Things we can do for this town 〜この町のために私たちができること〜

Kahlua: "I kind of feel hungry."

カルア：「なんか、おなかすいたなあ。」

Ehime: "Please give me the food, brother Kona."

えひめ：「コナにい、わたちに食べ物をくだしゃい。」

Kona: "I'm not a cow. The food doesn't come out from my mouth."

コナ：「ぼくは、牛じゃないんだよ。食べ物は、ぼくの口から出てこないんだから。」

I fed dogs at 5:00pm, and we went to the local community meeting. Our beautiful country town is trying to build a library now. If we have a library in this town, kids can go after school, girl scouts & boy scouts can use for their activity, and anybody who is looking for a paper book can use the library.

午後5時に犬たちにごはんをあげて、私たちは地元のコミュニティーミーティングに行きました。私たちの美しい田舎町は、今図書館を建てようとしています。この町に図書館があれば、子供達は放課後に行くことができるし、ガールスカウトやボーイスカウトの人たちは、自分たちのアクティビティに利用することができるし、それに、紙の本を探している人は誰でも図書館を利用することができます。

One of the local wineries let us use their space for the meeting tonight, and they served their tasty wines for free for everybody.

地元のワイナリーのひとつが、今夜のミーティングのために、場所を使わせてくれました。また、みんなにワインを無料で振舞ってくれました。

One of the local restaurants donated their delicious food for the meeting. We are so proud of our town. Everyone in this town try is a part of the town, and everyone wants to do the right things for this town.

地元のレストランのひとつは、ミーティングのためにおいしい食べ物を寄付してくれました。私たちは、自分たちの町を誇りに思っています。この町のみんなが町の一部になろうとして、みんながこの町のために正しいことをしたいと思っています。

The goal we have right now is to build the library by 2020. There are so many things to do till then, and we need to come up with the proper budget. There is no easy way out, but my husband and I are talking what we can do as a local winery in this town. We would like to leave the great facility for the next generation.

現在考えているゴールは、2020年までに図書館を建てるということです。それまでにすることはとてもたくさんあり、適切な予算も立てなければいけません。簡単な道のりではありませんが、主人も私も、この町の地元のワイナリーとして、私たちにできることを話しあっているところです。次の世代のために、素晴らしい施設を残したいと思います。
