A swarm of bees 〜蜂の群れ〜

 

Can you guess what these are? Bees! We had a swarm of bees in the backyard yesterday.

これ、なんだかわかりますか？　蜂です！　昨日、裏庭に蜂の群れが出来ました。

Before noon, I was watering the new pineapple plant, and heard buzzing behind me. There were only 10 or 15 bees at that time. 10 minutes after, the number had grown to thousands! The bees moved here and there in the backyard after that.

正午前、私は新しいパイナップルの苗にお水をあげていて、後ろにブンブンという音を聞きました。その時は、たった10匹が15匹だったんです。10分後、その数は何千となりました。その後、裏庭のあちらこちらに移動しました。

I was asking help by calling the local beekeepers group, posting the video online to get opinions from people, and getting advice from neighbors. In the evening, I finally found someone who could help us.

私は、地元の養蜂家グループに電話をかけたり、みなさんの意見を聞くためにオンラインにビデオを投稿したり、ご近所さんからアドバイスを受けたりしました。夕方、ようやく私たちを助けて下さる方が見つかりました。

She put the queen's hormone in the box and left the box near the bees. It looked like the bees liked their new home. 

その方は、箱の中に女王蜂のホルモンを入れ、蜂のそばに箱を置きました。どうやら、新しいお家を気に入ってくれたようです。

The lady couldn't find the queen at that time, but the bees started to go in the box. She left the box there for a few hours. She came back to pick up around 9:00pm, and said "I picked up all bees." The bees were transferred to the new place safely. 

その時女王蜂は見つかりませんでしたが、箱の中に蜂は入り始めました。数時間、箱はその場所に置かれ、9時ごろ持ち帰られました。助けてくださったその方は、「全員、頂きました。」と言いました。蜂は、安全に新しい場所へお引越ししました。

Sachi: "I want the vacation house, too!"

さち：「わたちも、別荘が欲ちい！」

Makana: "Don't tell me! Talk with mommy & daddy."

マカナ：「ぼくに言わないで！　パパとママに話してよ。」
