Quality time after being busy and sick 〜忙しさと体調不良のあとにやってきたクオリティータイム〜

In the morning　朝

Mommy: "There is a horse! A horse is here!"

ママ：「馬よ！馬がいるよ〜！」

Kona: "...... We are going to stop by and say hi to the horse on the way back."

コナ：「‥‥　帰る途中でちょっと止まって、馬さんに挨拶しよう。」

Kahlua: "You don't want to go now? Aren't you interested in that horse much, Kona?"

カルア：「いま行かないの？コナ、あの馬にあんまり興味がないの？」

Daddy: "If Kona is not interested in the horse, I'll say hi. Hello, Mr. horse♪"

パパ：「コナに興味がないなら、パパがあいさつをしよう。馬さん、こんにちは♪」

Horse: "Hello♪"

馬：「こんにちは♪」

Kona: "Hello, hello, hello!!! I'm so interested in you, Mr. Horse!!! My name is Kona. Nice to meet you♪"

コナ：「ハロー、ハロー、ハロー！！！ぼく、馬さんにバッチリ興味あるよ！！！ぼくの名前は、コナ。よろしくね♪」

Horse: "H... Hello."

馬：「ハ‥‥　ハロー。」

Daddy: "Ahhhh, Kona!"

パパ：「ああああ、コナ！」

Daddy: "He is scared of you. Where are your manners?"

パパ：「馬が怖がってるだろう。マナーはどうしたんだ？」

Kona: "Oh, sorry. Did I scare you?"

コナ：「ああ、ごめんね。怖がらせちゃった？」

Horse: "A little."

馬：「ちょっと。」

Daddy: "Why don't you make up with him?"

パパ：「仲直りしたら？」

Kona: "Mr. Horse. Can you look at my eyes if you can?"

コナ：「馬さん。できるなら、ぼくの目を見てくれる？」

Horse: "......"

馬：「‥‥」

Kona: "I live in the country. So, I don't normally get to see many animals other than chickens, cows, cats, ground squirrels, gophers, deer, snakes, tarantulas."

コナ：「ぼくは田舎に住んでいるからね、にわとりと牛、ネコ、ジリス、ホリネズミ、シカ、へび、タランチュラ以外には、あんまり動物に会わないんだ。」

Horse: "I think you see many animals..."

馬：「たくさんの動物に会ってるんだね‥‥」

Kona: "Can you become my friend?"

コナ：「ぼくのお友達になってくれる？」

Horse: "OK. We are friends."

馬：「いいよ。ぼくたち、お友達だ。」

Our weekend normally is busy with errands. Other than taking care of animals, we go grocery shopping, go get hair cut, go buy grains & alfalfa hay for animals and fix the stuff around the house. After harvesting grapes (and recovering from migraines) this week, I wanted to have some little relaxing time with my husband. So I suggested to go on a picnic together. My husband said "Great idea. Then, let's go to the lake that we've never been!" 

私たちの週末はたいてい、用事を済ますことで終わっていきます。動物たちのお世話以外には、食料品の買い出し、ヘアカット、動物たちの穀物やアルファルファ（干し草）の買い出し、家の中にあるものの修理。今週、 ぶどうの収穫が終わったので、（そして偏頭痛からも回復したので）、私は主人に「ピクニックに行かない？」と提案しました。主人は「いい考えだ。それなら、今まで行ったことがない湖に行こう！」と言ってくれました。

Daddy: "Honey, look. There is water even during the drought in California."

パパ：「ママ、見て。干ばつのカリフォルニア州に、水があるよ。」

Mommy: "And I see some water birds, too."

ママ：「それに、水鳥もいるね〜」

Daddy: "Let's sit down on the bench over there and have a picnic."

パパ：「あそこのベンチに座って、ピクニックをしよう。」

Mommy: "Let's do it♪"

ママ：「そうしよう♪」

Mommy: "I made some salmon rolls and vegetable rolls for a picnic sushi lunch. And our dessert will be fresh grapes from our local farmer's market."

ママ：「ピクニックお寿司ランチに、サーモン巻きと野菜巻きを作ったの。デザートは、地元のファーマーズマーケットで買った新鮮なぶどうよ。」

Daddy: "Everything is delicious♪"

パパ：「全部おいしい♪」

Listening to the water that we don't normally get to hear and being hungry after eating homey lunch, we started to feel sleepy (#^_^#). We were taking a walk for a while, and found a small zoo!

普段聞かないお水を音を聞き、食べ慣れた物をランチに食べておなかがいっぱいになると、だんだん眠くなってきました(#^_^#)。しばらくお散歩していると、動物園を見つけました！

Mommy: "Oh! Real flamingos!"

ママ：「あっ！本物のフラミンゴ！」

Daddy: "Ahaha! You got used to see Flamingo Hotel in Las Vegas. This is a small zoo. Let's go in♪"

パパ：「あはは！ママは、ラスベガスのフラミンゴホテルを見慣れているからね。ここは、小さな動物園だ。入ってみよう♪」

Mommy: "I know this animal! Um.... What was the name...?"

ママ：「この動物、知ってる！えっと‥‥　名前はなんだったかしら‥‥？」

Daddy: "Let's go read the explanation on the board."

パパ：「ボードの説明を読みに行こう。」

Daddy: "There is a bird observatory. Let's go in."

パパ：「鳥の観察室がある。入ってみよう。」

Mommy: "What big eyes she has! Isn't the sunlight too bright?"

ママ：「なんて大きな目！太陽の光は、まぶしくないのかしら？」

Daddy: "Maybe she wears the sunglasses in that case."

パパ：「その場合はきっと、サングラスをかけるんだよ。」

Mommy: "What?"

ママ：「えっ？」

Mommy: "Gosh! That parrot is so noisy! If we have him in the house, he probably says 'Ehime, get down. Ehime, get down'."

ママ：「わあ、あのオウムの声、大きい！もしあのオウムがうちにいたらきっと、”えひめ、降りなさい。えひめ、降りなさい”って言うわね。」

Ehime: "Mm? I thought I just heard my name from somewhere..."

えひめ：「ん？どこからか、わたちの名前が聞こえたような‥‥」

Mommy: "I don't know what kind of animal that is, but she is so shy."

ママ：「あの動物はなんて言うのかわからないけれど、とってもシャイね。」

Daddy: "It looks like that kind of animal that lives in Africa."

パパ：「アフリカに住んでいる動物みたいだよ。」

Alpaca: "Do you have any food for me?"

アルパカ：「私が食べられる物、持ってます？」

Daddy: "No, I don't."

パパ：「持ってない。」

Alpaca: "Then, I'll eat the leaves on the ground."

アルパカ：「じゃあ、地面の葉っぱをいただきます。」

Daddy: "You eat anything."

パパ：「なんでも食べるんだなあ。」

Daddy: "I found my favorite animal! This tiger is gorgeous!"

パパ：「一番好きな動物、見つけた！このトラ、ゴージャスだなあ！」

Mommy: "You are excited like a child. Should I buy a coloring book for you?"

ママ：「パパったら、子供みたいに興奮して。塗り絵の本、買ってあげましょうか？」
