Kahlua: "You and daddy are wearing the new T-shirt."
カルア：「パパとママ、新しいTシャツを着てる。」
Kona: "Are you two going out and leaving us in the house?"
コナ：「ぼくたちをおうちに置いて、お出かけ？」
Daddy: "Yes. We are going to the California Mid State Fair today. How do I look in the new Kula T-shirt?"
パパ：「うん。パパたち今日は、カリフォルニアミッドステイトフェアに行くんだ。新しいクラのTシャツ、どう？」
Mommy: "You look very comfortable in the T-shirt. I'm going to wear a Kula T-shirt, too."
ママ：「Tシャツ、とっても心地よさそうよ。じゃあ、私もクラのTシャツを着ていこうっと。」
The California Mid State Fair is held annually and runs for 12 days at the end of July. Some famous singers hold the concerts during the fair, such as Keith Urban, Garth Brooks, John Mayer etc. There are some animal auctions and shows by 4H & FFA children. And also you can see lots of exhibitions from the big competition of wine, beer, olive oil, vinegar, pie, jelly, cake, quilting, flower arrangement and many more things.
カリフォルニア・ミッドステイト・フェアは、一年に一度、７月の終わりに12日間開催されます。フェアの開催中は、キースアーバン、ガースブルックス、ジョンメイヤーなどの有名な歌手がコンサートを開きます。4HやFFAの子供たちによる動物のオークションやショーもあります。また、ワイン、ビール、オリーブオイル、酢、パイ、ジャム、ケーキ、キルト、生け花などその他たくさんの大きなコンテストの展示品を見ることができます。
My husband and I definitely wanted to see our wine that is supposed to be sitting in the exhibition room with the gold medal. But before the temperature goes up too high, we decided to go see animals.
主人と私は、展示ルームでゴールドメダルをつけて飾られているはずの私たちのワインを絶対見たいと思ったのですが、気温が上がってしまう前に、動物たちを見に行くことにしました。
Daddy: "Look at these cows, honey. They are big!"
パパ：「ママ、この牛たちを見て。大きいなあ！」
Mommy: "Wow! The size of their legs are almost twice as big as Happy's."
ママ：「わあ！この牛たちの足、ハッピーちゃんの足のほぼ二倍の太さだわ。」
Daddy: "Good looking cows. Does Happy need a husband?"
パパ：「かっこいい牛たちだ。ハッピーの花婿にどうかな？」
Mommy: "Are you looking at their butts, darling?"
ママ：「パパ、おしりを見てる？」
Happy: "Is anyone talking about me?"
ハッピー：「誰か、私のうわさをしてる？」
Serene: "That's your imagination."
セリーン：「気のせいだよ。」
Mommy: "Look. This pig is getting brushed, and she looks so comfortable."
ママ：「見て。この豚、ブラッシングをしてもらってる。とっても気持ちいいみたいね。」
Daddy: "That's the same as Ehime."
パパ：「えひめと同じだな。」
Ehime: "What? Me?"
えひめ：「え？わたち？」
Daddy: "Those horses might be for a carrier."
パパ：「あの馬たちは、馬車を引く馬かもね。」
Mommy: "They look cute♪"
ママ：「かわいいね〜♪」
Daddy: "Oh, tractors. Let me see..."
パパ：「あっ、トラクターだ。どれどれ‥‥」
Mommy: "He started again. I wonder if this will take a long time."
ママ：「また始まった。これ、長くかかるかしら。」
Daddy: "I'm going to use this photo for my next presidential campaign. He he♪"
パパ：「この写真、ぼくの次の大統領選挙のキャンペーンに使うよ。えへへ♪」
Mommy: ".... Good luck."
ママ：「‥‥ ガンバってね。」
Mommy: "This goat is adorable!"
ママ：「このやぎ、とっても愛らしい！」
Daddy: "Please don't say that you want to take her home."
パパ：「うちに連れて帰りたいって言わないでよ。」
Daddy: "Those are the students and dogs who are going to be in the show. They are practicing now."
パパ：「ショーに出る生徒さんと犬たちだ。今、練習しているんだな。」
Mommy: "Kona used to do 'spin' on a walk in Hawaii. But I'm sure he forgot."
ママ：「コナくんも、ハワイでお散歩のときに”スピン”をしていたのよ。でもきっと忘れてしまってるわね。」
Daddy: "Oh. They are taking goats out from the truck."
パパ：「あっ。トラックからやぎを出してるよ。」
Mommy: "It's interesting. They walk goats like they walk dogs."
ママ：「おもしろいわね〜 犬と歩くようにやぎたちと歩くのね。」
