Vet visit in the storm 〜嵐の中、動物病院を訪問〜

The big chicken coop wasn't blown away last night! Because we fixed the roof of the coop and the shed quickly when they were coming off yesterday, we didn't get any damages after that. All chickens made it through the night. We didn't lose anyone!

昨夜、にわとり小屋は吹き飛ばされませんでした！　昨日、にわとり小屋と納屋の屋根が剥がれてきたときすぐに修理したので、そのあとダメージはありませんでした。にわとりたちも全員夜生き延びられたようで、誰も失いませんでした。

At the vet　動物病院で

Daddy: "Because of Covid 19, we can't go inside of the building. Let's call them to pick up Ehime and Makana."

パパ：「新型コロナウィルスの制限で、ぼくたちは、建物の中には入れない。電話して、えひめとマカナを迎えに来てもらおう。」

Mommy: "OK."

ママ：「はい。」

We couldn't get to see the vet in person. But the vet actually called our mobile phone and asked if there is anything we are concerned about Ehime & Makana. We told her about the things we've been worried about, and asked some questions.

お医者様に、直接会うことはできませんでした。でもお医者様が私たちのケイタイに電話してくださり、えひめとマカナのことできになることはないか尋ねてくれました。私たちは心配なことを話し、いくつか質問もしました。

There were no serious things at this moment, but the vet suggested a dental bone to Ehime and a little more cleaning of Makana's ears. I'm pretty sure that Ehime was happy to hear that. She gave them the shots that they needed after that. The receptionist called us later and we paid for today on the phone.

今のところ、深刻なことは何もありませんが、お医者様は、えひめにはデンタルボーンを、それからマカナの耳掃除をもう少しするように提案してくれました。それを聞いて、えひめはきっと喜んでいると思います。そのあとお医者様は、必要な注射をしてくれました。受付の方が電話をしてくれて、電話で今日の分の支払いをしました。

Ehime: "We finished."

えひめ：「終わりまちたよ〜」

Makana: "Phew, that was scary."

マカナ：「ふう、怖かった。」

Daddy: "Really? We heard you were excited, Makana."

パパ：「ホントに？　マカナ、ワクワクしてたそうじゃないか。」

Ehime: "I'm kind of tired."

えひめ：「なんか、わたち疲れた。」

Makana: "I'm... I don't know. Am I tired?"

マカナ：「ぼくは‥‥　わかんない。疲れたかな？」

Daddy: "I see some flooded area here and there. The river has a lot of water now."

パパ：「あちらこちらで、洪水しているところがあるみたいだ。川の水量が多いな。」

Mommy: "This area looks fine, but please drive safely. The road is quite wet."

ママ：「ここら辺は大丈夫みたいだけれど、運転、気をつけてね。道路は、かなり濡れてるから。」

Daddy: "I'm glad we didn't get any damages in the vineyard."

パパ：「ぶどう園にはダメージがなくてよかったよ。」

Mommy: "I'm sure the vines got a lot of water from the storm."

ママ：「嵐で、ぶどうの木がたくさんお水をもらったことは確かね。」
