During the bad rain storm 〜暴風雨の中〜

 

While we were still working in the tasting room, we got an announcement that the area near our vineyard house lost power. A big rain storm hit this area.

まだテイスティングルームで仕事をしていたとき、私たちのぶどう畑の家の周辺で停電になったというアナウンスメントを受け取りました。暴風雨が、この辺りにやって来たためです。

We stayed in the tasting room until 11:00pm, and came back home since the power came back. We were soaking wet by walking with dogs for their bathroom in the bad rain, but we were safe.

私たちは午後11時までテイスティングルームで過ごし、電気が戻ったので家に帰りました。暴風雨の中犬たちのトイレのために歩いたのでずぶ濡れになりましたが、ケガもなく無事でした。

One of our neighbors had a significant damage from the tree that fell down onto their camper. It looks like no one got hurt, but they had the small fire since the tree also hit the power line. 

ご近所さんは、キャンパー（家屋のひとつ）に木が倒れ、甚大な被害を被りました。誰もケガはしていないようですが、倒れた木は電線にも触れてしまったので、それは小さな火事を起こしました。

California needs the rain, but recovering from the damage takes a lot of effort and costs a lot of money as well. But at the end, we should be happy we have our loved ones with us and we all are safe.

カリフォルニア州には雨が必要ですが、被害からのリカバリーには多大な努力が必要で、たくさんのお金もかかります。でも最後には、大好きなひとたちと一緒にいられること、そしてみんなケガもなく安全であったことを喜ぶべきだなあと思いました。
