Fire in the fireplace 〜暖炉の火〜

Daddy: "My wife and I worked with Hana to lead her to the horse closure the other day, but we couldn't succeed. Could you show us how to do?"

パパ：「先日、うちの奥さんとぼくで、ハナを馬留めまで導こうとしたのですが、うまく行かなかったんです。やり方を見せてもらえませんか？」

Horse professional guy: "Of course. Here, Hana. Let's go."

馬のプロの男性：「もちろんです。はい、ハナ。行こう。」

Hana: "......"

ハナ：「‥‥」

Hana: "No. Because I'm scared of this place."

ハナ：「やだ。だって、この場所怖いもの。」

Horse professional guy: "I thought you would say that. But I'm a professional. I know how to treat you."

馬のプロの男性：「そう言うと思ったよ。でもぼくもプロだからね。キミの扱い方を知ってるんだ。」

Horse professional guy: "Put the rope around your back legs... and go!"

馬のプロの男性：「後ろ足の周りにロープを巻いて‥‥　さあ、行け！」

Hana: "Kyaaaa!!! I'm in!!!"

ハナ：「きゃああああ！！！入っちゃった！！！」

Hana: "Daddy, I think I'm not scared of this place anymore."

ハナ：「パパ。私、この場所のこと、もう怖くないかも。」

Daddy: "I know. You went in with me, and I saw you went in with mommy twice without hesitation. Good for you."

パパ：「そうだな。パパとも入ったし、ママとも躊躇することなく二度も入ったのを見たよ。えらいぞ。」 

It has been very cold in our area recently. We don't get snow, but the temperature goes under the freezing point! The wind started to blow at night, and it made us feel even colder. So I asked my husband to make a fire in the fireplace.

最近私たちのところでは、とても寒い日が続いています。雪は降りませんが、気温は氷点下になります！夜になり、風も吹き始め、さらに寒く感じました。それで主人に頼んで、暖炉に火を入れてもらいました。

Kona: "How long does it take to make it like Hawaiian temperature?"

コナ：「ハワイの気温のようになるには、どれくらいかかる？」

Daddy: "I just started, and the fire is still small. It takes a little while."

パパ：「今始めたばかりで、まだ火が小さいからね。もうちょっと時間がかかるよ。」

Mommy: "The fire in the fireplace is interesting. Just looking at this natural fire, my heart gets warm."

ママ：「暖炉の火って不思議よね。ただ自然の火を見ているだけで、心が温かくなるわ。」

Ehime: "I'm getting sleepy... Please let me use your hand as a pillow, daddy."

えひめ：「眠くなってきまちた‥‥　パパの手、枕に使わせてくだしゃいね。」

Daddy: "You are heavy."

パパ：「えひめ、重いな。」

Kona: "I'm getting sleepy, too. Feeling the warmth from the fire after being beaten up by cold wind is so nice."

コナ：「ぼくも眠くなってきた。冷たい風に打たれたあとで、火から暖かさを感じるのって、本当にいいよね。」

Daddy: "Branches are catching the fire."

パパ：「小枝が、火を捕えてきたぞ。」

Daddy: "Good. It looks like the fire is going well. Let me go get the bigger wood."

パパ：「よし。火がいい感じになってきた。大きめの木を取りに行ってくるよ。」

Mommy: "Thank you, darling. I can't move from here."

ママ：「パパ、ありがとね。私は、ここから動けないわ。」

Kahlua: "Zzzz...."

カルア：「Zzzz....」
