Smoke from wildfires nearby in California 〜カリフォルニア州、近くの山火事からの煙〜

Mommy: "Oh, no. Several wildfires near this place are impacting air quality with the smoke filling the sky. Even the sun looked red this morning."

ママ：「あら、いやだ。この近くで発生したいくつかの山火事のせいで、煙が空を覆い尽くし、空気質を悪くしているわ。」

Daddy: "With this very unhealthy air quality, we shouldn't open our tasting room today. We've got to make sure that both our customers & we stay safe. Let's announce on the social media that we are closed today."

パパ：「このかなり健康に悪い空気質では、今日テイスティングルームを開けるべきじゃないな。お客様とぼくたちみんなの安全を守らなければいけないからね。ソーシャルメディアで、今日はテイスティングルームはクローズだと伝えよう。」

Mommy: "I'm going to do it right now."

ママ：「今すぐするわ。」

Chicken A: "I just jumped up on to the higher place to get the fresh air."

にわとりA：「新鮮な空気を吸うために、高いところに登ったの〜」

Mommy: "It might be the higher place for you, but it's actually not very high for most of us. Good try, though."

ママ：「高いところだと思ったかもしれないけれど、実はほとんどの生き物にとっては、あんまり高いところではないのよね。でも、がんばったわよね。」

Serene: "You smell a little like smoky, Sunny. I'm going to lick and clean you."

セリーン：「サニーってば、ちょっと煙っぽいにおいがするよ。なめてきれいにしてあげるね。」

Sunny: "Thank you, brother."

サニー：「にいさん、ありがと。」

Makana: "It's morning, but it's a little dark and orange outside."

マカナ：「朝なのに、お外がちょっと暗くてオレンジ色っぽい。」

Ehime: "Someone, please open the door."

えひめ：「だれか〜　ドアを開けてくだしゃ〜い。」

At home　おうち

Mommy: "I guess you didn't enjoy being outside today, Ehime."

ママ：「ひめたん、今日はお外にいるの、楽しくなかったみたいね。」

Ehime: "My big eyes hurts because of the smoke."

えひめ：「煙で、わたちの大きなお目目が痛いでしゅから。」

Makana: "I understand. My eyes are getting watery."

マカナ：「わかる〜　ぼくのお目目も、ウルウルしてきた。」

Mommy: "Your eyes are always watery, Ma-kun. Well, I have a sore throat, too. I'm going to make some lemon tea now."

ママ：「マーくんのお目目は、いつもウルウルしてるけどね。なんだかママものどが痛い。レモンティーを作ろうっと。」
