Makana: "Do you know what a partial lunar eclipse, Sachi?"

マカナ：「さっちゃん、部分月食（イクリプス）って何か知ってる？」

Sachi: "Clips?"

さち：「クリップ？」

Makana: "Eclipse. The moon is going to be hide."

マカナ：「イクリプス（月食）。月が、隠れるんだよ。」

Sachi: "Oh, hide and seek?"

さち：「あ、かくれんぼでしゅか？」

Makana: "What? Hide and seek? Who seeks the moon?"

マカナ：「え？　かくれんぼ？　だれが月を探すの？」

Mommy: "Many people in our area. Although I couldn’t take a better photo of the lunar eclipse, I made a great memory by simply seeing it with my own eyes.

ママ：「たくさんの人たち、うちの辺りではね。ママは月食のもっといい写真を撮りたかったんだけどね〜　でも、自分の目で見られていい思い出ができたわ。」

Mommy: "This is the dish I really wanted to bring in to the restaurant for a long time. Our Osaka-style Okonomiyaki for Special."

ママ：「ずっとレストランでお出ししたかったメニュー。大阪風お好み焼き、レストランのスペシャルよ。」

Mommy: "English translation says 'Japanese savory pancake'. We are adding our 15-hour-smoked Kalua pork on top."

ママ：「英訳は、”日本のおかず系パンケーキ”って言うの。上には、自家製15時間燻製のカルアポークを乗せるのよ。」

Sachi: "......"

さち：「‥‥」

Sachi: "I think I can eat pancake and pork."

さち：「わたち、パンケーキもポークも食べられると思うんでしゅけど。」

Mommy: "Umm... If only this is for dogs."

ママ：「あの‥‥ これが、犬用だったら、ね。」

セリーン：「飲めるよ。でも今日は、水桶からお水を飲むのをエンジョイしてるの。」

Mommy: "You actually enjoy getting petted by me, don't you?"

100F today 〜今日は摂氏38℃〜

Mommy: "Oh? Are you two sunbathing here today?"

ママ：「あれ？　ふたり、今日はここで日向ぼっこ？」

Makana: "That's what we thought, but..."

マカナ：「と思ったんだけど‥‥」

Makana: "It's hot!"

マカナ：「暑い！」

Sachi: "How hot is it going to be today?"

さち：「今日は、何度くらいになるんでしゅか？」

Mommy: "Let me see."

ママ：「見てみるね。」

Mommy: "It's 85F now and the highest temperature is going to be 100F today. Let's go back in the house, and drink the water. I'm very sweaty, too."

ママ：「今は摂氏30℃で、今日の最高気温は38℃になるんだって。さあ、おうちの中に入ってお水を飲みましょ。ママも汗びっしょり。」

Grooming at home 〜おうちでグルーミング〜

 

Mommy: "Sachi's grooming day. You have a lot of hair."

ママ：「さっちゃんのグルーミングデー。さっちゃんは、毛が多いからね。」

Sachi: "I was just digging a hole."

さち：「せっかく穴掘りちてたのに。」

Mommy: "We could make a cushion with your hair."

ママ：「さっちゃんの毛で、クッションが作れそうね。」

Mommy: "For some reason, you don't get scared of the shaver in your ears. That makes the grooming easy, and I'm happy about it. Thank you, Sachi."

ママ：「なぜかさっちゃんは、お耳にシェーバーがあっても怖がらないのよね。グルーミンが楽で、ママうれしいわ。ありがとね、さっちゃん。」

Sachi: "No problem. If I'm not forced, so I'm good with it."

さち：「どういたちまちて。強制しゃれなければ、大丈夫でしゅから。」

A gecko... I mean, a lizard. 〜ゲッコー‥‥ じゃなくて、トカゲ〜

Mommy: "Oh. A gecko... I mean, a lizard is on the screen. I still say a gecko for a lizard since we lived in Hawaii."

ママ：「あ。ゲッコーが‥‥ じゃなくて、トカゲが網戸にいる。ハワイに住んでいたから、いまだにトカゲのことをゲッコーって言っちゃうのよね〜」

10 minutes later　10分後

Mommy: "Oh? She is on this screen now. Is she the same one that I saw 10 minutes ago?"

ママ：「あれ？　今度は、この網戸に。10分前に見たのと同じのかな？」

Sachi: "Oh! Where is a gecko?"

さち：「おお！　ゲッコー、どこ〜？」

Makana: "Not a gecko. A lizard, Sachi."

マカナ：「さっちゃん、ゲッコーじゃなくて、トカゲだよ。」

Mommy: "...... I guess the lizards are running away from Ma-kun & Sachi."

ママ：「‥‥‥ きっとトカゲたちは、マーくんとさっちゃんから逃げ回ってるんだろうね。」

ママ：「セリーンくん、流水を飲んでるの？」

Serene: "Yes. It's kind of exciting."

セリーン：「うん。なんかワクワクするから。」

ママ：「そう？」

Serene: "I can go up a little more. Maybe around this faucet."

セリーン：「もうちょっと上に行けるよ。この蛇口のあたりとか。」

Mommy: "Ahh! You are splashing the water on me!"

ママ：「ああ！　セリーンくん、私にお水をかけてるよ！」

Makana: "Oh, that sounds exciting. How should I do to splash the water on mommy?"

マカナ：「おお、なんかワクワクする。どうやったらママにお水をかけられる？」

Mommy: "You don't need to learn such a thing, Ma-kun."

ママ：「マーくん、そういうことは、学ばなくていいの。」

Makana: "(smile)"

マカナ：「（ニコッ）」

Mommy: "Sachi, can I talk with you now?"

ママ：「さっちゃん、今話せる？」

Sachi: "Why the sudden seriousness?"

さち：「突然改まってなんでしゅか？」

Mommy: "I just came back from my farm work, and got you inside of the house from the backyard. I realized your paws are dirty. Why is it?"

ママ：「ファームワークから帰ってきて、さっちゃんたちを裏庭からおうちの中に入れたでしょう？　で、さっちゃんの足が汚れているのに気づいたんだけど、どうして？」

Sachi: "Oh, this?"

さち：「あ、これ？」

Sachi: "I'm running a company called 'Home Builders for Golphers". I worked hard to dig a hole for local gophers today. He he♪"

さち：「わたち、”ホリネズミのためのホームビルダーズ”っていう会社を経営ちてるんでしゅよ。今日地元のホリネズミのために、穴掘りを一生懸命がんばったんでしゅよ。」

Mommy: "Umm.... You look like you are so proud of yourself."

ママ：「あの‥‥ なんか、誇らしそうね。」

Are we moving? 〜お引越し？〜

 

Sachi: "Ohhh! We are moving!"

さち：「おおお！　お引越しでしゅよ〜！！！」

Makana: "Moving? I've never heard of it."

マカナ：「お引越し？　ぼく、聞いてないよ。」

Mommy: "We are not moving. I'm just washing the patio furniture that we are taking to the tasting room to set up outside temporary. There is a big event in town this week. Our guests might want to sit on these chairs."

ママ：「お引越しは、しないよ。パティオのテーブルやイスを洗ってるだけ。一時的にお外にセッティングするのに、テイスティングルームに持っていこうと思って。今週、町で大きなイベントがあるから。お客様、これらのイスに座られるかもしれないしね。」
