Interview by the local magazine 〜地元雑誌からの取材〜

Last night, a writer from the local magazine visited our tasting room and interviewed us for the next issue. He asked what background we have, how we learned about growing grapes and making wine, how we like having our tasting room in the existing location. It was fun talking about many things in our life including animals.

昨夜、地元雑誌のライターさんが私たちのテイスティングルームを訪れ、次号に載せるため、私たちのインタビューをしてくれました。私たちがどんなバックグラウンドを持っているか、ブドウ栽培やワイン造りをどうやって学んだか、現在のテイスティングルームのロケーションについてどう思っているかなど、質問されました。動物たちのことも含め、私たちの人生についてたくさん話し、楽しい時間を過ごさせてもらいました。

He also took hundreds of photos of us! We posed with the wineglass in front of the counter. He asked us to smile, but it was hard to keep smiling at the camera for a long time! When I saw the camera lens was coming close to me, I finally understand how Kona used to feel. It was scary! 

たくさんの写真も撮られました！私たちはカウンターの前で、ワイングラスを持ってポーズしました。私たちはニコッとするように言われましたが、そんな長い時間、カメラに向かってニッコリするのは難しかった！カメラのレンズが私に近寄ってきたとき、私はやっとコナの気持ちを理解しました。怖かった〜！

While he was taking photos of us, we had customers coming in for tasting wine. I was explaining about our wine on the menu and pouring the wine they like to taste. Right next to me, he clicked the camera so many times! When I noticed, my husband was standing right next to me and smiling at the camera.

写真撮影をしている間、お客様がワインテイスティングにやって来られました。私はメニューにあるワインのご説明をし、お客様がテイスティングされたいとおっしゃるワインを注ぎました。その真横で、何度もカメラのシャッターを切られたのです！気づくと、主人が私の横に立ち、カメラに向かってニッコリしていました。

Makana: "He took a lot of photos of mommy & daddy, and the tasting room. But not us."

マカナ：「パパやママ、それからテイスティングルームの写真はいっぱい撮ってたけど、ぼくたちのは撮らなかった。」

Ehime: "Just fall asleep and forget about something you don't like. I learned it works great in my last seven years."

えひめ：「好きじゃないことは、寝て忘れるのがいいでしゅよ。7年生きて、しょれがいいって学びまちたから。」

Mommy: "You talk like a legendary wizard."

ママ：「ひめたん、仙人みたいに話すのね。」
