Mommy: "Look at the sunset today, darling. The sun is very red."

ママ：「パパ、今日の日の入りを見て。太陽か真っ赤っか。」

Daddy: "I see that. The sky is pretty red, too."

パパ：「ホントだ〜　空も結構赤いなあ。」

We've been thinking about our business as a winery every day. In our county, wineries & restaurants can provide only outdoor services. When the temperature goes up over 90F or the smoke from the wild fires makes the air-quality bad, no one comes to taste wine outside. How do we survive in this critical situation?

私たちは、毎日ワイナリーとしてのビジネスについて考えています。私たちの郡では、ワイナリー＆レストランは、室外でのサービスのみご提供できます。気温が32℃以上になったり、山火事の煙が空気質を悪くしたりすると、誰も室外でのワインテイスティングにはやって来ません。この危機的状況を、どのようにして乗り越えればいいのでしょう。

When you try to be successful with your business, we shouldn't think about our own profit. My husband and I have been trying to cooperate with other local businesses and doing our best to provide what people need. For example, we work with the local chefs and provide Dinner Special for two with wine (a whole bottle). And the price is only $49! 

ビジネスで成功しようと思うなら、自分の利益だけを考えるのは良くありません。主人と私は地元の他のビジネスと協力しあい、人々が求めるものをご提供できるように尽力して来ました。例えば、地元のシェフとは、二人用のディナースペシャルをワイン付き（それもボトル丸々一本！）をご提供しています。そしてお値段はなんと、たったの49ドル！

Today, I visited one flower shop to ask if they can team up with us for the holiday season. They said they are happy to do work with us! During the business talk, we came up with the great idea for Thanksgiving Day and Christmas season. We can't wait to announce it!

今日は、地元のお花屋さんを訪ね、ホリデーシーズンに向けて私たちとタッグを組まないかと、交渉して来ました。なんと答えはイエス！ビジネストークの間、サンクスギビングデーやクリスマスシーズンへの素晴らしいアイディアが出て来ました。発表させて頂くのが待ち遠しいです！

In addition to it, we've been helping out our friends to open their dream Japanese restaurant in our town. Their opening day is going to be tomorrow. And the wines that they decided to carry for this amazing opening day is only our wine! 

それに加え、私たちは、この町で自分たちの夢の日本食レストランをオープンさせようというお友達のお手伝いをして来ました。オープニングの日は、明日です。そして、この素晴らしいオープニングデーにお店に置くと決めたワインはなんと、うちのワインだけです！

My husband and I have been discussing getting more medals and scores for our current wines. Many wine competitions have been canceled or postponed this year, but we have a few more options we can still enter. We've got to make a decision soon.

主人と私は、今あるワインたちにメダルやスコアを得ることを話し合っています。今年は、大半のワインコンテストがキャンセルや延期になってしまったのですが、応募できるものはまだ少しあります。すぐに決断しなければいけません。

Mommy: "Mmm? It looks like it's your habit to have your head out like that. You do the same thing at the tasting room."

ママ：「ん？　そうやって首を出すの、マーくんの癖なのね。テイスティングルームでも同じことをやるし。」

Makana: "People like it when I do this."

マカナ：「こうやると、みんなが喜んでくれるの。」

Ehime: "I just like to use the edge of the couch as my pillow."

えひめ：「わたちは、ソファーの端っこを枕とちて使うのが好きなんでしゅよ。」

Mommy: "A senior is smarter."

ママ：「シニアは、賢いわね〜」
