This morning　今朝

Ehime: "Are you going to the vegetable garden and chickens, mommy?"

えひめ：「ママ、野菜畑とにわとりしゃんのところに行くでしゅか？」

Mommy: "Yes. I should do outside work before it gets too hot."

ママ：「うん。暑くなる前に、お外でのお仕事を済ませようと思って。」

Kona: "See you later♪"

コナ：「いってらっしゃ〜い♪」

Mommy: "See you."

ママ：「いってきま〜す。」

Mommy: "Today's harvest. Oh, I got an idea. Our neighbor, Mr. G doesn't grow those veggies. Let's bring some to him♪"

ママ：「今日の収穫物。あっ、そうだ。ご近所のGさんは、こういうお野菜を育てていないから、いくつか持っていこうっと。」

I brought lettuce mix, some carrots, one cucumber and some fresh eggs to Mr. G. He was happy to see those. And he tried to give me some of his vegetables.

Gさんのところへ、レタスミックスと人参、きゅうり、新鮮たまごを持って行きました。Gさんは、うれしそうでした。そしてなんと、ご自身のお野菜をわけてくださったのです。

Mommy: "Oh, my gosh! Your squash plants are huge! How did you do that?"

ママ：「す、すごい！スクウォッシュがデカデカ！どうすればこうなるんですか？」

Mr. G: "I just used the cow compost here that you and I both use for the vineyard. In this area, you can harvest the vegetables until November."

Gさん：「きみたちもぼくもぶどう園に使っている牛の堆肥を、ここに使ってるだけだよ。この辺りでは、お野菜は11月くらいまで収穫できるしね。」

Mommy: "We are so spoiled by local fresh vegetables and fruits."

ママ：「地元の新鮮野菜や果物を食べさせてもらって、本当に幸せね。」

This afternoon　午後

Daddy: "Would you like to taste our grapes, honey?"

パパ：「ママ、ぼくたちのぶどう、味見してみる？」

Mommy: "Yes!"

ママ：「うん！」

Daddy: "They are increasing their sweetness with this hot weather."

パパ：「暑い日差しの中で、糖度がどんどん上がってるんだ。」

Mommy: "Oh, my! These are sweet!"

ママ：「わあ！すっごくあまい！」

Kona: "We are staying here. It's too hot to play around now."

コナ：「ぼくたちはここでじっとしてるよ。暑すぎて遊び回れないから。」

Ehime: "See you later♪"

えひめ：「いってらっしゃ〜い♪」

Kahlua: "I'm already in my dream..."

カルア：「ぼくはもう、夢の中‥‥」
