ママ：「はっ！　ひめたん！　何してるの！？」

Ehime: "Well..."

えひめ：「だって‥‥」

A lady A: "That's OK. No problem. I just hold the glass."

女性A：「大丈夫。問題ないわよ。ただ、グラスは持つわね。」

Ehime: "I wanted to get a free massage."

えひめ：「無料のマッサージをちてもらいたかったでしゅから。」

A lady B: "You are so cute, Ehime. I give you a massage♪"

女性B：「えひめちゃんってば、かわいいわね。マッサージしてあげる♪」

Ehime: "Thank you♪"

えひめ：「ありがと♪」

Mommy: "Our Petite Sirah grapes are growing very well this year. I can't wait to taste them in September. They should be very sweet and delicious♪"

ママ：「うちのペティートシラー、今年とっても順調に育ってる。９月にぶどうのテイスティングをするの、待ち遠しいわ。きっととっても甘くておいしいわよ♪」

Mommy: "Are you listening to me, Ehime?"

ママ：「ひめたん、聞いてる？」

Ehime: "Um.... A little bit."

えひめ：「えっと‥‥　ちょっとだけ。」

There is our dream there. 〜そこに私たちの夢がある〜

Two weeks ago, at the vet　二週間前、動物病院で

Daddy: "Oh, no! You gained weight, Ehime!"

パパ：「なんてこった！　えひめの体重が増えてる！」

Ehime: "Really?"

えひめ：「ホントに？」

Kona: "Ehime recently eats my treats, too."

コナ：「ひめたん、最近ぼくのおやつも食べるから。」

Daddy: "It says 72.9 pounds. You need to go on a diet."

パパ：「72.9ポンド。ダイエットが必要だな。」

Ehime: "......"

えひめ：「‥‥」

Daddy: "Now, it's your turn, Kona."

パパ：「今度は、コナの番だ。」

Kona: "OK, daddy."

コナ：「はい、パパ。」

Daddy: "You lost your weight. I think it was 84 pounds last time."

パパ：「体重、減ったね。前回は、84ポンドだったと思うけど。」

Kona: "I don't have appetite these days."

コナ：「ぼく、最近食欲がないんだ。」

Ehime: "Are you scared of seeing a doctor, brother Kona?"

えひめ：「コナにい、お医者様に会うの、怖いでしゅか？」

Kona: "Just a little bit."

コナ：「ちょっとだけ。」

Ehime: "When we finish, can we get a treat?"

えひめ：「終わったら、おやつをもらえましゅか？」

Ehime: "Like a biscuit♪"

えひめ：「ビスケットとか♪」

Daddy: "Didn't I say you need to be on a diet, Ehime?"

パパ：「えひめはダイエットが必要だって言わなかったか？」

Ehime: "I don't hear such a thing."

えひめ：「しょういうことは、聞こえないんでしゅよ。」

Mommy: "Are you worried about Kona, darling?"

ママ：「パパ、コナのことが心配？」

Daddy: "Yes, I am."

パパ：「うん、心配。」

On Thursday two weeks ago, Kona got a shot to stop vomiting, and received a lot of medications for two weeks. On Friday, his condition got worse. On Saturday, we took him to the emergency room. And on Sunday, he passed away.

２週間前の木曜日、コナは吐き気を止める注射を打ち、２週間分のたくさんのお薬をもらいました。金曜日、コナの病状が悪化し、土曜日、救急病院へコナを運びました。そして日曜日、コナは亡くなりました。

Kona's cause of death was liver disease. Although, his pancreas was also caused bad inflammation at the end, and the specialist couldn't see if there is any cancer growing by giving him the ultra sound.

コナの死因は、肝臓疾患でした。でも最後には膵臓もひどい炎症を起こしていて、超音波をもってしても、ガンが育っているかどうかを見つけることはできませんでした。

Kona and I were so close physically every day. If I move 20cm away from him, he stands up and moves 20cm closer to me. Both my husband and I had a very strong connection with Kona for the last 10 years. We took him everywhere we went since he was a puppy. 

コナと私は、毎日ぴったりくっついていました。私がコナから20センチ離れると、コナは立ち上がり、私の方へ20センチ移動しました。主人も私も、過去10年間、コナとはとても強い絆で結ばれていました。コナがパピーだった時から、私たちはコナをどこへでも連れて行きました。

This year, we worked very hard every day, because one of the purposes of opening the tasting room was to spend time with Kona and Ehime even during our working time.

今年は、毎日本当に一生懸命働きました。なぜなら、テイスティングルームをオープンする目的の一つが、仕事中もコナやえひめと一緒に過ごしたいと思ったからでした。

At our tasting room, two weeks ago　二週間前、テイスティングルームで

Ehime: "I'm going to take care of brother Kona♪"

えひめ：「わたちが、コナにいの看病をちましゅから♪」

I wrote today's blog to move a baby step forward. The other day, Ehime whined when she held Kona's toy in her mouth, and that choked me. I sometimes feel like Ehime is me in the mirror. We all might be in the dark right now, but we would like to bring a little light to Ehime someday. 

赤ちゃんのステップで前に進みたいと思い、今日のブログを書きました。先日、えひめがコナのおもちゃを口にくわえた時、クンクンと鳴きました。それを聞き、私は喉が詰まる思いでした。時々、えひめは鏡の中の自分のように感じます。今は私たちは暗闇の中にいるかもしれませんが、いつかえひめに小さな明かりを灯してあげたいと思います。

Our sales girl 〜うちの看板娘〜

Ehime: "Did you call me?"

えひめ：「呼びまちたか？」

Mommy: "Yes."

ママ：「うん。」

Mommy: "I thought I'm going to clean you."

ママ：「ひめたんをきれいにしようと思って。」

Ehime: "Again?"

えひめ：「また？」

Ehime: "You just cleaned me some days ago."

えひめ：「数日前も、きれいにちたばっかりでしゅけど。」

Mommy: "I know, but you are now our only sales girl."

ママ：「わかってる。でもひめたんは、今ではたったひとりの看板娘だもの。」

Mommy: "You need to be pretty♪"

ママ：「かわいくしておかなくっちゃ♪」

Ehime: "Mgyu..."

えひめ：「むぎゅ‥‥」 

Mommy: "Would you like me to put on the doggie perfume, too?"

ママ：「犬用香水もつける？」

Ehime: "Absolutely not."

えひめ：「絶対にイヤ。」

At the vineyard 〜ぶどう園で〜

Mommy: "Wow, it's so foggy today."

ママ：「わあ、今日はとっても霧が深い。」

Ehime: "You are wearing a jacket."

えひめ：「ママが、ジャケット着てる。」

Mommy: "Because it's a little chilly this morning."

ママ：「だって、今朝は寒いんだもの。」

Mommy: "The grapes are changing color. I hope they grow well in a little chilly weather."

ママ：「ぶどう、色が変わってきてる。ちょっと寒いお天気だけど、ちゃんと育ってくれるといいな。」

Ehime: "Can'y you eat the grapes yet?"

えひめ：「ぶどう、まだ食べられないでしゅか？」

Mommy: "Not yet. Even when they finish changing the color, their sugar level needs to go up."

ママ：「まだよ。たとえ色変わりが終わっても、糖分のレベルが上がらないといけないもの。」

Mommy: "I guess the harvest is going to be in October this year."

ママ：「今年の収穫は、10月になりそうね。」

Ehime: "Hmm, there is no gopher here."

えひめ：「うーん、ここ、ホリネズミしゃんがいない。」

Mommy: "You are more interested in gophers than grapes, aren't you?"

ママ：「ひめたん、ぶどうよりホリネズミに興味があるのね。」

Resting your brain and body 〜脳と体を休めて〜

Ehime: "It's Monday. We are back to our regular schedule."

えひめ：「月曜日でしゅよ。いつものスケジュールに戻りまちた。」

Sunny: "Why are you taking photos of us?"

サニー：「なんで私たちの写真を撮ってるの？」

Happy: "Just leave her alone. Maybe she is bored."

ハッピー：「放っておきなさい。きっと退屈なのよ。」

Chicken A: "Don't you think we are outside of the coop for a long time?"

にわとりA: 「なんか、にわとり小屋の外に長くいると思わない？」

Chicken B: "We are. But we are busy pecking the ground right now."

にわとりB：「思うよ。でも今、地面をツンツンするのに忙しいの。」

Mommy: "Being busy could be good when you want to be away from your feelings. But we all need time off to take a break and rest our brain and body some time. For my relaxation, l'll take photos and bake bread today."

ママ：「自分の気持ちから離れたいとき、忙しいっていうのはいいかもしれないけれど、みんな時はお休みを取って、脳や体を休めることが必要だものね。リラクゼーションのために、今日は写真を撮ったりパンを作ったりしようっと。」

Ehime: "Let me know when you finish baking."

えひめ：「焼けたら呼んでくだしゃいね。」
