Please stay cool. 〜涼しくしてね〜

The highest temperature is almost reaching 110F. We might have been used to the heat in Las Vegas, but working in the field in this heat is not that fun. But if that's what you have to do, then you have to do. Every time I go see animals, I can be happy anyway.

最高気温が43.4℃に届こうとしています。私たちは、ラスベガスで暑さに慣れたかもしれませんが、この暑さの中をフィールドで働くのは、あんまり楽しいものではありません。でも、それが自分のしなければいけないことであるならば、しなければいけないのです。それに、動物たちに会いに行く時はいつでも、私は幸せな気持ちになれますから。

Mommy: "Huh, huh... I found Cheer."

ママ：「はあ、はあ‥‥　チアちゃん、見つけた〜」

Mommy: "I walked with the hay from the other side of the house. It's super warm today."

ママ：「家の向こう側から、干し草を持って歩いてきたよ。今日はものすごく暑いわ。」

Cheer: "Thank you for the hay. I think I'm just eating like this. I don't even want to deal with standing up."

チア：「干し草を持ってきてくれてありがとう。私、こうやって食べるわね。だって、立ったりする気にならないんだもの。」

Mommy: "That's OK. You can eat in your comfortable way. Just make sure to drink the water, OK?"

ママ：「大丈夫よ。楽なようにして食べてくれればいいから。でもちゃんとお水は飲んでよね。」

At home　おうち

Kahlua: "Phew, it's warm, isn't it, Kona?"

カルア：「ふう、コナ。暑いよねー」

Kona: "Yes. But laying down like this on the floor feels good."

コナ：「うん。でもこうやって床に寝転がってると、気持ちいいよ。」

Ehime: "......"

えひめ：「‥‥」

Mommy: "Mm? Ehime, what are you doing?"

ママ：「ん？ひめたんは、何してるの？」

Ehime: "I just feel sorry."

えひめ：「かわいしょうだなあ、と思って。」

Mommy: "For what?"

ママ：「何が？」

Ehime: "That lizard. I think he is suffering from the heat. Can I invite him inside of the house?"

えひめ：「あのトカゲしゃん。きっと、暑さで苦ちんでるでしゅよ。家の中に招き入れてもいいでしゅか？」

Mommy: "Umm... I'll be happy if you don't."

ママ：「あ‥‥　それはやめてくれるとうれしいな。」
