To prevent bugs　虫除け

Kahlua: "What? Lemon in the grass?"

カルア：「えっ？レモン・イン・グラス？」

Mommy: "No, no."

ママ：「ちがう、ちがう。」

Mommy: "Not 'Lemon in the grass' Lemongrass. This is the good incense to prevent bugs. And also, I like this scent." 

ママ：「レモン・イン・グラスじゃなくて、レモングラス。これは、虫除けにいいお線香なのよ。それにママ、この香りが好きなの。」

Mommy: "We have a lot of clothes and two laundry baskets in the closet at this master bedroom. We want to keep the bugs away, and want to have a good aroma in the room. Come close and smell, Kahlua♪"

ママ：「マスターベッドルームのクローゼットには、お洋服が結構あるし、ランドリーバスケットもふたつあるからね。これは虫除けになるし、お部屋にいい香りを漂わせてくれるから。カルアくんもこっちに来て、においを嗅いでごらん♪」

Kahlua: "OK."

カルア：「はい。」

Kahlua: "Smelly!"

カルア：「くさっ！」

Mommy: "What!? That's not true. Come and smell again. See?"

ママ：「えっ！？　そんなことないよ。もう一回こっちにきて、におってごらん。ほら。」

Kona: "Kahlua, please be careful. That's the something to prevent dogs."

コナ：「カルアくん、気をつけてね。それは、犬除けなんだから。」

Picnic concert　ピクニックコンサート

Mommy: "Spicy Buffalo Drumsticks are done. Let's pack the picnic basket. Daddy and I are going to the free local concert tonight♪"

ママ：「スパイシー・バッファロー・ドラムスティック、できあがり。さあ、ピクニックバスケットを詰めようっと。パパとママ、今夜、地元の無料コンサートに出かけるから。」  

Our friend: "Hello. Thank you for inviting me♪"

お友達：「こんにちは〜　招待してくれてありがとね〜♪」

Mommy: "I brought some homemade pickles, too♪"

ママ：「ホームメイドのピクルスも持ってきたよ♪」

Daddy: "Our town has been holding the free concert for the local people, but this is the last event this year. I can't wait for the concert next summer already."

パパ：「ぼくたちの町が、地元の人たちのために無料でコンサートを開催してくれてたけど、これが今年最後。すでに来年の夏のコンサートが待ち遠しいよ。」

Vineyard next door　となりのぶどう園

Kahlua: "Mmm? I see a tractor at the next vineyard from us."

カルア：「ん？うちのおとなりのぶどう園に、トラクターが見える。」

Mommy: "They are putting the net over the vines to prevent birds and deer eating grapes."

ママ：「鳥やシカがぶどうを食べるのを防ぐために、ぶどうの木に、ネットをかぶせているのよ。」

Ehime: "Have we finished netting in our vineyard?"

えひめ：「うちのぶどう園のネットがけは、終わったでしゅか？」

Kona: "Yes. In a manual way, I heard."

コナ：「うん。手動だったらしいよ。」

Ehime: "Then, what are we feeding to birds and deer now?"

えひめ：「じゃあ、今は、鳥しゃんやシカしゃんに、なんのごはんをあげてるでしゅか？」

Kona: "Maybe the tomatoes that mommy is growing in the garden."

コナ：「ママが畑で育てているトマトじゃないかな。」

Mommy: "Look. Two people are holding the end of the net while one is driving the tractor."

ママ：「見て。ひとりがトラクターを運転して、ふたりがネットの端っこを持ってる。」

Everyone: "Ohhhhh."

みんな：「お〜〜〜」

Mommy: "Tractor moving forward slowly and two people behind are putting the net over the vines."

ママ：「トラクターがゆっくり前に進んで、後ろのふたりがぶどうの木にネットをかけてる。」

Mommy: "The more vines you have, the more work to do."

ママ：「ぶどうの木がたくさんあればあるほど、仕事もたくさんあるのね。」

Kahlua: "By the way, mommy. I think they are laughing at you stopping with three dogs and taking so many photos of them. I feel a little embarrassed."

カルア：「ところで、ママ。三匹の犬を連れながら立ち止まって、バシャバシャあの人たちの写真を何枚も撮ってるママ、笑われてると思うよ。ぼく、ちょっと恥ずかしい。」

Kona: "And are you still taking photos?"

コナ：「で、まだ写真を撮ってるの？」

Mommy: "This is country and I can see through everywhere. When I'm in the moment that I feel great, I need to take photos. I'm a blogger♪"

ママ：「ここは田舎で、どこでも見渡せるんだもの。素晴らしいと感じた瞬間は、写真におさめなくっちゃ。ママ、ブロガーだから♪」
