Fully enjoying the country life 〜田舎暮らしを満喫〜

Last Saturday　先週の土曜日

Mommy: "Caprese salad with house-gown tomatoes & basil for appetizer is ready, and chopping house-grown zucchinis for grilling is done."

ママ：「自家栽培のトマト＆バジルで作った前菜用のカプレーゼサラダよし、グリル用の自家栽培ズッキーニも切った、と。」

Daddy: "Let's start to grill fillet mignon. I'm going to start to cook zucchinis 10 min before the steaks get done."

パパ：「フィレ肉のグリルを始めよう。ズッキーニは、ステーキが出来上がる10分前に調理し始めるね。」

Ehime: "Then, I'm going to clean brother Kona. (lick)"

えひめ：「じゃあ、わたちは、コナにいのお掃除をちましゅから（ペロッ）。」

Kona: "He he he♪"

コナ：「でへへ♪」

Daddy: "What a beautiful night. Let's eat dinner tonight on the patio looking at the vineyard."

パパ：「なんてステキな夜なんだ。今夜はぶどう園を眺めながら、パティオで晩ごはんを食べよう。」

Mommy: "That sounds great."

ママ：「いいわね〜♪」

Kahlua: "You can drop home-baked Artisan bread anytime. I'm right here to help you to clean up."

カルア：「自家製のアーティサンブレッド、いつでも落としてくれていいからね。ぼく、ここにいて、お掃除のお手伝いをするから。」

Ehime: "That's not the best place to wait. The food is usually coming down from daddy's side."

えひめ：「しょこは、最高の待ち場所じゃないでしゅよ。食べ物は、だいたいパパの方から降りてきましゅから。」

Daddy: "What does it mean?"

パパ：「どういう意味だよ。」

Mommy: My fillet mignon was cooked perfectly."

ママ：「私のフィレ肉の焼き加減、完璧よ。」

Daddy: "Oh, thank you."

パパ：「よかった。」

Daddy: "We are so lucky that we are living in this beautiful place."

パパ：「こんなに美しい場所に住んでいるなんて、ぼくたちは本当にラッキーだなあ。」

Mommy: "I agree. I hope we live here for a long time."

ママ：「そうね。ここに長く住めるといいわね。」

Last Sunday　先週の日曜日

Daddy: "Let's open the gate."

パパ：「さあ、門を開けよう。」

Kona: "Why do you close the gate at night recently?"

コナ：「最近、どうして夜に門を閉めるの？」

Mommy: "To let deer know that our vineyard is not 'all you can eat' for them."

ママ：「シカさんたちに、うちのぶどう園は”食べ放題”の場所じゃないって知らせるためよ。」

Ehime: "But I see them often in our forest."

えひめ：「でも、うちの林でよくシカしゃんたちを見かけましゅけど。」

Mommy: "Forest is OK. They can eat the grass and leaves as much as they want. That prevents the wild fire."

ママ：「林はいいの。草や葉っぱ、好きなだけ食べてくれていいのよ。山火事防止になるしね。」

Daddy: "Let's go for a walk."

パパ：「さあ、お散歩に行こう。」

Ehime: "Phew, it's already getting warm."

えひめ：「ふう、もう暑くなってきまちた。」

Mommy: "Do you want to u-turn at the brown house? It might be hard for Kahlua to walk during the heat."

ママ：「茶色い家のところでUターンする？カルアくん、この暑さの中を歩くのは大変かもしれないし。」

Daddy: "You are right. Let's u-turn."

パパ：「そうだね。Uターンしよう。」

At home　おうち

Kahlua: "The fresh water from the well is tasty♪"

カルア：「新鮮な井戸水、おいしい♪」

Kona: "I may need to get a refill."

コナ：「ぼく、お代わりもらおうかな。」
