A problem with the water 〜お水に問題〜

The water didn't come out from the faucet at the trough for cows! I tried to figure out what the problem is this time, but I just couldn't. My husband is working far away from home during the day. I tried to ask the vineyard workers if they touched the levers for water, but no workers in the vineyard spoke English. So, I called Happy's foster mommy and asked for help.

牛用水おけの蛇口から、お水が出てきませんでした！今回の問題が何なのか見つけようとしましたが、わかりませんでした。主人は日中、家から遠いところで仕事をしています。ぶどう園の作業員さんたちに、お水のレバーを触ったか尋ねようとしましたが、ぶどう園に、英語を話す作業員さんはいませんでした。それで私は、ハッピーの里親ママさんに電話をして、助けを求めました。

She came over and looked around. She said that it looks like the water pipe under the ground had a crack somewhere, and that's probably the reason the water doesn't reach to the faucet at trough. But how do we find the spot? The pipe is under the ground, and the water is not splashing to the air. I just didn't know what to do. Cows need the water!

ハッピーの里親ママさんが来て下さり、色々見回ってくれました。里親ママさんがおっしゃるには、地面の下の水道管のどこかでひび割れしたようだと、多分それが原因で、お水が水桶まで届かないのではないか、ということでした。でも、そのひび割れの場所を、どうやって見つければいいのでしょう？水道管は、地面の下です。お水は、空中に吹き出しているわけではありません。私はどうしていいかわかりませんでした。牛たちには、お水が必要です！

Happy's foster mommy came up with the idea to fill the water trough directly from the well for the house. We connected the long hoses and brought them to the fencing line. Then we moved the trough to the same area.

ハッピーの里親ママさんが、家用の井戸から直接水桶にお水を満たすアイディアを出してくれました。私たちは長いホースを繋ぎ、フェンシングラインまで持って来ました。それから、同じ場所まで水桶を移動させました。

The ground is not flat, so the trough is currently located in the funny way. But at least, we were able to put the water in the trough. This is another thing that I admire about Happy's foster mommy so much. I can't appreciate her enough.

地面は平らではないので、水桶は、現在おかしな感じで置かれています。ですが、少なくても、水桶の中にお水を入れることはできました。またこれで、私がハッピーの里親ママさんを称賛する理由が増えました。感謝しきれないくらいの気持ちがあります。

Ehime: "Do Jerseys know where the trough is? Otherwise they can't get any water, right?"

えひめ：「ジャージー牛しゃんたち、水桶がどこにあるか知ってるでしゅか？じゃないと、お水を飲めないでしゅよね？」

Mommy: "I need to lead them to the water trough this afternoon, so that they know the access to the water."

ママ：「今日の午後、お水の場所まで牛さんたちを誘導しなきゃね。そしたら、お水までのアクセスがわかってもらえるから。」

Kona: "Everyone needs to get the water. I wish we have the swimming pool and fill the water in there."

コナ：「みんなお水が必要だもんね。ぼくも、スイミングプールがあって、その中をお水でいっぱいにできるといいなあって思ってるの。」

Mommy: "Kona, that's the completely different subject."

 ママ：「コナくん、それは、まったく別のトピックだと思うけど。」
