As if we are raising own children 〜子育てをするように〜

Kona: "Thank you for knitting a blanket for me."

コナ：「ぼくのために毛布を編んでくれて、ありがとう。」

Mommy: "I didn't knit that for you."

ママ：「コナくんのために編んだわけじゃないんだけど。」

All the harvests were done! But it doesn't mean we don't have anything to do. Last Saturday, we brought the sandwiches for 10 people who worked at the the facility, and checked how everything was going.

収穫は、すべて終わりました！だからと言って、もうすることがないわけではありません。先週の土曜日、私たちは施設で働く人たち10人分のサンドイッチを持って、すべて順調にいっているかどうか見に行きました。

Daddy: "Look, honey. They are now putting the fermented grapes into the machine."

パパ：「ママ、見て。発酵させたぶどうを、機械の中に入れてる。」

Mommy: "What's that for?"

ママ：「なんのために？」

Daddy: "See the machine like a drum? It divides the liquid and grapes, and only liquid comes out from the bottom. That liquid is becoming wine."

パパ：「ドラム缶のような機械があるだろう？あれが、液体とぶどうに振り分けるんだ。そして、液体だけが下から出てくる。その液体が、ワインになるんだよ。」

Mommy: "Wow, how modern."

ママ：「わあ、すごく近代的。」

Daddy: "This is our rosé. Would you like to do barrel-tasting?"

パパ：「これが、ぼくたちのロゼだよ。バレル・テイスティング（樽の中で熟成中のワインのテイスティングすること）、してみる？」

Mommy: "Yes! I would love to."

ママ：「うん！ぜひ。」

Daddy: "It's still cloudy and yeast-dominating, because this rosé went in the barrel a few days ago."

パパ：「まだ濁っているし、イーストが幅を利かせてるな。このロゼは、数日前に樽に入れたばかりだから。」

Mommy: "But it's going to the right direction that I really want."

ママ：「でも、私が絶対こうなってほしいと思う方向に行ってることは、間違いないわ。」

Daddy: "Look, honey. Liquid came out from the bottom of the machine."

パパ：「ママ、見て。機械の下から、液体が出てきたよ。」

Mommy: "Oh, yeah!"

ママ：「あら、ホント！」

Daddy: "And these are the grapes who finished their job."

パパ：「そして、これが役目を終えたぶどうたち。」

Mommy: "Thank you so much, grapes."

ママ：「ぶどうたち、ありがとうね。」

The sandwiches we brought on Saturday were made at one winery close to the facility. One of the workers said "You should try their Mac'n Cheese with meat and veggies. It's so good." So my husband and I went back to the winery again and decided to eat Mac'n Cheese for lunch on Sunday. The kitchen lady remembered us and said "Thank you so much for coming back!". She gave us free brownies as a thank-you-gift.

土曜日に私たちが持っていったサンドイッチは、施設の近くにあるワイナリーで作られたものでした。作業員さんのひとりが、「あそこの、お肉やお野菜が入ったマカロニ・アンド・チーズはお勧め。すごくおいしいんだ。」と言っていたので、主人と私は日曜日、再びそのワイナリーに行き、マカロニ・アンド・チーズをランチに頂くことにしました。キッチンの女性が私たちのことを覚えていてくださり、「また来てくれてありがとう！」と言ってくれました。そして感謝の気持ちとして、ブラウニーを無料でつけてくださいました。

We decided to buy Grenache Blanc to go with lunch, because we are making our own Grenache Blanc wine this year. After tasting that wine, my husband and I said...

ランチと一緒に、グルナッシュ・ブラン（という白ワイン）を買うことにしました。なぜなら、私たちも今年、自分たちのグルナッシュ・ブランを作るからです。そのワインのテイスティングをしたあと、主人と私の口から出たのは‥‥

Daddy: "Delicious!"

パパ：「おいしい！」

Mommy: "Delicious!"

ママ：「おいしい！」

We missed our Grenache Blanc in the barrel. So we went to the facility again and see our Grenache Blanc. It feels like we are raising our children. (haha!)

樽の中に入っている私たちのグルナッシュ・ブランが恋しくなりました。それで私たちはまた施設に行って、グルナッシュ・ブランに会ってきました。自分の子供を育てているような気持ちでしょうか。（はは！）

Mommy: "Here it is♪"

ママ：「いた♪」

On Monday　月曜日

Mommy: "Phew, we made it to the top of the hill♪ It's not bad to walk to the different direction on a morning walk from time to time, right?"

ママ：「ふう、丘の上に到着♪　ときには朝のお散歩で、別の方向に歩いてみるのも悪くないわね。」

Kona: "I wonder if Bailey and Jake are in the house."

コナ：「ベイリーくんとジェイクくん、おうちにいるかな。」

Mommy: "I'm not sure, but..."

ママ：「さあ、どうかしら。でも‥‥」

Mommy: "There are Cheer and Happy over there."

ママ：「チアちゃんとハッピーちゃんなら、あそこにいるよ。」

Kona: "Where?"

コナ：「どこ？」

Mommy: "Over there. Happy is sitting right in front of the door and Cheer is on the left."

ママ：「あそこよ。ハッピーちゃんはドアの真ん前に座っていて、チアちゃんはその左側。」

Ehime: "I think people in that house will be surprised to see it. (nom-nom)"

えひめ：「あのおうちの人たち、びっくりちましゅよね〜（モグモグ）」　

Mommy: "Why?"

ママ：「どうして？」

Ehime: "Because a big cow is sitting in front when they open the door,  (nom-nom)"

えひめ：「だって、ドアを開けたら、大きな牛しゃんが目の前に座ってるんでしゅよ。（モグモグ）」

Mommy: "What are you eating by the way?"

ママ：「ところでひめたん、なにを食べてるの？」

Mommy: "Mmm? Kahlua and Kona. What do you have in your mouth?"

ママ：「ん？カルアくん、コナくん。お口になにが入ってる？」

Kahlua: "Nosing. (nom-nom)"

カルア：「なひも。（モグモグ）」

Kona: "Nosing. (nom-nom)"

コナ：「なひも。（モグモグ）」

Ehime: "Grass in California is tasty, isn't it?"

えひめ：「カリフォルニア州の草って、おいちいでしゅね〜」

Kahlua: "Shhhhh! Don't tell the truth!"

カルア：「シーーーー！本当のことを言っちゃダメ！」

Kona: "(nom-nom)♪"

コナ：「（モグモグ）♪」

At chickens　にわとりたちのところで

Mommy: "Did anyone drop a feather?"

ママ：「だれか、羽を落とした？」

Chicken A: "It's a present for you. Maybe you can make a pen with it♪"

にわとりA：「それ、プレゼント。ペンを作れるんじゃないかしら♪」
