Chicken A: "I'm scared..."

にわとりA：「私、怖い‥‥」

Chicken B: "Me, too. Let's hide. He is flying in the sky now."

にわとりB：「私も。隠れましょ。今、空を飛んでるわ。」

Mommy: "What are you talking about? What's flying in the sky?"

ママ：「何の話し？　何が空を飛んでるって？」

Chicken C: "That one. We are definitely not a fan of him."

にわとりC：「あれよ、あれ。私たちが、ものすごく嫌いな鳥。」

Mommy: "Oh, I see. A red-tailed hawk. They eat mammals. I understand why you are scared of him."

ママ：「ああ、なるほど。アカオノスリ（レッドテイルドホーク：タカの一種）ね。哺乳動物を食べるからね。にわとりさんたちが怖がるのもわかるわ。」

Mommy: "I see another one on the tree in our forest. I wonder if she is waiting for her husband coming back with food."

ママ：「うちの林の木の上に、もう一羽いるわ。旦那様が食べ物を持って帰ってくるのを待ってるのかしら。」

Chickens: "We don't want to be their food!"

にわとりたち：「私たち、食べ物になりたくないから！」

Mommy: "I know, I know. That's why I'm protecting you ladies here."

ママ：「わかってる。だから私がここにいて、みんなを守ってるじゃない。」

Mommy: "Oh, she flew away. Speaking of which, I heard our neighbor's ranch dogs were barking at coyotes and protecting his sheep last night. Dogs are great to protect their family, right?"

ママ：「あ、飛んでいっちゃった。そういえば、昨夜、ご近所さんの牧羊犬がコヨーテたちに吠えて、自分の羊たちを守ってたのが聞こえたわ。犬って、家族を守るものなのよね。」

Makana: "Not really. I prefer to be protected instead. I enjoy my relaxation time in the house."

マカナ：「いいや。ぼくは、守るより守られたいほうだから。おうちでゆっくりする時間が好きなんだ。」

Ehime: "Me, too. We have a big job of entertaining people at the tasting room. We should save our energy right now."

えひめ：「わたちも。わたちたちには、テイスティングルームでお客様をおもてなちしゅるっていう大きなお仕事がありましゅから。今のうちに、元気を蓄えておかなくっちゃ。」
