What do you want to pass on to the next generation? 〜何を後世に伝える？〜

These are Grenache grapes that were hand-harvested two days ago.

これらは二日前、手で収穫されたグルナッシュのぶどうです。

They were weighed and de-stemmed in the afternoon on the same day, and pressed yesterday.

ぶどうたちは測りにかけられ、同日の午後に茎取りの作業をし、そして昨日、プレスされました。

We don't use the stems for wine-making. They are either spread in the vineyard or just thrown away.

茎はワインメイキングに使いません。ぶどう園に撒かれるか、もしくは捨てられます。

Have you seen stomping grapes and gotten the juice out before? It must have been hard when ancient people didn't have the machine to press the grapes. Wine-making was happening even from B.C.

ぶどうを足で踏んで果汁を出すところを見たことがありますか？　古代人は、ぶどうをプレスする機械がなくて、きっと大変だったでしょうね。ワイン造りは、紀元前から行われていたんですよ。

We are making Rosé with these Grenache grapes. We can't wait to see how they finish next spring.

私たちは、これらのグルナッシュのぶどうで、ロゼを作ります。来年の春、どんなふうになるかを待ち遠しいです。

Makana: "Do you have to wait that long? Can you make it quicker like tomorrow?"

マカナ：「そんなに長く待たなきゃいけないの？　もっと早く作れないの？明日とか。」

Mommy: "Wine-making takes a long time. The red wine sleeps in the barrel about two years. By the way, Ma-kun."

ママ：「ワイン造りには、長い時間がかかるのよ。赤ワインなんて、樽の中で2年間眠るのよ。ところで、マーくん。」

Makana: "What?"

マカナ：「なに？」

Mommy: "Who taught you how to use the arm to sleep like that?"

ママ：「そうやって腕を使って寝るの、誰に教えてもらったの？」

Makana: "Oh, this? I invented. This way, you don't need to carry a pillow with you, but you can take a nap everywhere. I'm smart, aren't I?"

マカナ：「ああ、これ？　ぼくが発明したの。こうすれば、枕を持ち歩かなくても、どこでもお昼寝できるんだよ。ぼくって、天才じゃない？」
