Sunday morning　日曜日の朝

Daddy: "Ehime. I''m tangled."

パパ：「えひめ。パパ、絡まったんだけど。」

Ehime: "?"

えひめ：「？」

Ehime: "How did you get tangled?"

えひめ：「どうやって絡まったんでしゅか？」

Daddy: "You did it."

パパ：「えひめがやったんだ。」

Mommy: "Look, Kahlua. Neighbor cows are watching you."

ママ：「カルアくん、見て。ご近所さんの牛たちが、カルアくんのことを見てるよ。」

Kahlua: "They must be jealous because I can graze on the green grass, but not them."

カルア：「きっとぼくにヤキモチを焼いてるんだね。ぼくは緑の草地で放牧できるけど、牛さんたちはできないもの。」

Mommy: "They probably ate up their own green grass in the field."

ママ：「牛さんたちは、自分たちの場所の緑の草を、食べきったんだろうね。」

At noon　正午

Mommy: "Now, the wines are ready."

ママ：「さあ、ワインの用意はできた、と。」

Mommy: "Simple crostini to pair with our wines are ready, too."

ママ：「うちのワインと合うシンプルなクロスティーニの準備もできた、と。」

Ehime: "Is anyone coming over?"

えひめ：「誰か来るでしゅか？」

Kahlua: "I haven't heard about it."

カルア：「聞いてないなあ。」

Kona: "What? Is Chloe coming?"

コナ：「えっ？クロエが来る？」

Kahlua: "I don't think Chloe is drinking wine."

カルア：「クロエちゃんは、ワインを飲まないよ。」

The person who came over to our house was a wine distributor from Japan. My husband and I have been really looking forward to seeing him, because we really want to get Kula wines in the Japanese market! 

我が家にやって来てくれたのは、日本からのディストリピューターさん（卸売業者さん）でした。主人と私は、この方にお会いできることをとても楽しみにしていました。私たちは、クラのワインを日本市場で受け入れてもらいたいと思っているからです！

Before the wine-tasting, my husband took him to our vineyard and explained how we grow our grapes. We started as a grape grower before we became a winery. We have so much passion to grow the great quality grapes. I hope the distributor felt it.

ワインテイスティングの前に、主人はディストリビューターさんをぶどう園に連れていき、どうやってぶどうを育てているか説明しました。私たちはワイナリーになる前に、ぶどう栽培者として始めました。私たちには、上質のぶどうを育てたいと言う情熱があります。ディストリビューターさんが、それを感じて下さったならうれしいなあ、と思います。

Ehime: "They went out to the vineyard."

えひめ：「ぶどう園に行きまちたよ。」

Kona: "Oh, well. Let's wait for them. We have more time to entertain our guest."

コナ：「仕方がない。待とう。お客様をおもてなしする時間は、まだあるから。」

Daddy: "This is Syrah, and..."

パパ：「これがシラーで‥‥」

Daddy: "Those are Grenache Blanc."

パパ：「あれが、グルナッシュブランです。」

Daddy: "And that is our Hawaiian dog, Kona."

パパ：「そして、あれがうちのハワイアン犬、コナです。」

Kona: "Zzzz...."

コナ：「Zzzz....」

Ehime: "Brother Kona is sleeping again."

えひめ：「コナにい、また寝てる〜」

Mommy: "His speciality is he can sleep anytime.'

ママ：「いつでも眠れるのが、コナくんの得意技なのよ。」

Kahlua: "Oh, they are coming back."

カルア：「あっ、二人が戻って来るよ。」

Mommy: "I should get everything ready."

ママ：「じゃあ、準備しなきゃ。」

I think the tasting with the distributor went well. He thinks Grenache Blanc probably goes well with Japanese food. He also liked Syrah Rose. We have heard it before, but there is the one called "Rose" by taking only the upper layer in the process of making red wine. And it's probably good for the cost performance. 

ディストリビューターさんとのテイスティングは、順調に進んだと思います。ディストリビューターさんは、グルナッシュブランは多分日本食とよく合うだろうと考えておられるようです。シラーロゼも好きだとおっしゃって下さいました。以前聞いたことがあるのですが、ロゼには、赤ワインを作る過程で上澄みだけを取り、それを”ロゼ”と呼んでいるものがあるそうです。それは多分、コストパフォーマンスには良いのでしょうね。

Kula Vineyards & Winery might be the small winery, but there is one thing we are proud of. That is we we are trying to make the great quality wine. We use our Estate Syrah grapes to make Rose. That means our Rose isn't the upper layer in the process of making red wine. The distributor who visited us this time was amazing. He found more taste of the grapes in our Rose. And that was the reason he enjoyed it very much.

クラぶどう園＆ワイナリーは小さなワイナリーですが、ひとつだけ自信を持っていることがあります。それは、上質のワインを作る努力をしていることです。私たちは、ロゼを作るために、自畑のシラーのぶどうを使います。それは、赤ワインを作る過程でできた上澄みではないことを意味します。今回訪れてくれたディストリビューターさんは、すごい人でした。私たちのロゼに、ちゃんとぶどうの味を見出されたのです。そしてそれが、この方がロゼを気に入って下さった理由でした。

Kona: "Are you leaving already?"

コナ：「もう帰るの？」

Ehime: "Oh, no! We want to entertain you more!"

えひめ：「ええ、しょんな！もっとおもてなしちたい！」

Kahlua: "I wonder what kind of entertainment Ehime wants to provide."

カルア：「えひめってば、どんなおもてなしをするつもりなのだろう。」

Ehime: "Can I jump on your?"

えひめ：「ジャンプとか？」

After Ckatie's mommy opened the path to ship our wines to Japan, there were some people who purchased our wines directly from Japan. Thanks to everyone who has been supporting us, we will continue to work harder from now on.
