A rattlesnake is out there! 〜ガラガラヘビが出た！〜

Mommy: "Please stay here!"

ママ：「ここにいてちょうだい！」

Ehime: "Why? What's going on?"

えひめ：「なに？　どうちたんでしゅか？」

Oh, my gosh. This morning, Ehime & Makana were playing in the backyard while I was taking care of chickens & cows. When I came back, I brushed them as usual and put them back in the house. Then it was the time I tried to broom in the backyard. I saw something dark at the corner. It was a rattlesnake!!!

なんてことでしょう。今朝私がにわとりたち＆牛たちのお世話をしている間、えひめとマカナは裏庭で遊んでいました。仕事から戻ってきて、いつものようにふたりのブラッシングをして、家の中に入れました。裏庭の掃き掃除をしようと思ったときです。隅っこに何か暗いものが見えました。ガラガラヘビでした！！！

I have a very scary experience with a rattlesnake a few years ago. This particular one didn't look like so active because of the chilly weather this morning, but all rattlesnakes have poison. I quickly went back inside of the house and called my husband who was working with his computer. 

数年前、私にはガラガラヘビで怖い経験をしたことがあります。今朝は寒かったこともあり、このへびはあまり元気そうではありませんでした。でも、すべてのガラガラヘビには毒があります。私はすぐに家の中に入り、コンピューターで仕事をしていた主人を呼びました。

Daddy: "Oh, yeah. This is a rattle snake. We've got to kill it. I brought a high-twig-shear to get the snake out from the corner. Watch out, honey."

パパ：「うん、これはガラガラヘビだ。殺さなければいけない。隅っこからへびを出すのに高枝バサミを持ってきたからね。ママ、気をつけて。」

Mommy: "OK."

ママ：「はい。」

Makana: "Daddy is playing outside. I want to come out, too."

マカナ：「パパがお外で遊んでる〜　ぼくも出たい。」

Mommy: "No. You'll stay there."

ママ：「ダメよ。そこにいて。」

Daddy: "It's coming out. I'm going to take it on the rocks and kill it. Move over, honey."

パパ：「出てくるぞ。石の上まで持って行って殺すから。ママ、離れて。」

Mommy: "OK."

ママ：「はい。」

Makana: "I wanted to play with daddy!"

マカナ：「ぼく、パパと遊びたかった！」

Ehime: "Phew, a puppy doesn't know anything. There was a rattlesnake in the backyard that has poison. Daddy had to deal with it to protect us. You don't want to get bitten by a rattlesnake, do you?"

えひめ：「ふう、パピーは何も知らないんでしゅね。裏庭に、毒を持っているガラガラへびがいたでしゅよ。パパはわたちたちを守るために、へびを処理ちなければいけなかったでしゅから。マーくん、ガラガラヘビに噛まれたくないでしゅよね？」

Makana: "......"

マカナ：「‥‥」

Makana: "Sister, please hold me up."

マカナ：「ねえたん、抱っこ。」

Ehime: "What!? I can't hold you up."

えひめ：「えっ！？　抱っこはムリでしゅよ。」
