A surprise gift from my husband 〜主人からのサプライズギフト〜

Mommy: "This is a surprise gift from daddy. He secretly ordered and gave it to me today. It's a schedule book with the messages based on Twitter's Thoughts of Dog. Would you like to read?"

ママ：「これ、パパからのサプライズギフトなの。こっそりオーダーして、今日ママにくれたのよ。スケジュール帳で、ツイッターの”Thoughts of Dog"に基づいたメッセージが載ってるのよ。読んでみる？」

Makana: "Umm... I'm not good at reading yet..."

マカナ：「あの‥‥　ぼく、まだ読むのが得意じゃないんだけど‥‥」

Makana: "Can you read for me, sister?"

マカナ：「ねえたん、代わりに読んでくれる？」

Ehime: "I'm sleepy."

えひめ：「わたち、眠い。」

Mommy: "OK, OK. I'm going to read some for you."

ママ：「わかった、わかった。ママがちょっと読むわね。」

Mommy: "Good morning. The human is working from home today. But I require attention. So I'm going to sit in their lab, and randomly press buttons on their computer until they give up."

ママ：「おはよう。ぼくのおうちの人、今日は家で仕事をしています。でもぼく、かまって欲しいの。だから、お膝に座って、ダダダッとコンピュターのボタンを押すの。あきらめてくれるまで。」

Makana: "That sounds like my sister. I've seen my sister put her paw on mommy's computer and made a lot of mmmm's on her blog."

マカナ：「なんか、ねえたんみたい。ねえたんがママのコンピューターに手を置いて、ママのブログにたくさんmの文字を入れたの、見たことあるもん。」

Ehime: "I didn't do such a thing.... Did I?"

えひめ：「しょんなこと‥‥　ちたかな？」

Mommy: "We were at the store today. And I found a stuffed penguin that I really fancied. I tried to carry it out, but was stopped before the exit. I am not a criminal. I just have no money."

ママ：「今日は、お店に行きました。ぼく、とっても気に入ったペンギンのぬいぐるみを見つけて、お口にくわえたの。でもお店を出る前に止められちゃった。ぼくは、犯罪者じゃないんだよ。ただ、お金がないだけ。」

Ehime: "Right. If you can't run fast enough, you'll get caught."

えひめ：「しょうなんでしゅよね。速く走れなかったら、捕まっちゃうんでしゅよね。」

Makana: "You haven't done it before, have you?"

マカナ：「もしかして、やったことがあるなんてことはないよね？」

Mommy: "I know there's bad in the world, and it would be silly to pretend it isn't there. But for now, here's my leash and a few licks on your hand to convince you that one day, we will be alright."

ママ：「世界に悪があるってことは知ってるよ。そして、それがないことのように振る舞うのは、愚かなことだってことも。でも今はね、はい、これ、ぼくのリードと手にチュッチュ。いつか、みんな大丈夫になるよって納得してもらえるように。」

Makana: "He is talking about pretty good things. (a glance)"

マカナ：「結構いいこと言ってるなあ。（チラッ）」

Ehime: "Zzzz...."

えひめ：「Zzzz....」

Makana: "Should I study how to read?"

マカナ：「読み方、練習しようかな？」

Mommy: "Good for you."

ママ：「えらいわね。」
