Let's ask my master! 〜師匠に聞こう！〜

Happy: "I don't have an appetite this morning."

ハッピー：「私、今朝は食欲がないの。」

Serene: "Me, too."

セリーン：「ぼくも。」

Serene: "I'm tired..."

セリーン：「ぼく、疲れた‥‥」

Mommy: "What happened?"

ママ：「何があったの？」

I was a little worried about cows, since they didn't start to eat like they normally do. What do I do when I have a problem with cows? I ask my master of cows! 

いつものようにごはんを食べ始めなかったので、私は牛たちのことが少し心配でした。牛たちに問題があるとき、どうするかって？牛の師匠に聞きます！

I call her "Happy's foster mother" since she used to take care of Happy before we bought her five years ago. I told her that all cows didn't look like they are having any appetite. 

私は師匠のことを、”ハッピーの里親ママさん”と呼んでいます。なぜなら、5年前に私たちがハッピーを購入する前に、師匠がハッピーのお世話をされていたからです。私は、牛たちに食欲がないことを相談しました。

The first thing she asked me was if their bellies were swollen. It's hard to tell, because their tummies are always big. But I said no. The second thing she said was "One of two girls might be in heat." That makes sense to me! Because the only male, Serene was the one who looked most tired among three. 

最初に聞かれたのは、牛たちのおなかが腫れているかどうか、でした。牛たちのおなかはいつも大きいので、それを見極めるのは困難でしたが、私は「いいえ」と答えました。次に言われたのは、「雌牛の一頭か二頭が、ヒートなのかもしれない。」でした。それは、私にはとっても理にかなっていると思えました。なぜならたった一頭の雄牛、セリーンが、三頭の中で一番疲れていたからです。

I decided to leave them with the hay and the grain for a while and went to clean the chicken coop. When I came back to cows after that...

私は牛たちに干し草と穀物を残し、しばらく離れることにしました。そして、にわとり小屋の掃除に行きました。そのあと牛たちのところに戻ってみると‥‥

Mommy: "Oh! They are eating, aren't they?"

ママ：「あっ！食べてるんじゃない？」

(nom-nom, nom-nom)

（ムシャムシャ、ムシャムシャ）

Mommy: "I think my master of cows was right! Either Happy or Sunny is getting a heat and Serene was sensing it last night. Maybe they had a busy night."

ママ：「やっぱり師匠は正しかった！ハッピーちゃんかサニーちゃんが、ヒートを迎えるにあたり、セリーンくんが昨夜それを感じ取ってたのね。きっと忙しい夜だったんでしょうね。」

Ehime: "I've never lost my appetite in my life."

えひめ：「わたちは、犬生で一度も食欲を無くちたことはないでしゅよ。」

Mommy: "You have an iron stomach, don't you?"

ママ：「ひめたん、鉄の胃袋を持ってるもんね〜」

Mommy: "And I wonder why Ma-kun goes bathroom so many times every day."

ママ：「で、マーくんは、どうして毎日何度もトイレに行くのかしらね〜」

Makana: "(In his dream) I want to eat... I want to play... I want to go bathroom..."

マカナ：「（夢の中で）食べたい‥‥　遊びたい‥‥　トイレに行きたい‥‥」
