Golden Retriever Mee-up, July 2015 〜ゴールデンレトリバー・ミートアップ 2015年7月〜

Daddy: "Wait, Ehime!"

パパ：「えひめ、待て！」

Daddy: "I captured her."

パパ：「捕まえた。」

Ehime: "I was captured."

えひめ：「捕まえられまちた。」

Kona: "Well, Ehime is still trying to escape from the crowd."

コナ：「えっと、ひめたん、やっぱりみんなのいるところから逃げようとしています。」

We came for the monthly Golden Retriever Meet-up. Ehime always gets nervous from being surrounded by many dogs. She drools and runs away from everybody. But my husband and I think that socializing is good for both doggies and humans. So we take our Goldens to the meet-up every month for a practice.

毎月実施されているゴールデンレトリバー・ミートアップにやって来ました。えひめはいつも、たくさんの犬たちに囲まれることに緊張してしまいます。よだれを垂らし、みんなから逃げ回ります。でも主人も私も、社交性を高めることは、犬にも人間にも良いことだと考えています。それで練習にと思い、毎月我が家のゴールデンズをミートアップに連れてきています。

Mommy: "You are off-leash today. Why don't you try to socialize with other dogs?"

ママ：「今日はひめたんをオフリーッシュにするからね。他の犬たちと、遊んできたら？」

Ehime: "Ha! Dog!"

えひめ：「はっ！犬！」

(The dog's tail hit Ehime's face.)

（しっぽでえひめおお顔をバシッ）

Ehime: "Ouch!"

えひめ：「いたっ！」

Mommy: "Oh, no..."

ママ：「あらら‥‥」

Ehime: "Umm... Are you nice?"

えひめ：「あの‥‥　優ちい方でしゅか？」

Kona: "Good luck, Ehime♪"

コナ：「ひめたん、がんばってね♪」

Daddy: "Mmm? She is running with that dog."

パパ：「ん？えひめ、あの犬と走り回ってる。」

Mommy: "Can we say she is socializing?"

ママ：「これ、社交してるって言えるんじゃない？」

Ehime: "It's getting fun♪"

えひめ：「楽ちくなってきまちた♪」

Daddy: "Let's hydrate you guys."

パパ：「水分補給をしよう。」

Kona: "Tasty♪"　

コナ：「おいしい♪」

Ehime: "The water doesn't come to me..."　

えひめ：「お水がわたちのところに来ない‥‥」

Mommy: "Oh! Another dog came up to Ehime."

ママ：「あっ！別の犬がひめたんのところに来たよ。」

Mommy: "They are playing..., aren't they?"

ママ：「一緒に遊んでる‥‥　でしょ？」

Daddy: "Umm... A little backing away, but I think we can say that."

パパ：「まあ‥‥　ちょっと腰が引けてるけれど、そう言えるかな。」

Daddy: "Why don't you go socialize with other dogs, Kona?"

パパ：「コナも他の犬と遊んできたら？」

Kona: "I'm happy to be here♪"

コナ：「ぼくはここで十分楽しんでるから♪」

Ehime: "Give me that branch."

えひめ：「しょの枝、わたちにくだしゃい。」

Kona: "No."

コナ：「やだ。」

Ehime: "You are stubborn today."

えひめ：「今日はガンコでしゅね〜」

Kona: "I've got to go socializing if I leave this branch."

コナ：「この枝を無くしたら、社交に行かなきゃいけないからね。」

Daddy: "Run to mommy."

パパ：「ママのところまで走って。」

Ehime: "Mommmmy♪"

えひめ：「ママ〜〜〜♪」

Ehime: "I'm here♪"

えひめ：「わたち、来たよ〜」

Kona: "Where is my branch?"

コナ：「ぼくの枝は？」

Mommy: "Look at the three-leg-Golden. She jumped in the mud and is running crazy."

ママ：「見て、あの三本足のゴールデンレトリバー。泥の中にジャンプして、走り回ってる。」

Daddy: "She is doing a great job."

パパ：「がんばってるな〜」

Ehime: "It was fun today♪"

えひめ：「今日は楽ちかったでしゅね♪」

Kona: "Yes, it was♪"

コナ：「うん、楽しかった♪」

New toys! Oceans three♪ 〜新しいおもちゃ！オーシャンズ・スリー♪〜

Kona: "What did you say now? (smile)"

コナ：「いま、なんて？（ニコッ）」

Kahlua: "Are you sure not biscuits?"

カルア：「な〜んだ。ビスケットじゃないの？」

Ehime: "Good things are always coming out from there❤︎"

えひめ：「いいものは、いつもあしょこから出てくるんでしゅよ❤︎」 

Mommy: "Ta da! New toys, Oceans three♪"

ママ：「ジャジャーン！新しいおもちゃ、オーシャンズ・スリー♪」

Kahlua: "What is that name, like a movie?"

カルア：「なに、その映画みたいな名前。」

Mommy: "Mmm, a lobster♪"

ママ：「ん〜、ロブスター♪」

Ehime: "What!? Lobster? Show me!"

えひめ：「えっ！？ロブスター？見せてくだしゃい！」

Kona: "This is a seahorse."

コナ：「こっちは、たつのおとしごか。」

Mommy: "Here you are, Kahlua."

ママ：「カルアくん、はい、どうぞ。」

Kahlua: "Thank you."

カルア：「ありがと。」

Mommy: "Umm... You look like a white cat holding a fish in your mouth."

ママ：「あの‥‥　ひめたん、白いネコがお魚をくわえているように見えるよ。」

Mommy: "Oh? Don't you want to chew a toy, Kahlua?"

ママ：「あれ？カルアくん、おもちゃをカミカミしたくないの？」

Kahlua: "I prefer biscuits."

カルア：「ぼく、ビスケットがよかったな。」

Kona: "Fish is not bad, Kahlua."

コナ：「お魚も悪くないよ、カルアくん。」

Mommy: "Where is your lobster, Kona?"

ママ：「コナくんのロブスターは？」

Ehime: "I'm eating it."

えひめ：「わたちが食べてましゅから。」

Mommy: "Oh, I see. You two exchanged the toys."

ママ：「ああ、なるほど。ふたりでおもちゃの交換をしたのね。」

Kona: "I wanted to get the lobster, actually. (chewing)"

コナ：「やっぱりぼく、ロブスターがいい。（カミカミ）」

Kona: "Oops, it got stolen."

コナ：「あっ、取られちゃった。」

Ehime: "♪♪♪"

えひめ：「♪♪♪」

Next day　次の日

Mommy: "I guess lobster tails are popular in the doggie world."

ママ：「やっぱり、ロブスターテールは、犬の世界でも人気があるのかしら。」

Fresh almond & horses 〜生アーモンドと馬〜

Mommy: "Oh, wow! Look. These almonds are changing color and some of them have cracks now."

ママ：「わあ！見て。ここのアーモンド、色が変わってきてるし、割れてるのもあるよ〜」

Daddy: "Let's pick one and break the shell now."

パパ：「一個とって、殻を割ってみよう。」 

Ehime: "Can I eat, too?"

えひめ：「わたちも食べてもいいでしゅか？」

Daddy: "No, dogs should not eat almonds."

パパ：「ダメ。犬がアーモンドを食べるのは良くないから。」

Daddy: "Very white inside."

パパ：「中は真っ白だ。」

Ehime: "Daddy, I think... I'm actually a ground squirrel. So I can eat almonds♪"

えひめ：「パパ、実はわたち‥‥　ジリスなんでしゅよ。だからアーモンド、食べられましゅから♪」

Kona: "(giggle) What a big ground squirrel."

コナ：「（クックッ）大きなジリスだな〜」 

Mommy: "How's the taste, darling?"

ママ：「パパ、お味はどう？」

Daddy: "Umm... Well... Almond taste."

パパ：「まあ‥‥　その‥‥　アーモンドの味だな。」

Ehime: "Where is the shell? That's also edible, right?"

えひめ：「殻はどこでしゅか？殻も食べられましゅよね？」

Kahlua: "Are you hungry again, Ehime?"

カルア：「えひめ、またおなかすいたの？」

Kona: "He he. I love our morning walk❤︎"

コナ：「えへへ。ぼく、朝のお散歩、大好き❤︎」

Kahlua: "Oh, Betsy! What are you doing here? Did you come and see me?"

カルア：「あっ、ベッツィちゃん！こんなところで何してるの？ぼくに会いに来てくれたの？」

Betsy: "I was chasing after Mr.G's car."

ベッツィ：「Gさんの車を追いかけてたの。」

Mr. G: "I'm so happy I bumped into you here. I have a discount BBQ lunch ticket for California Mid State Fair. Would you like to see me there for lunch today?"

Gさん：「ここで会えてよかったよ。ぼく、カリフォルニアミッドステイトフェアの割引バーベキューランチチケットを持ってるんだけどね。今日そこで一緒にランチを食べない？」

Daddy: "Yes, we will!"

パパ：「はい、食べます！」

Ehime: "Fu fu♪ I got to see Mr. G❤︎"

えひめ：「うふふ♪　Gしゃんに会えた❤︎」

California state fair started in the 1850's. There are contests for cookies, pastries, jam, quilting, wine and beer. Kids can touch small animals. Some famous artists hold a concert, like Keith Urban at night! (Of course there are a lot of rides, too.) The BBQ lunch we had was amazing! They provided us very tender & juicy pork ribs, salad, garlic bread and free drinks. After lunch, we went to see the horse show in arena.

カリフォルニアステイトフェアは、1850年代に始まりました。クッキーやペイストリー、ジャム、キルト、ワインやビールなどのコンテストがあります。子供達は小動物と触れ合うこともできます。夜にはキース・アーバンのような有名アーティストがコンサートを開きます。（もちろん、遊園地のような乗り物もたくさんあります。）私たちが頂いたバーベキューランチは素晴らしかったです！とっても柔らかくて肉汁がいっぱいのポークリブ、サラダ、ガーリックブレッド、そしてフリードリンクがありました。ランチのあとは、アリーナに馬のショーを見に行きました。

Horse A: "Are you nervous before the show?"

馬A：「ショーの前だけど、緊張する？」

Horse B: "No. I had enough training."

馬B：「大丈夫。トレーニングは十分したから。」

Man A: "Go, go, go!!!"

男性A：「ゴー、ゴー、ゴー！！！」

Man A: "Yaaaaaaaaaa!!!"

男性A：「やあああああああ！！！」

Daddy: "He is trying to rope a cow. That's what our nearest ranch is doing with their horses."

パパ：「あの人、牛にロープをかけようとしているんだ。これ、うちの近くの牧場の馬でもやってるんだよ。」

Mommy: "Amazing!"

ママ：「すごいわね〜！」
