいシャンプーを何本作ったことか。フレンチバゲットは、どれくらい焼くつもりなんだろう。」

Ehime: "He he♪ One French Baguette, two French Baguette..."

えひめ：「えへへ♪　フレンチバゲットが一本、フレンチバゲットが二本‥‥」

Kona: "You are a little weird, Ehime."

コナ：「ひめたんが、ちょっと変になった。」

Mommy: "Today, I'm using saran wrap with sprinkles of bread flour while they are rising. Not the wet towel. I hope this works to keep them in shape."

ママ：「今日は、バゲットが膨れる間、強力粉を振りかけたサランラップを使うわね。濡れタオルじゃなくてね。これで、このまま格好良くいてくれるといいけど。」

Mommy: "Let's keep them under the infrared light for 30min. Then let's see if I want them to rise more or not."

ママ：「赤外線の下に、30分置こうっと。もう少し膨らませたほうがいいか、それから判断しよう。」
