Poached strawberries 〜ポーチドストロベリー〜

Mommy: "We are having guests here tonight. Let's poach strawberries with dried apricots and Riesling."

ママ：「今夜はお客様が来られるからね。ドライアプリコットとリースリングで、いちごをポーチしよう。」

Ehime: "What's 'poach'?"

えひめ：「”ポーチ”ってなんでしゅか？」

Kona: "It means 'cook by simmering'. Mommy is making something we dogs don't eat."

コナ：「グツグツしながら煮るってことだよ。つまりママは、ぼくたち犬が食べないものを作ってるんだ。」

Mommy: "Well, Riesling is alcohol. Maybe I should give you a little piece of fresh strawberries."

ママ：「まあ、リースリングっていうのはアルコールだからね。じゃあふたりには、いちごを小さく切ったのを生であげるかな。」 

Mommy: "Let's put a sprig of tarragon in a pot."

ママ：「さあ、タラゴンを一本お鍋に入れよう。」

Kona: "Tarragon... Sounds like a nickname of someone."

コナ：「タラゴン‥‥　誰かのニックネームみたい。」

Mommy: "Of who?"

ママ：「誰の？」

Mommy: "These strawberries are not as red as the ones in the farmer's market, but I'm hoping they get a nice color when they are poached."

ママ：「このいちごは、ファーマーズマーケットのいちごほど真っ赤じゃないけれど、ポーチされたときにいい色が出てくれるといいな。」

Ehime: "I think the white is a good color, too."

えひめ：「わたちは、白もいい色だと思いましゅけど。」
