Introducing our vegetable garden♪ 〜我が家の野菜畑を紹介♪〜

Kona: "As our Grandma requested, we are going to introduce our vegetable garden today♪"

コナ：「おばあちゃんのリクエストにお答えして、今日はぼくたちの野菜畑をご紹介します♪」

Kona: "At first, green onions. The ones you see in front were seeded last fall. The new ones are growing in the container behind."

コナ：「最初に、おネギ。前にあるおネギは、昨年の秋に種を蒔いたものなんだ。新しいのは、後ろの鉢植えで育ってるところです。」

Ehime: "Sweet onions are growing well, too."

えひめ：「スイートオニオンも、順調に育ってましゅよ〜」

Kahlua: "But we dogs can't eat onions."

カルア：「でもぼくたち犬は、玉ねぎ系は食べられなんだ。」

Kona: "Don't worry. There are some fruit plants growing, too. Strawberries were planted last month."

コナ：「大丈夫。フルーツもあるから。いちごは、先月植えたんだよね。」

Kahlua: "Blueberry plants are a little weak, but they have more flowers this year."

カルア：「ブルーベリーの木はちょっと弱ってるみたいだけど、今年はよくお花が咲いてるね〜」

Ehime: "Mmm. Strawberries and blueberries❤︎"

えひめ：「ん〜　いちごにブルーベリー❤︎」

Ehime: "Lettuces are doing well. Since they are now under the wind chime, they didn't get bothered by birds."

えひめ：「レタスは順調でしゅよね。今はウィンドチャイム（風鈴）の下に置いてあって、鳥しゃんたちに食べられないでしゅから。」

Kahlua: "Mizuna leaves (green mustard) were seeded in two big pots in February. They are now growing like crazy. I can't believe mommy and daddy are eating almost every day, but they still grow this much."

カルア：「水菜は２月に種をまいたんだよね。もうびっくりするくらい育っちゃって。パパとママ、ほぼ毎日食べてるのに、あとからドンドン育つんだ。」

Kona: "I'm not really happy about being told 'No' to eat those beautiful leaves. They are delicious."

コナ：「こういう緑のものを”食べちゃダメ”って言われるのを、ぼくはあんまりうれしく思ってないんだ。だって、おいしいんだもの。」 

Kahlua: "We have some herbs, too. These are garlic chives. You can chop them and sprinkle on top of grilled meat and veggies."

カルア：「ハーブ系もあるんだ。これは、ガーリックチャイブ。細かく切って、グリルしたお肉やお野菜の上に乗せるとおいしいんだって。」

Ehime: "From left to right on top, you can see chamomile and rosemary. Purslane (although this is not an herb) on the left bottom might grow back in summer. French thyme on the right bottom is just planted 10 days ago."

えひめ：「左上から右へ、カモミールとローズマリー。左下のスベリヒユ（ハーブじゃないけど）は、夏にまた生えてくるかもちれないでしゅね〜　右下のフレンチタイムは、10日前に植えたばっかりでしゅよ。」

Kona: "Parsley grew like a bush. And they are still growing."

コナ：「パセリは、茂みみたいになっちゃった。まだ育ってるんだよ。」

Ehime: "I want to eat parsley biscuits♪ (smile)"

えひめ：「パセリのビスケット、食べた〜い♪（ニコッ）」

Kahlua: "Radishes that were seeded about 10 days ago are growing well. Although, I've seen them growing in some strange areas. The new ones that were seeded a week ago started to have buds out today."

カルア：「10日ほど前に種をまいたラディッシュは、順調に育ってるよ。でも、変な場所から顔を出しているのもあるけどね。一週間前に種をまいた新しいラディッシュは、今日新しい葉が出始めたんだよ。」

Kona: "Carrots, too. They are so tiny. I hope they don't get washed away by the rain this weekend."

コナ：「ニンジンも。とっても小さいんだ。今週末の雨で、洗い流されなければいいんだけど。」

Ehime: "We actually have roses, too. First rose this spring has bloomed today."

えひめ：「実は、バラもあるんでしゅよね。今春初のバラの花が、今日咲きまちた。」

Kahlua: "I wonder where mommy & daddy are going to plant those orange trees."

カルア：「パパとママ、このみかんの木を、どこに植えるつもりなんだろう。」

Kona: "What do you want to eat next time when we go out to the yard, Ehime?"

コナ：「ひめたん、今度お庭に出たら、なにを食べたい？」

Ehime: "Hmm... Oh! What about organic soil?"

えひめ：「う〜んと‥‥　あっ！オーガニックの土はどうでしゅか？」
