Getting ready to move cows 〜牛たちを迎える準備〜

Ehime: "Forest? In front of our house?"

えひめ：「林？うちの前の？」

Yes. We actually have the oak forest in front of the house. We haven't used for anything since we moved in 2014, but we finally decided to put the fence around and move our three Jersey cows here.

そうなんです。実は、我が家の家の前には、オークの木の林があります。2014年にお引越ししてきてから、ここは何にも使っていませんでした。が、この度とうとうフェンスを立て、ここに三頭のジャージー牛たちを移すことになりました。

Mommy: "Thank you for waking the grass to the gate."

ママ：「ゲートまでの雑草刈りをしてくれて、どうもありがとね。」

Daddy: "You are welcome."

パパ：「どういたしまして。」

Mommy: "Do you think we have enough rocks to keep the trough steady?"

ママ：「水桶をしっかり保つための石、これで十分だと思う？」

Daddy: "I brought some stakes that we used to use for the chick-run. We can use them to support the trough."

パパ：「ひよこの遊び場として使っていた杭を持ってきたんだ。水桶を支えるのに支えるんじゃないかなあと思って。」

Mommy: "That's a good idea."

ママ：「それは、いいアイディアだわ。」

Mommy: "Let's finish up before the sun goes down."

ママ：「太陽が沈んでしまう前に、終わらせましょ。」

Daddy: "OK. Let's do it."

パパ：「うん、そうしよう。」

Mommy: "Do you want me to hold it, darling?"

ママ：「パパ。私がそれ、支えようか？」

Daddy: "That's OK. I don't want to hit you by mistake."

パパ：「大丈夫。間違えてママを殴ったら大変だから。」

Daddy: "I forgot something in the garage. Would you like to drive up with me?"

パパ：「ガレージに忘れ物をしちゃった。上までぼくと一緒にドライブする？」

Mommy: "Sure. Oh, gosh. This is the steep hill."

ママ：「うん。わあ、ここ、結構きつい坂ね。」

Daddy: "The sensor is on. Now let's connect the hose to the trough."

パパ：「センサーも装着完了。さあ、水桶にホースをつけよう。」

Mommy: "I'm going to turn on the water. Ready? One, two, three!"

ママ：「お水を出すわよ。いい？いち、にーの、さんっ！」

Mommy: "Oh, no! The water is splashing from the connecter!"

ママ：「なんてこと！装着部分から、水しぶきが上がってる！」

Daddy: "Maybe we didn't need the connecter. Let's take it off."

パパ：「コネクター、要らなかったのかもな。よし、外そう。」

Daddy: "I'm going to connect the hose directly to the sensor. Let's see how it goes."

パパ：「センサーに、ホースを直接装着してみるよ。これで様子を見てみよう。」

Mommy: "OK. Let's turn on the water."

ママ：「うん。じゃあ、お水を出しましょ。」

Daddy: "It's working great!"

パパ：「よし、ちゃんと出てるぞ！」

Mommy: "Yay! Next Saturday, we are going to walk three Jersey cows on neighbor's street. That's going to be interesting."

ママ：「イエーイ！次の土曜日は、ご近所の道を、三頭のジャージー牛たちを連れて歩くんだものね。見モノになるわよ。」 

Kona: "Wow! Three cows are going to walk on the street? I'm looking forward to it!"

コナ：「わあ！三頭の牛が道を歩くの？楽しみ〜！」

Kahlua: "Zzzz...."

カルア：「Zzzz....」
