Mommy: "Two bags of dog food were delivered, but we still have some in the containers. I wonder if it's OK to leave them here for now."

ママ：「ドッグフードが二袋配達されたけど、まだコンテイナーにフードが残ってるのよね。今は、ここに置いておいて大丈夫かしら。」

Sachi: "That's perfectly fine♪ Please don't worry. I can watch it carefully. (smile)"

さち：「ぜーんぜん大丈夫でしゅよ♪　心配ちないでくだしゃい。わたちが、ちゃーんと見張ってましゅから。（ニコッ）」

Mommy: "Your smile made me even more worried for some reason."

ママ：「そのニコニコさんを見ると、なぜだかもっと心配になるわ。」

A little work for beer-making 〜ビール醸造のちょっとした仕事〜

Daddy: "On a day when the restaurant is closed, we have some work to do for beer-making."

パパ：「レストランが閉まっている日は、ビール醸造でしなきゃいけない仕事があるんだ。」

Mommy: "No problem. I have some work to do in the tasting room, too."

ママ：「大丈夫よ。私もテイスティングルームでしなきゃいけない仕事があるし。」

30 minutes later　30分後

Daddy: "Now, I've got to reduce the temperature."

パパ：「今度は、温度を下げなきゃ。」

Mommy: "I can't wait for the new beer to release."

ママ：「新しいビールのリリース、待ち遠しいわ〜」

Today　今日

Makana: "That's what you two were doing yesterday. Sachi and I were hungry for dinner when you came back at 7:00pm."

マカナ：「ママたち昨日、そんなことをしてたんだ。さっちゃんとぼく、ママたちが午後７時に帰ってきた時には、晩ごはんを食べたくておなかペコペコだったんだよ。」

Mommy: "It was a little late dinner for you. I'm sorry."

ママ：「ふたりには、ちょっと遅い晩ごはんだったわよね。ごめんね。」

Mommy: "I feel better now. Do you want to go in the house now, Sachi?"

さち：「あ、朝ごはんの時間でしゅか？」

Mommy: "I mean... breakfast for daddy."

Mommy: "Packing wine club shipment is one physical job."

Mommy: "But just imagining our club members enjoying their favorite wines is so much fun. Don't you think?"

ママ：「でも、クラブメンバーさんが大好きなワインをエンジョイされる姿を想像するのは、とっても楽しいわね。そう思わない？」

Makana: "Not really. I would like to imagine the biscuites better that I get at 12:00pm."

マカナ：「特には。ぼくは、正午にもらうビスケットを想像する方がいい。」

Mommy: "I guess you would love it."

ママ：「ま、そうだろうね。」

Something different in the vineyard 〜ぶどう畑、何かがちがう〜

Sachi: "Oh? This smell is kind of different from usual."

さち：「あれ？　このにおい、なんかいつもとちがう。」

Makana: "I agree."

マカナ：「ホントだ。」

Sachi: "Did you harvest grapes?"

さち：「ぶどうの収穫ちたんでしゅか？」

Makana: "I don't see anyone in the vineyard, though."

マカナ：「でもぶどう畑に誰もいないけど。」

Mommy: "Because we harvested grapes during the night. The grapes were already transferred to the facility."

ママ：「それは、夜の間にぶどうを収穫したからよ。ぶどうはもう、施設に輸送されたのよ。」

Makana: "That not right. I should be a supervisor for the vineyard workers."

マカナ：「それは、よくないな。ぶどう畑の作業員さんたちの監督者は、ぼくだったのに。」

Mommy: "Umm... Maybe they just wanted a supervisor to rest during the night."

ママ：「ああ‥‥ 監督者には、夜ちゃんと休んでもらいたかったんじゃないかしら。」

Mommy: "What happened? I heard your barking."

ママ：「どうしたの？　ワンワン鳴いたの、聞こえたよ。」

Makana: "Look... There is an invader."

マカナ：「見て‥‥ 侵入者がいる。」

Mommy: "An invader?"

ママ：「侵入者？」

Mommy: "Oh, tarantula! Fall, isn't it?"

ママ：「あら、タランチュラ！　秋だわね。」

Makana: "Why are you so easy-going? Doesn't it have poison?"

マカナ：「なんでそんなのん気なの？　毒があるんじゃないの？」

Mommy: "It does. But it doesn't hurt you as long as you stay away."

ママ：「あるよ。でも近寄らない限り、危害を与えられることはないのよ。」

After the lightning 〜稲妻のあと〜

 

Makana: "When we went out for Sachi's bathroom at 5:30am this morning, daddy said he saw lightning."

マカナ：「今朝５時半にさっちゃんのトイレに付き合ってお外に出たとき、パパが稲妻を見たって言ってた。」

Mommy: "I heard it, too."

ママ：「それ、ママも聞いた。」

Mommy: "Our grapes are still hanging on the vines. I hope they can be good until we harvest them."

ママ：「うちのぶどう、まだ木にぶら下がっているのよね。収穫まで、なんとか持ちこたえてくれるといいけど。」

Makana: "I hope Sachi can be good until the we go out for a walk. Otherwise she is going to run around inside of the house."

マカナ：「お散歩に行くまで、さっちゃんがなんとか持ちこたえてくれるといいけど。じゃないと、お家の中で走り回っちゃうから。」

Not going out even when the door is open 〜ドアが開いてもお外に出ない〜

Daddy: "One by one, let's put wine cases onto the pickup truck."

パパ：「ひとつずつ、ピックアップトラックにワインケースを乗せていこう。」

Mommy: "OK."

ママ：「はい。」

Daddy: "The door is open, but Makana & Sachi never try to go out when I load or unload the wine cases."

パパ：「ドアは開いてるけど、マカナとさちは、ぼくがワインケースを出し入れしているとき、外に出ようとはしないんだ。」

Mommy: "Great. They are winery dogs."

ママ：「えらいわね〜　ワイナリードッグズだものね。」

Daddy: "And we are the winery humans."

パパ：「で、ぼくたちは、ワイナリー人間。」

Mommy: "Can we say 'winery owner' instead? That sounds better."

ママ：「”ワイナリーオーナー”って言ってくれる？　そのほうが、聞こえがいいもの。」

Daddy: "It does for sure."

パパ：「確かに、そうだな。」

I guess I asked the wrong one. 〜聞く人、まちがえちゃったみたい〜

 

Mommy: "The new weekend special, Japanese chicken curry has started last weekend. Daddy & I were not sure if this curry was going to be accepted well in the country like ours, but it seems like people are enjoying it."

ママ：「新しいウィーケンドスペシャル、日本のチキンカレーが先週末に始まったのよね。パパとママ、うちのような田舎町でこのカレーが受け入れられるかわからなかったけど、気に入って下さったみたい。」

Mommy: "Maybe it'll be great for to-go orders. I think this rich but comfort tastes will be nice for winter. What do you think?"

ママ：「テイクアウトにもいいんじゃない？　このリッチだけど心地いい味わいが、冬にいいと思うんだけど。どうかな？」

Makana: "Are you talking to me? I don't know what curry is, and I can't eat chicken meat."

マカナ：「ぼくに言ってる？　ぼく、カレーがなんだか知らないし、チキンのお肉も食べられないんだけど。」

Mommy: "Oh, that's right. I guess I asked the wrong one."

ママ：「ああ、そうだった。聞く人、まちがえちゃったみたい。」

The 2/5 space 〜2/5のスペース〜

Mommy: "I asked AI to draw a picture of what happened last night, but this is not exactly right. Daddy took 1/2 of the bed space, and I took 1/2 of the bed space to start with. Then, during the night, Sachi jumped up on the bed and took 1/3 of my space. That means, I had only 2/5 of the bed space. That's not fair!"

ママ：「昨夜起こったことをAIで描いてもらったんだけど、これは、完全に正しいとは言えないわね。パパがベッドの1/2のスペースで、ママが1/2だったの。で夜中にさっちゃんがベッドに乗ってきて、ママのスペースの1/3で寝たの。つまり、ママのスペースは、ベッドの2/5しかなかったんだよ。これって不公平！」

Sachi: "Then, I think we need a Double King-size bed."

さち：「じゃあ、ダブルキングサイズのベッドが必要でしゅね。」

Mommy: "On the premise that you are jumping up on the bed during the night?"

ママ：「夜中にさっちゃんがベッドに乗ってくるっていうこと前提で？」

Mommy: "Molly visited our tasting room with her parents and grandma yesterday. Her mommy was working for us for a long time before."

ママ：「昨日モーリーちゃんが、ご両親やおばあちゃんと一緒にテイスティングルームに来てくれたの。モーリーちゃんのママさんは、以前長い間私たちのところで働いて下さってたのよね。」

Mommy: "They brought us some flowers as well. They are so pretty♪"

ママ：「お花も持って来てくれて。とってもきれい♪」

Makana: "While I was watching wine cases, did you enjoy petting someone else, and enjoy talking with one of my favorite people in the wold?"

マカナ：「ぼくがワインケースの見張り番をしている間、ママは他の子をよしよしして、ぼくが世界で一番好きな人たちのひとりとのお話しを楽しんでたの？」

Mommy: "Umm... OK. I'll make an opportunity that you can meet them again."

ママ：「あの‥‥ わかった。またマーくんがみんなに会える機会を作るわね。」

Salmon dish 〜サーモン料理〜

 

Mommy: "We are starting the new 'wine-pairing dinner special' next week. This is one of the entree dishes that the customers can choose from. Sweet Hawaiian Glazed Salmon."

ママ：「来週、”ワインペアリング・ディナースペシャル”を始めるの。これは、お客様が選べるメインディッシュのひとつ。スウィートハワイアングレイズドサーモンよ。」

Cook A: "Beautiful. I'm taking a photo of it."

料理人A：「美しい。写真を撮ろう。」

Mommy: "You made it, and you are giving compliment to yourself."

ママ：「自分で作って、自分を褒めてるのね。」

Makana: "I want to eat the salmon dish, too. Where can I get salmon?"

マカナ：「ぼくも、サーモン料理を食べたい。サーモン、どこで手に入る？」

Mommy: "At least, I know you don't get it there."

ママ：「少なくとも、そこではないわね。」
