Bottling Day! No.2 〜ボトリングデー！No.2 〜

In the afternoon yesterday, we bottled reds. This is our Syrah 2018, and that was the last harvest from our Estate grapes. Syrah vines were pulled off from the ground last year and we planted Cabernet Franc last year.

昨日の午後、赤ワインのボトリングをしました。これは、2018年のシラー、自社畑で採れた最後の収穫のものです。シラーのぶどうの木は昨年地面から抜かれ、カベルネフランが植えられました。

Making wine takes a lot of effort and knowledge from many people. Bottling as well. We really appreciate everyone who were there for our bottling.

ワイン造りには、たくさんの人々の努力と知識を必要とします。ボトリングも同様です。私たちのボトリングのために働いてくれた皆さまには、本当に感謝です。

This is Reserve Syrah 2016. This special wine was aged in the barrels for more than three years! We decided to use the heavier bottles for this amazing wine.

これは、リザーブのシラー2016年ものです。この特別なワインは、なんと3年以上も樽でエイジングされていました！この素晴らしいワインには、いつもより重いボトルを使うことにしました。

This is how the machine corks the bottles. Without this machine, how long would it take to bottle all the wines we had?

これは、機械がボトルにコルクを詰めるところです。この機械がなかったら、すべてのワインのボトリングをするのにどれくらいの時間がかかったことでしょう。

No matter what your nationality, if you are willing to learn and work, you should be given the right equally to work there just like everyone else. There were Mexican people, and a black man, and me as a Japanese who worked for this bottling in addition to American people.

もし学んで仕事をする意思があるなら、国籍に関係なく、他の人たちと同様に仕事を得る権利が与えられるべきです。このボトリングでは、アメリカ人の他に、メキシコ人、黒人、そして日本人の私が働いていました。

We brought some cases back to our wine cellar in the house. Loading the pickup truck as easy as you can see in the photo. But unloading had to be done by hand. My husband and I were both really exhausted at the end.

数ケースは、家のワインセラーで管理するために持って帰りました。写真にあるように、ピックアップに載せるのは簡単でした。でも、このケース全部を降ろすのはすべて手で行いました。最後には、主人も私も本当にヘトヘトでした。

We were exhausted, but excited at the same time! We can't wait to introduce our Syrahs to you in the near future.

ヘトヘトでしたが、同時にワクワクでもありました！　近い将来、このシラーたちをお披露目するのが待ち遠しいです。

Daddy: "Mommy and I are very tired tonight. How was your day, Makana?"

パパ：「パパとママは今夜、とっても疲れているんだよ。マカナの一日はどうだった？」

Makana: "I am full of energy♪"

マカナ：「ぼく、元気があふれてる〜♪」

Ehime: "No one can catch up with the energy of a Golden Retriever puppy."

えひめ：「ゴールデンレトリバーのパピーの元気には、誰もついていけないでしゅからね。」

Daddy: "I agree."

パパ：「同感。」

Makana: "I'm going to chew my bone here♪"

マカナ：「ここで、カミカミしようっと♪」

Mommy: "Good luck. I'm going to take a shower and go to bed."

ママ：「がんばってね。ママは、シャワーして寝るわ。」
